In my opinion, I don't find the SML annoying and the CEO suspicious. The CEO is an easygoing guy and just a close friend of Doha who knows his past and helps him hide his identity (making the alibi part normal). Before the drama aired, it's already been revealed in his character description that Kangmin had a cancer. That's why I feel soft for him. I understand that he wants to meet Solhee again after he was cured. Even though Solhee told him she has a new bf, he's still seeing her since he miss her. But he's not making a move on her and he's focusing more on his job as a police. He seems nice and chill. I'm not worried of him intervening the main couple. But later, he might get involved with Doha's murder case and he still has to give closure for Solhee about the real reason why he left her.
The main threat in this drama is the brother of Doha's ex. He's extremely desperate and crazy. He reminds me of those thirsty monsters in "Bulgasal" who keeps chasing on their target. I can already sense the mystery part of this drama will become frustrating because of him and I hope Doha won't suffer that much.
Edit: So it looks like Kangmin is starting his move soon after he finds out Solhee lied about her new bf and she's not dating. Solhee and Doha are still not in an official relationship, but they're strong and consistent so the love triangle won't bother me.
Wow it's about a fairy! I like fantasy creatures and kdramas has a lot of it, but there's no fairies. The only drama I know is "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter" and I'm interested for this new one.
Their little highschool backstory in episode 1 got me blushing and screaming so hard. That "you liked it too" line was so hot, it made me lose my mind.
But then I cried so hard for the rest of all the episodes. I can't just take it all 🎶
Overall, "Our Blues" is a wonderful and deeply emotional drama that touched my heart and made me feel like I was living with all the characters and their different lives. This drama made me realize how precious life is and I'm grateful that I've watched it. Truly a masterpiece.
I think Kim Sohyun's best partner character-wise is with Hwang Minhyun. Mok Solhee and Kim Doha are special for each other. I like how the female lead is a confident woman who takes the initiatives while the male lead is a gentle man who balances the line. They're both calm and straightforward that's why they feel natural together since they first met. Despite Doha hiding his identity, they're comfortable together and it's heartwarming how they always care and protect each other through various situations. They didn't instantly like each other, but gradually became friends who learn more about each other.
It's exciting to see them getting closer, seeing each other's flaws and understanding each other. It's unexpected how fast the plot unfolds, but I like the development of their relationship so far. It's good that they have less misunderstandings and easily make up with each other. Doha finally took off his mask with the help of Solhee's encouragement and reassurance. It's realistic that he's not all okay immediately, but I'm glad he's trying to improve. And with Solhee's revelation about her ability, I wonder how it'll turn out. Hopefully, Doha will also be more open to her and we might see them working together for his murder case. Can't wait for the next episodes!
What?! He's born in 2001? I first saw Kim Jaewon in "Fall for You" and I thought he was in his 30s (I misunderstood something), and I just didn't like his looks and vibes. But I watched "Our Blues" and I was captured by his character as the highschool counterpart/first love which made me interested in him. Now I realized he's actually attractive.
I first saw Bae Hyunsung in "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" as the intern who barely had lines and just in the background, but I still keep noticing him and thought about what it's like to be a small actor... But now I've seen him in "Our Blues" and I'm glad he got the main role and I really love his character. I feel proud that he's rising and getting more projects. I'm wishing him all the best~
PS. He's also a pretty boy with gentle and calm vibes, he's my type.
So impressed with Kim Sohyun's acting in episode 6 where she confronted her crazy mom. Solhee has a calm yet bright personality, but she finally snapped and set free the anger and pain she bottled up towards her mom. Sohyun nailed that intense and emotional scene.
Their tennis roleplay was fun though. It's interesting how they pretended not to know each other and got competitive with the game. But how exhausting it is for Solhee to expose and scold her mom again and again.
yeah considering he was so strict about having to wear it the first 5 episodes. It was just so sudden, "hey, I'm…
Lol did you guys not see that he still gets so anxious and cautious of everything. He's still not fully okay. He only took the mask off after it caused trouble to his company due to him being a hidden celebrity and he had to clear the misunderstanding. And Solhee keeps reassuring him that other people didn't care that much.
Even in previous episode, he revealed his face without realizing it. He can do it because of Solhee. They've gotten close and he's comfortable with her. (In the first place, he already knew Solhee and she've seen his face before he started hiding it.)
Her power works on him so why in the synopsis, it says her powers don't work on him?
Solhee's ability and job is to detect lies, but it doesn't work on Doha since he doesn't lie. That's why he's a special case for her. But after they got close and he lied for the first time, she realized her ability works on him and it's just that he always tells the truth.
It's ironic how Solhee and her mom have almost similar job of acting certain roles to different people, but with completely opposite purpose. Her mom is lying and scamming people, while Solhee is detecting lies and exposing people.
I feel bad for Solhee to have a shameless greedy mom. Her mom doesn't even realize that her family's misfortune is because of her in the first place. She's the one who has a dirty job but she's blaming it to her ex-husband and Solhee who actually just revealed her crimes as early as possible. She deserves to get divorced and imprisoned. That's her punishment.
She's also the reason why Solhee gained her supernatural ability. While she's pregnant, she desperately prayed to different gods to give her daughter a talent that doesn't require money to invest in (I find it funny at first but it's actually sad). And now she thinks Solhee gets easy money and living a good life, but her power is also a curse for her that makes her suffer with other people.
I hope she stops guilt tripping Solhee and Solhee gets the courage to cut ties with her so-called-mom.
My Liberation Notes is such a great and valuable drama. It's calming, sentimental and reflective about people and life that deeply moved my heart. This drama is so realistic and natural that I was immersed by their daily lives. The cinematography, music and vibes are really mesmerizing which gave a magical touch to this drama.
It's so rare to have introvert/quiet/shy/reserved/reclusive main characters in kdramas. I'm so glad a female lead like Yeom Mi Jung exists. Just in the first episode, I was already in tears because of her. It's so comforting to see her perspectives and growth.
Also, this drama has the kind of couple that I love - lonely souls who found each other and formed a special bond that gave a new meaning to their lives. And they're both introverted/quiet couple. Even without words, their glances, actions, presence are enough to understand and feel each other. They have peace together.
My other favorite thing is the "leftovers" who are actually just introverts, who made their own "Liberation Club" that feels more like a therapy. People who are on their own pace and opening up to each other. I wish there were more scenes about them.
Idk what happened in her family and what fl did, but it sure not deserve the mom acting like a b*tch
It's been revealed in last week's episode when Solhee was a kid and a woman who her mom scammed came to get her money back but instead, Solhee let her in their house and all her mom's money was stolen. They got broke and her parents probably separated after it.
That's why Solhee feels guilty and keeps giving money to her mom (even though it's her mom's fault for being a scammer since the start).
I don't think you understand what a filler episode is. Some things that happened:- Sol-hee learned more about…
Glad you listed it all. Lol OP probably thought it was filler since there was no romantic scenes and it has the lowest interactions between the leads. Episode 5 focuses more on Doha's case especially as public figure being a producer.
He does but he's already cured (I hope till the end of the drama lol) and I agree with you he should stop doing…
Before the drama aired, it's already been revealed in Kangmin's character description/profile that he had a cancer which is the reason why he left. But he's now treated.
Should the ML be worried about that second FL. Her mind doesn't seem to be all there lolI do like her though
I'm fine with her at first but after she faked her injury and used *s, she got worse which made me dislike her. The ML cares for her but he always sets his boundaries from her, and after the beach scene the SFL caused, separating her to another car might finally be a realization to her.
So this is a romcom with a murder mystery side plot, right?
It's more of supernatural mystery than just a romcom. The plot is focusing more on the FL's ability and ML's case. The murder mystery is the main part of the drama from the get-go and the synopsis already says it, it's not just a side plot.
It's convincing that Doha is innocent and he just feels guilty and traumatized, which makes him believe the truth is a lie on his reality that it altered Solhee's detector... But what if the twist is true? I have a tiny feeling that Doha is really lying and Solhee's detector is accurate. But her conclusion is the one not accurate. Her ability can only distinguish the sounds between lie and truth, then she make speculations through it, but she doesn't know the whole story so that's where she can be wrong. I think it depends on how she interprets the lie/truth and acts to it from different people.
During that dinner date case, she's right about the man lying but she's wrong about the reason why he's lying. Similar with her ex. It's eventually becoming an eye opener for her. I'm so curious how she'll react to Doha!
PS. I honestly didn't like the title, but "My Lovely Liar" kinda makes sense now?
I AGREE!!! I also sometime do wish to remove Love Alarm in Sohyun's filmography. She's proven to be a promising…
She was never a bad actress but many people just perceived her badly because of Love Alarm which was the weak point of her filmography 💔
I actually had high expectations for RWTMR and she was great with her badass queen role. But it's unfortunate that the controversy ruined the drama and made her suffer. Still, I'm glad she got nominated as Best Actress at Baeksang for her performance which she deserves.
It's nice that her comeback drama "My Lovely Liar" is currently doing well and receiving a lot of love. I'm happy that she's also enjoying while filming. Wishing her all the best for her upcoming dramas 💪
