I agree, everything is quite understandable. The angst and everything is actually not too overboard, but seriously, it's obviously a bit dragged out (which is so typical for Chinese dramas). I'm also getting so impatient, which is why I was so hesitant to start watching this drama already. Unfortunately, I couldn't stop myself, so now I have to torture myself every week in hope for things I look forward to to happen, but probably won't. UUUuGGGGHHHH. Seriously, the synopsis on here IS SO BAD because it does not hint the angst/makjang elements AT ALL. It totally makes people think the leads are actually gonna be together and run a hostel and get through obstacles TOGETHER. Geez I just want to see lovey dovey stuff T______T
I seriously don't know what I want to feel about that Liu Wen Na. She is seriously pretty annoying and a bit nuts, but at the same time her character can be kind of hilarious. It's really a love-hate relationship here. But seriously, sometimes I want to strangle her with her over-confident, always lying to herself personality. Like wtf is wrong with you b*tch !!!! Really a typical, naive spoiled brat who doesn't know how to do much. I can tell her character is not bad or evil at all, but really just ANNOYING. I'm sure she'll be a likeable funny character when she gives up on the male lead....but as of now, she really needs to get a grip.
Ugh, so no matter what this story is, I just want Jang Ki Yong and Jin Se Yeon to end up together T___T But IDK how likely that's gonna happen if he's the serial killer damn.
omg i wanted him to be the main lead :( after seeing him as a vampire he is so hotttt....but when he reincarnates…
In some Korean articles I read, it's said Jang Ki Yong is playing the detective and Lee Soo Hyuk is playing the killer. But I guess there's differing information in diff articles... so who knows? EDIT: I looked into it and the reading table they had recently does have their character names on their name tags, so it does look like Lee Soo Hyuk will be playing the detective. But I agree that's such an odd choice....
I will be honest, I was disappointed. I wanted to see some good romance and the main leads overcoming obstacles…
Pretty much what the general Chinese audience thought. Most people hate HFX's character in this. Totally doesn't deserve the male lead. No idea what the screenwriters were thinking writing such a HORRIBLE lead character. I just found it laughable when she was crawling back to him. This show was definitely too long... Half of it was unnecessary. In fact, they started making episodes SUPER short even though it's supposed to be "45 mins".
I finished the ending, but I felt like there were still many questions unanswered.1) How did they even enter the…
Number 4 is definitely already answered in the show because HYX even said that herself. CYR could just kill herself again after HYX leaves, so that's why it's necessary to burn the tape. Plus, it also won't allow Xie Zhi Qi to ever have go back in time and cause all this.
Basically the main thing is the tape and not the cassette player. The target doesn't even need to be unconscious…
Yeah, initially that's what it seemed like, but when Xie Zhi Qi went back in time, and the last time Huang Yu Xuan went back in time shows that there's no need for the target to actually be unconscious. I don't think those are important factors for the time travel. Mainly just the tape, and having someone who actually looks like you in the past... and probably having someone you want to see?
I just watched and i am so confused how did they do it? Just the kid scene made no sense cauz after you can see…
Lol.. They destroyed the tape, so no one can ever time travel anymore. Their lives go on as they do... Mo Jun Jie, Li Zi Wei and Chen Yun Ru continue to live on as high schoolers, and Huang Yu Xuan goes back to 2019 and has no memories, whatsoever of any of them. She will never end up time travelling, Li Zi Wei will never become Wang Quan Sheng. The kid scene just shows that Li Zi Wei and Huang Yu Xuan are fated to be, and although their love story that was shown in this drama will never happen now that the tape is destroyed, they will still end up meeting in a new way. Huang Yu Xuan and Li Zi Wei are several years apart. When Li Zi Wei is a high schooler, Huang Yu Xuan is still just a little kid. But they met anyways, and their "fate" starts again from that moment. In fact, they were always fated to meet, as no matter with time-travelling or not, Li Zi Wei meeting the lost little Huang Yu Xuan was always meant to happen. Understand?
I'm a fan of Nine: Nine Times Travel, Signal, and Tunnel to name a few and if you watched any of those Kdramas,…
This is exactly what I said!!! The first time a time travel drama did not disappoint me at all, especially the end!!! (Seriously that train wreck of an ending that was Tunnel -_-) I'd say it's the best TW Drama of all time.. not just this year!! Seriously so proud of these writers to make such a big breakthrough on TW dramas. G E N I U S
even tho I'm satisfied with the ending, but they are all acted like Wang Quan Sheng didn't exists at all :"(my…
Well, unfortunately, the real Wang Quan Sheng was never really an important part of this story. And SADLY, he probably ended up committing suicide and dying because of being bullied and unaccepted :'( Since Li Zi Wei didn't end up in his body while he was drowning, he wouldn't swim up himself and live on. The most pitiful person in all of this is probably the real Wang Quan Sheng. Poor guy T_T
LMAOOO the ending was so hilariously sloppy I actually laughed. The drama had its comedic moments which I liked,…
After they caught the evil twin, I had a feeling things would go downhill as they really have nothing else to talk about. Them finding a cure, and Mi Ran having to go back into the freezer...I get it, they need some problem to keep the story going. But seriously, those elements really didn't contribute much to any plot development/character development AT ALL. Going back into the freezer really just happened to delay the ending of the drama lol.... But the point from Mi Ran waking up to the end of the drama was really SOOOO sloppy. Their reunion scene really did not do justice to 3 years of waiting and 3 years of being frozen all over again. And no reaction of her waking up again and finding out she was in the capsule again.... And seriously, I know it was supposed to just be funny, but it makes no sense that she wanted to go study abroad for up to 5 years after all this time away from her bf and her family.... Like ???? The fact that they all waited for you in pain for 3 years.... you had NO thought of marriage at all??? And then she reads a couple journals and suddenly realizes now she wants to stay with her boyfriend. My god. Literally just BAD, FORCED writing. I'm sure in real life, a girl would not need to read some journals for that to happen. And then after she says she no longer wants to leave, Dong Chan insists that it's actually a good idea for her to leave, and insists she should.... and just so happens gets a text at the moment from his niece telling him be a YouTuber overseas. THE END. LMAO??? Yeah, no. That ending read "IDGAF anymore" all over it.
LMAOOO the ending was so hilariously sloppy I actually laughed. The drama had its comedic moments which I liked, but I really agree that the ending really ruined everything. It wasn't amazing to begin with, but the ending really docked off a lot of marks. Chemistry was not bad, wouldn't say no chemistry, but it didn't tug at my heartstrings like Healer did. I have to say my fave JCW drama is still Healer to this day. hahahah
MASTERPIECE!!!!!! Seriously. One of the best dramas in drama history. I'm such a big fan of time travel dramas,…
Although the ending was KIND OF sad, but I am totally okay with it because it makes sooo much sense! And I guess the fact that they can still meet in the future and develop a new love story is satisfying enough for me! I'm so glad they filmed the extra 5 mins bonus scene, because I think I would've felt something is missing with the original ending!!!!! But now everything is COMPLETE!!! I just wish they would've hinted at what happened to Chen Yun Ru in the future too, but I guess the main characters are really just Li Zi Wei, Mo Jun Jie and Huang Yu Xuan.
I really think the fact that they made the doctor in the future go back in time and actually influence his young self and the one who actually controlled his older brother is GENIUS. And also the fact that Huang Yu Xuan's boyfriend was always Li Zi Wei. Whoever thought of this story is just AMAZING. Can't believe how well they were able to show how things are all connected and are like a cycle in time travel.... Just too goood.
MASTERPIECE!!!!!! Seriously. One of the best dramas in drama history. I'm such a big fan of time travel dramas, and I have to say, this is almost the only one that connects everything together SO nicely, and it wrapped up so well. For the first time, I don't have a billion questions still left to be answered, or feel like there's important stuff that they didn't explain. It's really the first time a drama uses the time travel concept so well and truly shows how events are linked like a cycle in time travel. There's a bit of everything in this drama! Super sweet, funny, great friendships, and even serious creepiness. This is the first drama in a long time that I'd actively recommend to people, because it's literally SO. GOOD. Cried SO much in the last episode, pretty much non-stop. I am really waiting for this drama to sweep all the damn awards because it totally deserves it! I cannot accept otherwise!!!!!! The whole cast did so well!!! I have to say that the doctor was so well-casted because he literally creeped the f out of me. Li Zi Wei's character is soooo sweet and the chemistry between the leads is amazing too! I swear Alice Ke has an eye for drama scripts because she seriously chooses some great dramas! I hope she wins Best Actress again because she totally deserves it for this drama. She played both characters quite distinctively and really carried most of the show. Greg Hsu, I'm sure is shooting to popularity now after this drama. Just really well casted overall! I have nothing but GOOD THINGS to say about this drama. I hope I'm not raving too hard and raising the expectations too high for others, but it's really such a masterpiece. I don't know anything else that tops this in TW drama history. And also the best in a long time amongst all Asian dramas. I haven't been so amazed by a drama since Signal.
Everybody please watch it!!! It's really such a good drama! Definitely wouldn't be disappointed! So glad someone's made an article on it :) It deserves to be on the Top Dramas list!
Been following (but not officially watching) the drama since it aired, and omg really one of the best Taiwanese dramas ever made and definitely the best in a looonng while! I really hope more people watch this and I'll see it on the Top Shows list soon! It really deserves its 9+ rating! Won't comment much until it officially ends, but the plot sure is really interesting. Kudos to the writers on creating such a unique story and playing it out this well thus far. LOVE Li Zi Wei's character! <3 He's such a sweetie!!!! I think pretty much everyone has fallen in love with him and Greg Hsu.
I haven't loved a Chinese drama in so long! Usually the modern dramas are so average and start spiraling downhill by the half way mark. This one is superrrr cute and funny! I love almost every single character here except the two villains. Although the co-workers can be kind of annoying, but it was really only for 2-3 eps. They actually all have a very loving relationship (minus Qing Qing of course). Love Yi Han's character and humour hahahaha and Tian Nuo is also super funny! Of course, super cute chemistry between the leads too! The typical torture of the two leads still exist though (wouldn't be a C-drama without it *rolls eyes*), but at least it's really only in the last 4-5 eps of the show. So much better than most c-dramas already! Gahhh I don't want this drama to end!
I'm sure she'll be a likeable funny character when she gives up on the male lead....but as of now, she really needs to get a grip.
So typical. They make it so obvious too
But IDK how likely that's gonna happen if he's the serial killer damn.
