Haha, same here. Itâs honestly knackering going through all those breakups and awkward, pining eye-meets that feel so forced. If only theyâd just be honest with each other, or at least let things cool down before jumping straight to the breakup decree. And like you said, the worst part is all the hiding stuff and then doing the whole noble-idiocy dance.
And damn, I hate those jealousy tropes, lol. The writers are like, âOh, how do we show the viewers that he or she loves them deeply?â Just throw in a few dates or dances with the second lead and voilĂ , sudden realisation of love.

Pulling the story along without those tropes would take some seriously high-level screenwriting, which is why we hardly see dramas like that. Most shows end up falling back on love triangles, breakups, and similar devices. Itâs the âeasierâ way to keep the plot moving and stretch the content across 12 to 16 episodes. đ„Č

Yes, for once Iâd love a drama without childhood trauma or destiny-grade connections, no hovering third or fourth wheels, no problems that could be solved if people just opened their mouths, and please, spare me the noble-idiocy break-ups. Is that really too much to ask for?
Itâs been pretty cold here lately, so Iâm hoping this drama turns into something nice to watch after sunset, with a cup of tea. Does anyone know if itâll have any lingering love triangles or last-minute break-ups driven by the classic âIâll leave you because I love youâ sacrificial idiocy?
Iâm really curious about what made the nephew fall for her. He shows an almost endless patience and devotion, even in the face of harsh treatment and the cold shoulder. It has to be something pretty extraordinary, and I really hope itâs not just the usual trope of a few sweet words said when he was feeling low.
Saw the preview for ep 15 and 16, a typical trope of c drama which I donât like where ML pushing FL away because…
Everyoneâs talking about revenge, and Iâm a bit confused. I thought he was just trying to figure out who was really behind the accident, not take revenge on PZ. To me, it seemed like he just wanted nothing to do with him. Did I miss something?
Damn, this is the part Iâm least looking forward to. I just hope it doesnât turn into some long, messy angst and miscommunication.
And isnât this guy Zhulingâs boss? Like, doesnât he have way too much time to keep meddling, even in the game thatâs supposed to be the leadsâ safe haven? đ
I'm right here with you, back in the fire. And, thinking I might actually like this one more than Shine on Me…
I really hope HXâs dadâs accident doesnât make XZY feel guilty and send him down the whole âIâm leaving you for your own goodâ noble-idiot route, IF heâs actually connected to the accident, which my spidey senses are totally picking up on.
so far, not very much. might change as the story continues though!
He is listed as a supporting character in the MDL cast list, so why is he being referred to as the second male âleadâ? Is he actually a lead in the story?
Guys, how much screen time does the SML actually get? Iâve watched six episodes so far and he hasnât really made much of an impact. Iâm hoping it stays that way.
He's an NPC (Non-Player Character - Staff), she is a customer and can choose her role.
I thought the game had real people and NPCs interacting with each other. By the way, their face remains the same in the game? It doesnât change according to the character?

Two miscommunications? Damn! đ

â Mr. Darcy. đ„ș
