Imo, they couldn’t have casted anyone better than Poom as Zhou Xiang. Although he isn’t what I initially pictured as ZX, I believe that he exudes that masculinity that SQC describes him as in the novel. I also like that, compared to the novel, ZX stands his ground, is more confrontational, and is "in-tune" with his emotions (notably pre-accident ZX). In the novel, ZX was more of a desperate hopeless romantic. Also pleasantly surprised to see ZX driving a truck (never imagined that he would).
Similarly, I was initially a bit hesitant about Up being YMX but appearance wise, he’s quite suitable for the role. His acting skills are also good. I’m just surprised about the changes they made to YMXs character. Compared to the novel, Ming is a lot more tame and "soft spoken" compared to the confident, domineering, and absolute asshole YMX. Don’t get me wrong, Ming is still a dick, but the contrast to the original character is a bit drastic.
Can’t wait to see how this progresses. Many things are moving quicker than I expected but I hope that it’ll stay true to the main events in the original story.
Han Taeyi is the most convincing cold/distant character I’ve seen BY FAR.
Normally when you’re watching a drama and see a character like this, you’re like "oh, they’re great at ACTING cold," but Ji Hogeun.. I feel like that look in his eyes and the aura he gives off seem wayy too natural that I’m really surprised by it. It doesn’t seem like he’s acting LOL. Good first impressions for him so far!
I just cant.. I relapsed, y’all. After finishing this drama 2 years ago, I still have Mouse fever at least once a year and this year is no different. I’m in a major drama slump rn bc, after watching Mouse for the 3rd time through, everything else pales in comparison.
It’s literally driving me crazy and is making me feel frustrated lol— like, so many thrillers are coming out this year but I’m still suffering in the afterglow of Mouse. I swear, Choi Ran put something in this drama that still makes it so damn hard to get over. Tried basically every thriller there is on the market rn, but Mouse is always there to remind me how it’s my sleep paralysis demon.
Just started watching and holy moly did that first ep pack a punch in terms of plot.. fast-paced too. I blinked and 3 backstories were revealed lmao. Looking forward to it!
Whoever wrote the dialogue for this show deserves some recognition.. like, so many lines can be interpreted one way or another.
For example, when the Headhunter said to Bareum: "I hope that Yohan doesn’t take over your brain. I mean it." who would’ve thought that he meant.. yk THAT
On my 3rd round now n the script still never ceases to amaze me
Jo Dan is fishy to me for some reason. Gaetal can be anyone at this point, and character-wise (of Gaetal), JD and LMS fit the description best 🗿 Gaetal seems like a p whimsical guy, so prob not the ice-cold exterior type?
On a side note, I noticed that Gaetal is speaking in a more.. how do I say this.. theatrical fashion? It kind of reminds me of how the ministers talk in costume dramas lol. I’m loving it tho
insanely adrenaline-pumping so far, and I love it! although, it prob will call for a rewatch cause' I can’t remember the plot when only 1 ep is released per week 💀
