Tbh i wasnt that impressed and hooked in the first few episodes However i found myself looking forward to the next ones and realized I'm really enjoying this
I'm very satisfied with how she got her revenge and her justice. Im also glad that she was given an opportunity to call out the emperor. For some reason, I'm not surprised his crown prince grew up to be like that.
I really like their slow burn romance. It wasnt the focus but it was there. I loved how he quietly and solidly supported and steadied her. He's i think, her north star. Their giddiness when they resigned, lol.
Im not sure of a season 2, because i dont want to see the emperor and that cp again. I mean they can off each other and let our leads ride into the sunset.
Dem Netflix i thought it will be done in the next 2 eps. 😅 But if we have more episodes, PeiYi is playing a long game. She's making herself more and more isolated. A much better seemingly weak target. The way the chancellor did his villain exposition, i dont think he would allow her to live.
Peiyi poisoning the whole council was definitely the nuclear option. I doubt anyone will come to any of her future…
I dont think she wouldnt mind not having to host big banquets. 😁 If she would have to, most probably the attendees are people she would trust and trust her and there would be no need to dose them of mushrooms
They don't think they can go back! Hence their sole mission is to survive this world and be happy! They are not…
Personally, I think they're smart enough to use birth ctrl. Esp when Wanyin said something like 'you wish' to ceo dan when he was taunting the dying dowager about having an heir. They wouldn't want a child be born while the court is unstable and dangerous.
All the case mini stories in this drama ended badly. Sometimes really unnecessary. Especially the healer story.…
For me it still sort of makes sense. She does like medicine and that she can help people. But she's ready to give it up or at least not pursue it as an imperial dr. It was her friend who insisted she take the apprenticeship. It was her friend who's always pushing her to succeed. Losing him, i think, she lost her motivation as well. I also think she feels very guilty that her friend killed people for her. I think she didnt waste the opportunity the friend gave her, she did solve the epidemic. That's why she was desperate to complete her notes after his death. Pei yi felt that and left the room for her. You can see afterwards, that she was very tired.
so i like it. but i'm not yet fully invested?
i dunno.
still watching though

I would want to take a nap (because i can no longer call it sleep) but my head's still buzzing.
So wish me luck later 😂

That small post credit scene was a nice hook to rewatch it . 😁
