I think they know they have feelings at the very least care for each other But he always talk about leaving. When she said that leaving now doesnt mean he couldnt come back, his answer was a pathetic 'yeh, sure' So she doesnt hold onto him, and tries to make it a clean break for both their sakes. Then he becomes mean because, i dunno she's not begging him to stay or leave with him, she's just letting go. Or maybe that's where his trauma with his mother's death comes in. That why he felt abandoned by fcy. And desperate to hold unto her anyway. But they were having a spat,she's hurt and confused by his words and actions. She didnt deserve him being mean to her. I think the last thing she wanted then was to be forcibly kissed.
