Sometimes the best things about a drama is the way they make us feel watching it. Emotional investment can often…
This is exactly it. If you're going to try and be critical about a drama, you can easily find faults in any drama. I don't think there's any drama that's PERFECT with absolutely no flaws. The reason why this one is rated so highly is because of the overall emotions and feels it gave the viewers. Chemistry is definitely one of the things that hooked most people. This drama overall had a good balance of everything; that's why it was satisfying. It doesn't need to be a 'masterpiece' to be highly liked or highly rated. Keep in my mind most viewers don't sit down and try to analyze the dramas they watch; they just want something enjoyable and exciting, and this drama delivered those things well.
The ending is just full of wtf??? to me....After watching the last two episodes, all I was thinking was "wtf did I just watch?" First off, not being able to see Lee Je Hoon's face in the last episode was sooo disappointing! Though I can KIND OF understand the reason why they want to show his body more... But most importantly, I still cannot understand the bullshit Soo Yeon was thinking, hoping to just be a passerby and not go through treatment??? LIKE SURE, spend the whole drama talking about how much you like the girl, but you don't like her enough to want to keep living??? Like ?????? Am I understanding this show wrong or something?? This drama did NOT do a good job of showing his inner pain and how much 'pain' he is in, to the extent of not wanting to live anymore. Sure, the story touched upon it, but definitely not impacting enough for the viewers to believe it! And isn't the point of this love story supposed to be somewhat motivating, that meeting her would change him and make him want to live on? Instead, it's like he has a random epiphany before she plunges the syringe in him..... Soo Yeon and In Woo making up was also too rushed... though I won't complain about that too much... Anyhow, it was a cute drama, and I love airport themed dramas, but there are sooo many flaws to this story, and I really don't think the story made any strong points at all -_-
Lool at all the comments.... This is why I sometimes feel like I should go back to starting dramas right when they start airing....So many dramas with good premise that I want to try, but then it turns out being shitty and I don't want to watch them anymore :( Can't tell if that's a good or bad thing hahahhaa. Alright, guess I'm deleting this off my list....
But seriously did Baek literally do all of this stuff just so he can get a girl? He made the mistake of raping a girl in the past, now he's determined to 'force' a girl to sleep with him using religion? My god... Makes me wonder if he became crazy because he raped the girl, and the girl suicided... Now he's justifying his sin using this fake religion?
Really interesting to see the concept of cults and exactly how scary and creepy they are. There are actually cults like this in real life.... Just finished watching Episode 12.. that last scene with the convo between Baek and Sangmi was so creepy and disgusting that tears literally ran down my cheeks after I finished the episode. Teared up for a good minute or two. My god. Revolting man. Just really gets to me when girls are seen as prey like that.
Can't believe barely anyone on this site is watching this drama??? Like??? What is wrong with you people!! Just cuz there aren't any super popular or young actors... :'(
I also RARELY drop dramas, but this drama was just soooo boring.... It took me forever to even get to the half mark. When I reached Episode 19/20, I was like !? How is this only halfway there!!! The female lead was super annoying most of the time, and the plot seriously got nowhere. I wouldn't even have gotten halfway if not for Ji Chang Wook. I will TRY to finish this, as I really don't like to leave dramas unfinished, but it's been more than a year and I still haven't bothered.
This drama is so confusing. I'm about to start episode 9 and there are some things that make no sense at all.Is…
No, it's not really time travel. Basically everything is just a dream. He can imagine them so vividly because (I think) he had actually read the files of those cases in 1988, and the team behind them; therefore he knew their names and background already. I agree this drama can be kind of confusing... I think it has to do with the pace.... I was personally disappointed with this drama.
Sorry, this ending was pretty BS to me. For a person that was expecting time travel police crime drama, the ending is very dissatisfying to me. To tell me that everything was just a dream. Basically NOTHING was really accomplished. ????? Moreover, nothing in this drama suggested to me he was that depressed in his old life to justify him feeling happier in his coma than returning to his real life. Maybe he really was, then this drama should've shown more elements in the beginning suggesting that. I'm really disappointed. Everyone seems to think it was a masterpiece, but the pacing of this drama was kinda slow near the end. So many cases stringed together, one after another, and yet the audience is still waiting for a big reveal on how he can wake up, why he was sent here... blahblablah. Everything ends up being a dream and just revealed in the last episode. Not much build up either. Sigh, yet another disappointing time travel drama. It's worse cuz I was really interested in this premise and it started out great... but ... ugh.
they should've made this drama a movie, cuz 16ep is a tremendous waste of time, I love the acting and the actors…
???? I'm sorry, but what do you mean there is no story to follow, everything happened in the past? Something happened in the past, but that is still a story... And even in the present, there is still a story. The story is a secretary and her boss have been working together for 9 years. He is narcissistic and doesn't really want to be in any relationship but with himself. When she finally decides to quit, he realizes he relies on her and doesn't want her to leave his side. Hence, a romance story commences. She's also trying to find a childhood friend because there is a part of her childhood memory that she knows exists, but doesn't remember what it is, and she's trying to find out. Maybe it's not a story you find interesting, but it is still a story. Just because there isn't any action, twists and turns in a drama, doesn't mean there is no story... There is still a main plot to this. It's not like you're watching them do office work every single episode and nothing else.
And what do you mean you can put the characters into another drama and it wouldn't make any difference? That itself doesn't make any sense at all. And how does the fact that things only happened in the past make this not a story? The past affects the present. It makes up what happens in the story. I understand people might not like this drama, and it's not their type of drama, but seriously the criticism you are giving doesn't make sense. That's why you are getting challenged.
there was no story to begin with nor to finish, so for me I just enjoy the acting in this drama, cuz there's nothing…
Ok.. just because it's kinda predictable doesn't mean there is no story... and it is still meant to be a mystery. The fact that you could guess the answer to this mystery doesn't mean it is not one. The word mystery also does not mean this is a police case where we need to know who the kidnapper is.
The things you are saying really don't make sense. What do you mean they shouldn't even have bothered hiring an actor for the kidnapper? The fact is, there WAS a kidnapper, and that's the reason why Young Joon has become the way he is, and why he and his brother have fallen out. Of course they need an actor to show this part?? What should they have done? Make a paper puppet?
I really don't get the current 8.9 rating here, it's so cliche for the most part, predictable, nearly none of…
Even if there are cliches, if the writing is done well, it can still be a good drama. The "cliches" in this drama are pretty much romance wise anyways, but if the couple is great together and they have good fluffy scenes, then even a cliche romance can be loved. Plus cliches are clearly overused cuz they used to catch people's interest, just whether they are done well or not, and if they put their own little spice to it. There is no requirement for a drama to be unpredictable in order for it to be enjoyable. You think the chemistry here is flat, but most people probably don't think so. So that's why it's 8.9.
To be honest, there should not need to be a set of rules to lay out that reviews shouldn't be written when a drama is still airing. Do people even understand what a drama REVIEW is? It is not supposed to be about your feelings of how a drama looks like from the first episode. That is more like a PREVIEW? I don't understand why people think it's okay to write a review on a drama that's not even done... It's supposed to tell readers about the overview of the beginning to END. Like people, are you gonna watch a movie and pause after the first five minutes and write a review about that? No? Then it's like literally the same thing you are doing with drama reviews after one episode.
-- PS such a great start to this drama! Been waiting for soooo long, and I am so looking forward to this CP. PLS DON'T DISAPPOINT *crosses fingers*
Plot is very very average.. As usual stupid modern Chinese dramas love to add stupid REPETITIVE elements to keep the leads apart..... They make the characters very stupid, and I swear almost NONE of the characters are normal in this drama *rolls eyes* And the usual annoying mother who don't want the main characters together also exists in this drama as well. Also, the drama loves to waste time on side characters (that we really don't care about) rather than showing us the lead characters.... The ending was also very very very x 10000 disappointing as it was super rushed, and once again, barely gives the lead characters any screen time together. However, Janine and Zhang Han are TOO GOOD together, so I still give this drama a 8 (HAHA)...SOLELY for their chemistry and cute scenes (there was NOT ENOUGH). It was an amazing drama in a way as although the plot just makes you want to stab the writers and roll your eyes, you still want to keep watching cuz of the two leads. However, that only worked cuz I was watching as it was airing. If you're binging, just use the fast foward button. It's worth skipping through the 46 episodes just to watch the leads together ;)
