You mean without VIP membership? I think it'll take a bit of time for them to make it completely free... Like a month or two? Or maybe longer, might not even happen haha...
Okay, After watching these dramas, I have a pending question...How do people go from living together as brother…
Come on people, just cuz their parents brought them up as "siblings" doesn't necessarily mean the two people actually feel that way. It's not like when the parents tell them "OK YOU GUYS ARE SIBLINGS NOW", they'll automatically turn on some switch that makes them feel like they're blood siblings. Living together just makes them very close, it doesn't automatically make you feel like siblings.... It's pretty much like having a best guy friend and getting so comfortable, you don't realize you really need them and have special feelings for them. Plus, they were labeled as "siblings" by Duan Ran's parents, so naturally, even if they felt hints of such feelings, they would've brushed it off and convinced themselves it's not true. Also, it's not like they were brought up as siblings from DAY ONE. They only lived together AFTER several years of being childhood FRIENDS. We don't even know exactly what age her mom died. They could've been in their preteen years or even later. And you can tell that Xixi doesn't actually fully see them like her real family as she tries to keep things to clear-cut between them and feels like she owes them a lot, and she only calls them "Auntie" and "Uncle". That proves she doesn't actually see Duan Ran like a biological brother. Of course, there are many cases when people who are too close really cannot fall for each other cuz they think it's so awkward, but it's still very possible for it to happen when they are not real blood siblings. It all comes down to compatibility and fate. When you have that, PLUS you spend SO much time together, that even increases the chance of two people falling for each other.
Currently reading the webtoon and I'm still on Suho's team since the beginning, I really can't ship Joo Gyung…
Haha I'm all caught up with the webtoon and I'm still Team Suho. That's never gonna change!!! I think it's pretty clear from the beginning that Suho and Joo Gyeong are supposed to be endgame with the fact that he was the first one to see her barefaced and didn't mind at all. (At least that's my hope HAHA) So I was pretty convinced I just needed to be patient. But I agree the webtoon just completely strayed off its path in the middle with Suho exiting from the webtoon for waaaay too long.
I really wonder how they're going to adapt this into a 16-ep drama since this webtoon is still ongoing.... Cuz I'm freaking Team Suho!!!! If this is just going to be in the high school years......I hope they end it satisfyingly.
Totally agree. I find it very reasonable for relationships to start around the halfway mark! Too early isn't realistic…
Yeah, but what I mean is if they get together even earlier than this, then we'd just get MORE emotional angst that we don't want. So the midway point is reasonable. Misunderstandings and breakups will most likely happen IMO since this is 40+ eps. Maybe Duan Ran's parents or mom will get in between them. But fingers crossed that this will be an exception.
Wow!!! That ep 23...... BOOM!!!!! I felt satisfied that they got into a relationship past 20 episodes.... The…
Totally agree. I find it very reasonable for relationships to start around the halfway mark! Too early isn't realistic and no good for future plot development. That would just give the writers more chances to write misunderstandings and makjang stuff.
In case anyone wants to know, the romance should start in the 20's and their first kiss is around Ep 23-24 :) I've seen GIFs of one of their upcoming kisses and omggg even though it's not a makeout scene... *swooons*
I totally wasn't going to watch this because of the comments about Xi Xi being annoying...but she's actually not…
Yes, you're right! Xixi may not be CEO material, but she definitely has capabilities and works very hard. She's much more realistic than Ranran. Actually, the whole point is the two of them together make a BALANCE. You can tell Ranran has no realistic concept of money, being the rich second-generation son he is, so he needs Xixi to restrain him and stop him from making rash decisions. Whereas Xixi needs RR's sociable skills, business knowledge and his willingness to take risks. So far, the people I see complaining that Xixi is annoying are clearly just fans of the male lead/character or probably just think think males should always be the dominant character. They just don't like seeing her take away his CEO position and deliberately make things hard for him *rolls eyes* First of all, bickering is literally their thing. It's normal for them to insult each other. I don't see people complaining when Ranran literally kept putting the girl down and saying she's stupid and incapable of being CEO to her face.... Secondly, everything she has been doing has been for the company's sake. The company is indeed in troubling times, so it's not wrong for her to be petty with money. Also, Xixi knows she's actually there to help Ranran grow and become the eventual CEO. (Like do you actually think she believes the Duan family is gonna let HER be the CEO over their own biological son? Yeah, I don't think so.) So that's why she's being harsh with him, cuz he needs it! And yes, there was that scene where they literally directly discuss their unique relationship and whether they would work out or not. That's clearly a hint of where their relationship is heading. Just be patient, peeps~
Loving this drama so far. I agree this is a really realistic business plot and it's clear that this is about GRADUAL…
So many comments were complaining how the male lead should've been CEO rather than the Xixi, but it is clear this is the whole point of the story. Like come on, people. It's obvious the male lead is going to have his success at some point in the drama. Why does it have to be NOW?Why do people think the guy has to be the CEO all the time? The whole point is to watch him grow and actually become DESERVING of the position. They're both not extremely capable (plus this company is a total special case; it was going to be dumped anyway), but in comparison, Xixi would make a better ultimate decision-maker rather than the arrogant guy who thinks he's better than everyone and isn't aware of his own flaws. Xixi is clearly there to assist him in his growth journey, and even she knows that herself.
Loving this drama so far. I agree this is a really realistic business plot and it's clear that this is about GRADUAL growth and development. You can tell when the male lead is not a cool, capable CEO right from the start, but instead, he's arrogant, very green and actually does NOT get to be CEO right away. He has to grow and change to be an actual fitting business leader. As for the romance, I'm not sure why people are saying they don't feel the romance, because I certainly do. I don't get why people just say "no romance is happening" just because they're not actually TOGETHER or don't blatantly say they like each other, or don't have much skinship. Like all of their mini interactions ARE development of romance. Plus, do you HONESTLY want them together so early in a drama that's 40 plus episodes? Cuz if you actually know dramas, you'll know the earlier they get together, that just means more misunderstandings / breakups in the rest of the show lmaooo.... It's again, not supposed to be heart-fluttering cuteass romance right from the start, but instead, these two have been a bickering duo ever since they were kids, so naturally they are not going to have ambiguous interactions right off the bat. It's not supposed to be a guy pursuing girl, or girl pursuing guy story, but gradual realization of long-existing hidden feelings. But even with their bickering, I totally find them cute (same with many Chinese viewers), and I find the eventual transition to romance very believable. They are very comfortable with each other, and the feelings are there, but they have obviously chosen to brush off any hints of those feelings all these years due to their unique relationship. Only after spending more time together and cooperating, and with 'third parties' as catalysts, do those feelings start to really surface. The business part is also very interesting to me, the pace of it is great so far, and it's really refreshing to have a look into this live-streaming business. I love watching them think of new ideas and watching the business slowly get better step by step. However, this IS a 47 episode drama, so I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't go downhill.... I don't have my hopes up high though, because 9 out of 10 times, these longass modern dramas always disappoint near the end looool.
OMG just read that the actor has the "no kissing contract" thing. So disappointing that they choose Allen Ren…
Oh, god. Modern dramas with plain kissing scenes are sooo disappointing. T___T But it really does seem like he doesn't do many kissing scenes... But to be fair, most of his previous dramas were ancient ones, so that could be one of the reasons and not really a no kissing rule thing? Hopefully in modern dramas he'll have good kissing scenes???
Xu Kai + Bai Lu = Imperial Cuisine, onlyFor me, and as I think for many, Bai Lu will be always the first and only…
Geez, some CP fans can be so toxic. If you don't want to watch XK / BL with other people, then just don't watch their other dramas. No need to bash the other actress. But don't call yourself fans of the actors cuz you should know two people working together a billion times does NOTHING for their individual careers. In fact, an originally good CP will just end up boring people if they just keep pairing up again and again. Plus, they can make a good pairing with other actors too. (Clearly you need to go watch Love is Sweet cuz BL and LYX are amaaazing there.) Having VARIOUS opportunities is what true fans should be hoping for, AND it's the normal path of every actor. And Yu Zheng did not PROMISE anything about this drama. Decisions for dramas are everchanging, especially in the Chinese industry. You should know this already. Also, in this time and day, whether a drama gets aired on national TV barely makes a difference. If it's a good drama, it'll be a good and popular one even as a web drama. One that airs on TV doesn't guarantee it major success. Lastly, XK and BL got to be paired up twice already. Some other pairing fans don't even get to see their fave couple act together twice! Be happy!
this is literally the show im looking forward to the mostlike out of any show everyanxi palace is my #1 fav show…
Us KaiYan fans have been waiting for SOOO long, everyone is basically crying tears of JOY. Especially when Yu Zheng kept promising a collaboration ages ago and kept disappointing everyone. It's def true and happening! Their interactions in the blessing ceremony has us all excited!!
