On The Last 10 Years Jul 24, 2023
Recently, I've been suddenly thinking more about this movie with the scene of her dream. The "what if" moments in movies/dramas has always been bittersweet and this particularly, feels more painful to me now. Life is actually long and there's a lot to live for... I want to die but I'm actually scared of death.
On The Real Has Come! Jul 24, 2023
I only knew this drama for its high ratings (like common weekend dramas). But I randomly visit this page and I'm surprised that it has over 11k comments. It has even more than other popular dramas with big actors. Seems like everyone is really invested in this drama.

Seems like the first teaser they released was just for introduction and the airing date in November is still far. I'm looking forward to the official trailer and promotion when this drama comes.

4 months to go 🔜

Seo Jihoon has a lead role in "Youth". This drama has been in production since 2019 and will finally be released later in November 2023.

I'm sorry but the ending scene made me laugh despite supposedly being emotional. They could have just simply watched the sunset at the rooftop but they wanted to be dramatic and go down by the window. And that was the hardest kissing scene lol.

It was nerve-wracking and almost tragic, but also, it is definitely a magical and hopeful moment. A movie ending that signs for a new beginning... Truly memorable.

This is such a beautiful movie with cold atmosphere. The subtleness is striking. Their gazes alone moved me. I love the chemistry and relationship between the office worker and window cleaner despite not having direct contact until the end. Lonely souls creating a special bond and comfort through the unexpected ways. It's so wholesome. This movie have that hypnotizing vibes that I love and in this case, it's more realistic. I was so immersed with how their days was passing by and their life unfolding. I felt their emptiness, loneliness and anger bottled up until that ray of light finally came and brought warmth together.
On Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Jul 19, 2023
This drama is perfect for me! I like season 1 but season 2 is so much better. Fantasy/Supernatural genre is my most favorite and this drama served it well. It's so exciting and satisfying. I think the 1930s era just made this drama more beautiful and intense. The vibes, costumes and settings are impeccable. I just love and enjoyed everything about this drama especially the characters and their relationships. There's also more variety of creatures that made me more interested.

The foxes' brotherhood and mountain gods' friendship is so fun and emotional, it touched me. Also, everyone's teamwork as comrades fighting for their freedom and independence during the monstrous time of Japanese colonization was powerful and commending 👏

Just my random thought... It's probably the first time I saw a kissing scene in a kdrama without background music playing. And it wasn't just a slowmo peck, they were smooching in natural phase. At first I thought it's kinda awkward, but I like how their first kiss is realistic and still full of emotions without using dramatic effects.

Title Once in a Summer Spoiler
I thought this movie was just a cute summer countryside love story but it got dark and I was crying in the last…
I already felt off how the guy immediately brought the girl in his campus even though it's obviously dangerous with the protest and he left her alone. You already convinced the girl to come with you in the city and you should have brought her in your home once you arrived and nothing bad would happen! I blame everything to him. And his betrayal was so unacceptable! I can't believe how the girl just accepted his lies, defended him and took the fall for his accusations. Even when she got out of prison, they still smiled at each other and got together as if nothing happened. I also felt off with the girl and it was obvious that she was just pretending. I thought she was going to k*ll herself after meeting him again. But she stayed alive and left him and never met him again for the rest of her life. It was a huge trauma and scar for her. I feel so bad for her. It's really sad.
On Summer, Whispers Jul 11, 2023
I didn't really enjoy this movie since it's kinda boring, but I still like how it's basically about cat, books, plants all in the relaxing summer.
On The Boy From Ipanema Jul 10, 2023
I love this movie. It's my type of movie that feels like it's hypnotizing me. It's a slowpace quiet movie with more monologue and focuses on the vibes. It's strange and melancholic. The ambiance, lines, music, animation made this movie dreamy that really fascinated me. Honestly, some scenes gave me goosebumps and made me feel something as if any second my tears would fall. The characters really pulled me in with their relationship. I love how they both started off like introverts (quiet and shy) and even when they got closer, they have that fluttery first love feelings. They're innocent but also have tension with each other. All their silence, little glances and gestures together made my heart skipped a beat. And I always have a huge crush on mysterious boys in any movies and the boy in this movie is particularly unique.

I didn't fully understand the plot. I had this movie on my watchlist since months ago so I forgot the synopsis. While watching, I thought their present and future are being interwined (showed in parallels) with the same girl. I also started believing that it's a fantasy because of the "dreams" (and that's still my own interpretation). But it's already straight to the point from the synopsis, it's actually a simple plot about a boy who couldn't move on from his past relationship and meeting a new girl with uncertainty. The ending is still confusing, if what happened to the boy is the truth from their own magical world or it's a symbolism of their real world.

Overall, this movie is not simple. It's poetic and deep, makes you wonder and want more. I just love everything about this movie and how it made me feel. It's my new favorite and I would watch it again.

On Lee Jae Wook Jul 6, 2023

He is so hot and it's effortless. Lee Jaewook is not even my ideal type but I still always get attracted to him when I watch his dramas. There's a lot of attractive actors but his vibes is just different.
On Black Knight Jul 5, 2023
Title Black Knight
It's so weird how kdrama fans always complains about "Netflix" original kdramas for being different from typical kdramas and call it westernized— that honestly feels xenophobic. Why are you limiting them, when this is literally the point of "any" OTT platforms with more freedom and that goes against from the restrictions for TV broadcasting. I actually love it since they're exploring more genres and making new plots for kdramas especially apocalypse stuffs that I'm a fan of.

I enjoyed this drama. Their post apocalyptic and dystopian setting made me so interested. Their concept of "knights" is so unique and cool. I was especially hooked while watching their training/competition. Even though it only has 6 episodes, I was satisfied with it and the ending. Like, this feels more like a movie but I'm glad it's a series.

so u haven't watched river where the moon rises, the tale of nokdu, while u were sleeping, and page turner then.…
Her character in Let's Fight Ghost is actually considered as badass too, she has a cute bubbly personality but she's also feisty and fought with other ghosts. She knows to fight since she's a former taekwondo player.

You already mentioned her other dramas and I'll add Reset (2014). Her character is a rebelious highschool delinquent and she flying kicked an adult man in the beginning lol.
On My Lovely Liar Jul 5, 2023
Gotta be honest, I love the second character poster of Mok Solhee that I prefer it to be the main poster. She's sitting in a dark room with mysterious vibes and mystical set 🔮⭐ ️It highlights that she has a supernatural ability and she uses it as a business for being a liar hunter. (https://twitter.com/CJnDrama/status/1673828556026126336?t=TgaTMEpH2-n8b-6ZNrWPcA&s=19)

I'm actually more interested in the supernatural part of this drama with the female lead, but I understand that it's also a romcom.

Wait, you taught yourself an Asian language via the internet? That's impressive. Did you already know an Asian…
I've been watching Kdramas for a long time. I'm not saying I'm fluent with the language, but I know how to write and read the Korean alphabet. It's actually easy and not hard compared to Chinese alphabet with many strokes and complex structures.

This movie showed the creation of Korean alphabet and the King purposely made it easy so everyone can learn it easily.
On My Lovely Liar Jun 14, 2023
The new poster looks so soft and sweet. I like the simple yet soothing vibes. Someone on Twitter said: "Doha attempts to conceal the truth by picking up a “Lie” card but SolHee gently grabs his wrist to stop him, as if letting him know it’s no use trying to lie to her." and that's amazing.

I'm surprised with all the updates since there's still more than a month for the drama's release date. It's fast. But I think this poster is still a teaser and not the main one though.
On Kim So Hyun Jun 12, 2023
Person Kim So Hyun
Can't believe Sohyun's hiatus took 2 years. She's been inactive after her last drama and 2022 was literally the most quiet year she had. But I'm so happy that she's finally back and her new drama "My Lovely Liar" is airing next month. I've noticed that her fans has been decreasing, but I hope after this drama, she'll gain more fans and popularity again.

She also has her second new drama "Is It Fate?" but the release date is still unconfirmed, my guess is probably at the end of the year. I'm looking forward to see more of Sohyun this year 🎉
