I thought it wasn't going to be good because 1. the male lead wasn't given main roles and this is a historical…
Yeah, same. I think my other comment got deleted, but there’s no need to be mean and write comments like making “said no one ever” jokes and replying other people’s posts saying they like her, and replying stuff like they never heard anyone say they like her.
There are tons of other actors that I don’t like either, but I just choose not to watch. People need to accept the fact that there’s appeal to certain actors/actresses that other people see even if they don’t like them themselves.Just cuz u dont like them doesn’t mean others won’t. I used to post comments about not liking actors in certain dramas I wanna watch to, but even I start getting sick of saying the same crap over and over again.
It’s not that people can’t express their opinion, but honestly it is so unnecessary to be so rude. Also if the plot truly interests me, whoever is in it won’t stop me from trying to watch it.

And to put in my two cents, I really think people need to learn to grow up and stop going around complaining about who's being cast in a drama. Making "said no one ever" jokes and replying people's posts saying they never heard people saying they like her are actually quite mean. There are actresses I don't really like either, but I don't go to these dramas to post about how I'm so annoyed she's cast again and wonder why directors still choose her blahblahblah. I used to post a comment or two, but even I get tired of myself saying the same crap over and over again. I just choose not to watch it, and that's that. I accept that there are going to be people who somehow find a liking to people I don't like, so there is some market to him/her. Stop saying you don't understand, cuz you don't need to. Like by now, you should know how the entertainment industry is. Top quality actors and actresses are not the only ones that will exist in the industry. That's just now how it works.
And just because you don't like someone, doesn't mean there aren't other people who are willing to watch them. Plus, I'm not one to let an actor I don't like ruin a drama for me if I'm actually interested in the plot. If the story is good, I'll still give it a chance.

My mom has been watching kdramas for YEARS and she says she's completely hooked on this! (And she doesn't have low standards) Seems like it's a good start! Wasn't sure if I'd watch this, but now I'll check it out for sure~~

The characters were all pretty okay to watch; no one particularly despicable or annoying. But I really did not feel much connection with this drama. I loved certain arcs, like watching Pil Gu, Pil Gu and his father... Dong Baek and her mother, Hyang Mi and Dong Baek's relationship... But I think there were too many different stories, and started getting draggy in the middle with the whole murder mystery. I really lost interest by the halfway mark. I really did not like the fact that they tried to write off Pil Gu's dad as a horrible person and dad?? Except his character never made me feel that he's a bad person! It just made me feel the show was being ridiculous when they had Jong Ryeol look like an uncaring dad? I feel like the show was only showing everything in Dong Baek's pitiful life too much... I would've appreciated if the show would've wrapped things up between Pil Gu and Dad nicely, to relay a positive message... But no, I got none of that. They deliberately made him look so careless and like he doesn't care about Pil Gu (like giving him a horrible lunch, not knowing what he's allergic to, etc.) Like it's very inconsistent with how he acted towards Pil Gu throughout the drama?? Plus he IS a newbie dad, why isn't he being given a chance to learn and make mistakes? I just think it's ridiculous that this arc was never closed off properly. It ends with Jong Ryeol giving them money. Wow.

The murder mystery was pretty predictable from the beginning, but they spent SO LONG trying to "build up" suspense. But sorry, there really wasn't much suspense. Most people were able to guess who the murderer was after a couple of episodes...
I also really did not care much for the love story in this... Yong Shik is a really cute and sweet guy and all, but I guess this kind of love story just isn't my cup of tea.
So I guess overall, I'm not really that impressed with this drama, especially after seeing so many people rave about it, and a couple of friends telling me how it's "so good".
It was a nice watch in the beginning, but this drama had no clear cut element that really pulled me in. It's not really that romantic, not really that funny, not really a mystery thriller, and though heartwarming, wasn't shown that consistently throughout the drama.

The ending was just like ..???? to me.... Shi Kyung basically dies for nothing. He sacrificed but Bong Gu was still able to cause chaos from his hospital room. Bong Gu tries to start a war...but then the OTP decides they're gonna get married to show they're unified and the US somehow just decides, oh okay, that sounds so sweet, we're not gonna attack anymore. Somehow Bong Gu's threats are no longer an issue and they all live happily ever after.
I think I lost interest after Jae Kang died. All of that was really touching, then everything just started getting a bit boring after that. It was watchable, but just not that interesting or impactful. The story barely dove deep into Bong Gu's character and Club M, and WHY they're so motivated to do what they want to do. He was basically just crazy, and that was it.
OTP's chemistry is lacking IMO, but I think it has more to do with the lack of development in the beginning of their relationship. Just lazy writing overall...

Quite a boring drama for me. I can barely take Club M seriously, as they never expanded much about this Club M. They literally just told the audience they are powerful, crazy and evil, and they hate Korea a lot. That's it. And the ending.... ended very abruptly. More in spoiler comment above. OTP was just okay... I don't think their love story developed that well; didn't really show how deeply they fell for each other. Towards the end, I was dying to finish this drama just to get it over with.

Overall, I think I still enjoyed the ride.. I was invested enough in Tae Hee and Shi Hyun to cry when they broke up, no matter how dumb the reason was. LOL. The criticism I'd say is mainly due to the fact the drama barely had anything to do with the seducing women, and probably that it was too loosely based off the original work (which I've never seen/read, so I can't complain about that). But I wouldn't call it a bad drama and rate it a 3-5 just because of that. I also wouldn't call the whole plot "nonsense"... it's just cliche. (As usual, somehow EVERYONE's somehow related in everyone's secrets..) There ARE some elements which are pretty ridiculous but not exactly the whole story. I personally still love to watch certain cliche plots, playboy falling for a girl who changes him is probably one of them. I really liked Woo Do Hwan as Shi Hyun, as his cool handsome face and his smiling face are just so different. I think it really fit the character quite well, as he is super handsome and cool when he puts up the face, but when he's happy and smiling, the fool that's inside him really comes out. Kind of shows how we all are human, and happiness/blissfulness can make us naturally forget the mask we force ourselves to put on in front of others.

The characters in this drama were all broken in a way, all the young characters to all the adults. Many of them were selfish and pretty much just did stuff to get what they want no matter what. But there was a story, just a veryyyyy slow one with no development till the very end (other than the love story). I think people probably didn't like the drama cuz there were barely any normal, really likeable characters in the drama (Other than Hye Jung, I think she was so cute LOL). It was full of twisted, selfish characters. Of course it would be hard to touch an audience when everyone had problems and barely showed any development throughout the drama. The only people who showed some kind of positive changes throughout was probably Shi Hyun, Tae Hee and Hye Jung.

Specific parts of the drama that I had real issues with:
- Tae Hee breaking up with Shi Hyun when she found out her mom was the one between Shi Hyun's father and his mother/Suzy's mother. OK...so when Shi Hyun broke up with u cuz he thought his mother was the one involved in her hit and run accident, you were all like "ITS OK I HAVE YOU.. IT'LL ALL BE BETTER IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT." Now it's her turn and she's not capable of thinking that way?? Like wuuuuut? How is your guilt any less than a guy who thought his mother hit you with a car?? This breakup was probably when I started laughing cuz it's so ridiculous.

- Ridiculous addition of Ki Young in the second last episode where he suddenly goes crazy and violent. Like...??? I'm pretty sure that's not what your father meant by fixing things???

- SE JOO. JUST WHEN U THOUGHT HE'S THE ONLY SANE CHARACTER LEFT IN THIS DRAMA, he goes and tells Tae Hee about their game because what?? You love Suzy and you don't want her to leave??? Like huh???? You want to punish Shi Hyun for ruining everything? How in the world is THAT supposed to help anything? I thought you cared about your trio friendship? Then what about considering Shi Hyun's feelings? In the beginning, he actually seemed like he had some conscience and would be the one to tell them to stay out of the adults' drama. He wanted Suzy to stop hiding her true feelings and he wanted to stay by her side to heal her. But then whoopdeedoo, he loses that bit of sanity and decides that OTHER people are to blame for your broken friendship? The things he said to Tae Hee were just absolutely ridiculous and rude.. like wtf? Suddenly felt like he was the biggest jerk in the whole drama.

Honestly, though their trio friendship was enjoyable to watch, I'd say the friendship, in a way, was a bit toxic. They served as emotional support for each other and did everything together, which is super sweet and cute. But at the same time, they hid so many things from each other, lots of hidden emotions tucked away. They pretty much would just pretend nothing was wrong if they weren't willing to say it aloud, and encouraged each other to do pretty stupid shit. They would just support each other in getting revenge and trying to make things better, but in twisted ways. I know all three of them were pretty broken inside, but that was pretty much the problem. Three broken people are not really the best for each other. It totally makes sense why Shi Hyun fell for Tae Hee, because she showed genuine care and warmth for him. Whereas, although of course his friends cared for him, they weren't capable of SHOWING the love and warmth that a broken person needs. Just simply "playing together" and sticking by each other isn't what they all need. They honestly did not help each other to become better people. Shi Hyun and Se Joo treated Suzy like she was the Queen, which really just made her poor personality even worse.

What to say about this drama... I actually kind of enjoyed it? It's like a guilty pleasure drama... eye candy leads... sweet moments. Those were enough for me to stick around. And I actually didn't skip as much as I thought I would hahahaa. But really though, the plot is a huge cliche and pretty ridiculous at some points. Basically a typical plot of playboy who ends up falling for a girl with an actual brain, who doesn't actually fall head over heels for him just cuz he's hot. I wouldn't label it BAD, but all the criticism it's received is pretty justified. First off, they definitely shouldn't have name this drama "The Great Seducer", cuz it pretty much has nothing to do with seducing. It's just a hot guy that can pretty much get any girl he wants, but to name a drama with that title, the seducing part would have to be more relevant.. Instead, this whole drama is really about the elite society and its drama. IDK why people rooted for Suzy and Shi Hyun, cuz Suzy clearly has so many issues and is plain selfish. She strings along two guys, and deep inside, she is well aware they both like her. She wants to hurt people when she gets hurt... Pretty typical rich spoiled brat. I didn't hate Suzy's character though, but I definitely didn't ship her with Shi Hyun over with Tae Hee. I do agree with the comment below that Tae Hee's character is pretty mature, kinda innocent (relationship wise) but at the same time not a pushover, which is a good point.
The dramatic elements in the drama were pretty typical makjang...rich parents drama, break up-make up a few times... I don't mind those, as I've already accepted the fact that average dramas always use cliche plotlines. It's all understandable... where people do foolish things for love... rich people wanting to marry rich people...etc. I honestly don't mind watching cliche dramas sometimes. They still exist cuz people actually like these guilty pleasure dramas sometimes. Just don't jump into the drama thinking it's gonna be a GOOD unique drama. Then you won't be that disappointed. I'd still watch this drama for the sweet moments between the leads hahaha

The ending though... I really think they really did not close up Yo Han's CIPA battle very well... He kind of just got a little healthier and then that's it. Geez. And wtf is with Yo Han just breaking off contact for three years cuz he didn't want to be a burden and wanted to come back when he was "sure" of himself and his health. Like waaat! Isn't this drama trying to tell us to embrace pain and not try to run away from it? Don't try to get rid of pain, but embrace and share it with the people around you, and try to face it positively? So huh!? Why would you leave your loved ones out of it!!! Doesn't this defeat the whole moral of this story!?? Shi Young wanted so much to be a part of his life and be there by his side, but he just took that away from her and decided on his own. Kind of selfish in a way?? What if you fcking died and didn't make it!? Then all the people who cared about you wouldn't have been able to say goodbye! I really think this whole thing is soooo contradictory to what they were trying to convey this whole drama.... Totally wtf.

Seriously. I almost forgot how much I love watching Ji Sung. Thanks for reminding me, show <3
I don't watch medical dramas much, but I really enjoyed this one!! Wasn't slow paced, and the cases that they had were all quite interesting to me. Yo Han's character was very likeable and I think it was a nice change to see a female lead being the one to actively want to protect the male lead. Hahhahaa. Really liked the light romance here as well! Love Ji Sung's gazes omfg dljfakdjf Though it wasn't romance heavy, I felt it was just the right enough amount! Very believable realistic love story, and really liked the mutual support they had for each other. Loved seeing how Shi Young slowly crept into Yo Han's closed up heart. Though I do have one complaint.... see spoiler comment

In this drama Romance is really light yet powerful That's why I really like the romance between the leads. Actually…
I agree!!! I haven't finished watching yet, currently on Episode 12 (or 24) and though they aren't dating yet or anything, the romance is so subtle and light, but I reallly love it. Just the simple touches, glances, exchanging looks... already so enough for me. The emotional support they give each other is romantic enough!!! Ji Sung is just amaazzzingggggg

Didn't have really high expectations for this show, but I ended up really liking it! It's a very realistic story and all the characters really have very realistic stories/reactions to all the issues that arose in the drama. It really is a slow paced drama, but the artistic direction of this show is meant to be that way. At first I thought this would just be average, but the fact that this show was so realistic really kept me going. It was really enjoyable to see all the sweetness, and watch a couple stay united and strong while working towards their own future, something that they BOTH want.
Jung In and Ji Ho had great chemistry imo, loved all their kiss scenes! And not to mention how cute Eun Woo was!! I really wished he had a bit more screen time in the show!! Although Ki Seok was quite annoying and clingy even though Jung In had already asked to break up several times, at least I felt his character's behaviour is still quite realistic, especially considering the strong pride Korean men hold. Instead, the WORST character in this show was Jung In's father. Holy crap, it's just really sad that such parents actually DO exist in this world; where they are plain SELFISH and care more about THEIR reputation and pride over their children's well-being and happiness. It was really the last straw for me when he did not take her own daughter's side when he found out Seo In was being ABUSED. He took the man's LIES instead of his daughter's side!!! Like wtf!!! (SEE MORE RANTING IN COMMENT BELOW) On the other hand, Jung In's mother is REALLY one of the BEST parents I have ever seen in a drama. Her reactions were all so realistic and REASONABLE; showing actually care for her kids though holding very reasonable worries, BUT still showed soo much support for her daughters. Seo In's story really got to me and was very touching... all the sisters and her mother's reactions to hearing that she has been living in abuse all this time were so heartbreaking. Of course Seo In's husband is the biggest asshole on the planet, but I guess he didn't piss me off as much as the father did cuz 1) I already accept the fact that there are indeed such assholes and pigs in this world. and u can kick them out of ur life 2) IMO it's more despicable for a FATHER not to care about YOUR OWN CHILDREN

P.S. This PD clearly doesn't care about OSTs... Just like Something in the Rain, the SAME songs play OVER AND OVER again.... But I guess it didn't bother me much here

I usually wait till I finish the whole drama before writing a comment here, but holy crap I can't stand Jung In's father in this drama at all!!! He is definitely the effing worst character in this drama omfg... Honestly some people shouldn't fcking have any kids if they are gonna be selfish people. All he cares about is his reputation, his job, and money. How can he ask Jung In to just continue on with the relationship when she doesn't like Ki Seok anymore? "So I should just pretend to like him?" "Why not?" Like holy crap... it just disgusts me how selfish he is. As if that wasn't bad enough, it makes me BLOW UP that he wants his own DAUGHTER to stay with an ABUSIVE husband. LIKE WUUUTT???!!! No matter how traditional minded the older generation may be, HOW can you be okay with someone HITTING ur daughter and ask her to just forgive and forget??????? How can you believe it's just a "mistake"? Asking her to forgive is one thing; he barely even blamed the husband!!!!! Do you even hear wtf you're saying, old man?? Just mind blowing.
