Actually, the reason why Kangmin left Solhee is because he had a cancer and that's why she detected his lie about marrying her later. He knew he didn't have time left and if he answered Solhee that he loves her, he might give her false hope and only hurt her more.

I don't think he intended to break up with her and he was just prioritizing his treatment. But Solhee broke up with him since she couldn't stand him lying and he accepted it. It was just a misunderstanding since he didn't tell her the truth in the first place.

About the second leads...

I'm highly disappointed in Syaon. I gave her a pass in ep 1-2 since she just have a cutesy personality and seems childish with her one sided crush (I also thought since they're friends, she knew about Doha's situation but she doesn't), and now she got worse and crossed the line. She keeps bringing trouble to Doha, triggered his trauma and even pulled the "iwkmy" threat. She's manipulative and creepy. She might not realized some of it, but I hope that's the end of her wrong doings and learn to move on.

My heart actually skipped for Kangmin, he's a sweet and calm guy. I like young couples who gets married early, but it's unfortunate for them. Solhee didn't know the whole truth and misunderstood his intentions when they broke up. He seems cool and respects Solhee after what she said to him with Doha, so I'm not that worried for the love triangle. But then, he's a police and getting involved with Doha's case so we might see him being protective for Solhee, and he still didn't told her the real reason why he left. We'll see how it goes.

It's my first time hating on a drama and this drama has the worse characters ever. At first, I was okay with the FL and ML together, but over time they became annoying and shameless that I couldn't stand their relationship anymore. I feel so bad for the innocent SML who was targeted wrongly and got his life ruined. He was falsely sued, went to jail, lost his business, his wedding was cancelled and his woman was stolen by the guy who caused all his misfortune. Unbelievable. I wanted him to get a proper revenge but at the end, he just accepted it. The only good thing is he beat the ML several times. The ML is evil, what he did is unforgivable and he deserves to get his life ruined too. But it was romanticized. F*ck the cringe romcom, this could have been an intense makjang I would root for.

Wow that's impressive. I'm happy for the cast. At first, I was worried since it's not distributed on Netflix so it might not get wider reach, but I'm glad it's doing well internationally. This drama is so good and I'm really enjoying it. It balances the romance, supernatural, comedy and mystery well. The main characters are likeable. The liar hunter FL is interesting and the reclusive ML is intriguing. I love their interactions and chemistry even though it's not fully a romance yet. I'm looking forward to how the plot will unfold.

Wow I'm really in love with Kim Sohyun's character and it's already my top favorites along with Go Eunbyul and Kim Hyunji. Aside from Mok Solhee's special ability as a liar hunter, I love how she's mature and calm, but can also be cute and fun. She's confident but we also see her vulnerable side and mistakes. She's a balanced character.

I also love the interactions between Solhee and Doha. They got the right vibes. They're just comfortable and natural with each other. It's so heartwarming how they continuously care and protect each other even in subtle ways. They're not even a couple yet but they're playing bf-gf in various times lol. They're sooo cute! And they don't like each other romantically yet, but their amazing chemistry is already there.

Doha already cleared his case but he's still feeling guilty. I also think his PTSD makes him unstable and it distorted his reality. He believes it's all his fault, that Solhee detected what he said as a lie. But Solhee's ability can also be unstable depending on the situation. It's getting more intriguing...

It's not the same situation. Love Alarm is a preproduced drama she had in 2018 then she had Tale of Nokdu that aired around the end of 2019. She had no dramas in 2020 but she was filming her 2 dramas which aired in early 2021. If you've followed her career, she's always been active one after another drama, but she became quiet after RWTMR and it took her more than a year to get a new project. It's literally a hiatus. She had breaks before but this is a hiatus which is longer and her fans understood it. They just missed her so much.

Edit: I'm specifically talking about Sohyun's case and NOT about others. They are irrelevant to her and they also do movies/cfs/variety shows while Sohyun solely focuses on dramas. Her 2 year hiatus was uncommon for her. No one is forcing her to work, her fans knew she deserved to rest well after what she went through in RWTMR, but there was just no updates about her for a long time that they were also worried for her. You keep deflecting the topic just because you refused to believe she had a "hiatus" lol 😂

She did have a hiatus though. She has 2 dramas in early 2021 since she didn't have a drama in 2020 and Love Alarm 2 was just a 6 episode sequel. She was literally inactive after RWTMR and only have few activities then nothing in 2022, which was the quietest time of her career and her fans were suffering from drought 😂

Edit: Sohyun just said it's the first time she had a new project after 2 years. Her fans who has followed her and HERSELF knew she had a hiatus for the first time in her career. But you still keep denying it and making it about other things. Is it that hard to just accept that fact LOL.

Also, the antagonist is a piece of sh*t. He's creepy but corny that he feels like those cartoon supervillain who try hard to get attention. I know this is political so it's gonna be too dramatic, but it's just ridiculous how much power he has around the world that the King and Royalty couldn't even take him down despite his confessions and evidences he send himself to them. He's literally making a puppet of governments and corporations in 200 countries. It's so UNBELIEVABLE and DUMB. I couldn't stand it.

It's interesting to see a modern royalty kdrama and this one is particularly unique since it's fictional about the ties between South and North.

I literally hated the male lead that I considered him the most annoying and worst ML in a kdrama. I was so frustrated of him especially in episode 4 that I wanted the FL to slap him so hard to move his brain and have senses and be normal. But fortunately, he had a character development. He became mature and responsible as a King.

Meanwhile, this drama has the best and unique female lead ever! Indeed a Queen. She has the perfect balance. I really love how she portrays both the masculine and feminine traits. She's strong and sweet. She's fearless and vulnerable. She's badass but it's not forced and she's girly but it's not cringe. We've seen all her sides and challenges. She's so real and natural.

I feel like this is going to be on Netflix since it only has 8 episodes, it's pre-produced and taking a long time for the release date. But it wasn't announced as a Netflix original and it's just a TVN drama. But I hope it's distributed on Netflix so it gets a wider reach.

I'm so happy that Sohyun is having 3 new dramas after her hiatus since 2021. But I'm not that interested in "Is It Fate?" since it sounds like a cliché first love romcom. I'm loving "My Lovely Liar" so far with her special role as a liar hunter who runs a business. And "Good Boy" seems the best one with high quality plot, writer, director. It's a youth action crime drama and she'll have an athlete turned police role.

Kim Sohyun is a great actress but because of "Love Alarm", people hated her and it overshadowed her talent. She was impressive in her last drama "River Where the Moon Rises" but it's a historical drama so it's not that known to most kdrama fans. I hope through "My Lovely Liar" and "Good Boy", she'll gain more recognition and love again.

For this, I'm glad Sohyun will be working with A-list actors, especially with Park Bogum which is highly anticipated and long awaited since 2015. They have a nice chemistry while hosting together and made an iconic moment at KBS Drama Awards. This drama seems like a non-romance one but I'm still so excited to see them two finally acting together.

Kim Sohyun was stellar in Missing You and Who Are You: School 2015. But Radio Romance and Love Alarm made her go downhill sadly.

She mostly had historical dramas but Tale of Nokdu was character driven/male-centered. She was impressive in River Where the Moon Rises but it had a controversy and forced change to the script. My Lovely Liar is pretty interesting so far. And Good Boy might be the best one she'll have compared to her past dramas since 2017. The writer and director have great works so I have good expectations for it.

I actually like that it's 24 episodes long. BU/HYYH has been going on for 5 years (music videos, short films, webtoon, books) and there's a lot of things that happened especially due to the time loops. They're going to cover everything including ones that weren't clear, add the missing pieces and other stuffs. There's 7 main characters, so they'll also show all their background stories.

If I'm going to be honest, I don't like that she got Love Alarm. It's the most hated drama of her which made me sad. People (mostly new kdrama fans who knew LA because of Netflix trend) thought of Sohyun as a bad actress because they didn't like her Jojo character and it's annoying that some of them still hate her just because of their "LA trauma" 😑 Even though she's a renowned talented actress since she was young with her rise in "Moon Embracing the Sun" and breakthrough lead role in "Who Are You: School 2015". Sorry but sometimes, I wish she didn't starred in Love Alarm and picked another drama instead back then.

Anyways, her current drama "My Lovely Liar" with her Mok Solhee character is fun and unique. She finally have a decent adult role in modern drama. And just today, she has a new casting news - "Good Boy", a youth action genre with an athlete turned police role. I was literally celebrating of joy. I hope she accepts it and gain a new momentum as an actress. She deserves high quality projects with excellent writers/directors and remarkable roles.

The other replies already has the point but I'll add... They first met at the bus and the FL saved the ML. The ML was impressed by her bravery and compassion of defending and trusting him, that it left a deep impression on him and still remembers her. From their first meeting to interactions as neighbors, the ML has a good view to the FL but he obviously doesn't like or think romantically of her as of now.

It's not a forced love line. Their past connection built their characters to have trust on each other which is the purpose of this drama. They're currently just neighbors and it seems like their romantic relationship is not going to be fast, once they get close they'll probably still work more as a team since ML has a case and the liar hunter FL will help him. It's not just about meet, talk and fall in love. This is a mystery genre so the past connection and timeline skip is normal, it's related to ML's case. It's a decent development.

I understand viewers don't like how the FL removed the ML's masks while he's drunk since it's an invasion of privacy. It's disrespectful and even made me uncomfortable. But in the good side, it's the first step for him to overcome his trauma. It's also a sign that the FL is the one who's going to help the ML literally remove his mask (stop hiding his self) and heal his wounds (after the truth is revealed).

PS. The ML knows the FL and she already saw his face when they first met, so he's probably not going to get mad or panicked unlike to other people.

OH MY GOSH KIM SO HYUN WILL BE THE FEMALE LEAD (positively considering). I'm sooo happy! Sohyun and Bogum worked before as MCs in 2015 KBS Drama Awards and they had an iconic moment of reenacting their roles together. Everyone wanted them to be in a drama ever since. We've been waiting for so long and it's finally happening now! I'm so excited for this 😆

Plus, if Sohyun accepts this drama, we'll see another side of her in an adult role and new genre. It would be so great of her to act as an athlete and police.

Well in my opinion, I didn't really find her annoying. She wasn't that clingy since she didn't force the ML and just left him after. She also declined the rumors. She didn't guilt trip him when he didn't came to the events and she's understanding of his situation. Her, ML, CEO are friends and have been colleagues before they became popular, that's why they're close and comfortable with each other. She's more of having a delusional crush in a childish way, but not the obsessive b*tch that's serious.

And in the next week episode, it seems like she's going to have a love line with the FL's bodyguard so I don't think she's going to intervene the main couple. Hopefully it'll be like that.

This drama is so enjoyable and the concept is amazing. The female lead has a unique "lie detector" supernatural ability and created her own business as a tarot café owner/liar hunter who exposes people and their lies. It's so cool and fun to see her with different clients. I like how her business tactics changed and improved through the years. She started it in highschool for the easy money until it became a huge success that she even owns gold bars. She's so real, daring and smart. Go independent queen!

I'm so glad Kim Sohyun finally have this kind of role (fantasy is my favorite genre too). At first, I thought her ability is like mind reading, but it's not. She literally has a lie detector in her head/ears. She doesn't hear what other people say, but she can distinguish the sounds of lie and truth and easily makes conclusion from it. And I thought Doha is immune from her power since it "doesn't work" on him, but he's actually not. I was confused at first but someone else commented it, Solhee's ability/job is to detect lies but Doha doesn't lie and always tells the truth, that's why he's a special case.

I love the first two episodes and the main characters! It's rare to see a shy introverted male lead. In this drama, he has a social anxiety so he's reclusive and always hides his appearance. And it's so interesting to see a female lead with a unique supernatural ability that can detect lies and truth. She's confident but still calm and mature. A gentle guy who shuts himself from the world and a cool girl who wants to expose the world, who are both successful on their own careers. Mok Solhee and Kim Doha are such a good pairing and I can't wait to see the next episodes for more of their interactions.

PS. There's still no romance yet, but I already love their straightforward and fun chemistry. Their similar interest for soccer but being fans of rival teams is especially amusing.
