Title R-Point
I finally remember this movie that I've watched on TV back when I was a kid. I even mistook it for another movie but this is it. I remember about soldiers going on a deserted place, a huge building in the middle of the field that is haunted and there's also a lady in white dress. I re-watched it again without knowing the plot but I remember some familiar scenes. It's a good horror movie, not too scary but creepy.

Title Children...
I've heard about the Frog Boys case before but I don't know much about it. I'm not sure if the characters of the producer and professor who made conspiracy are just fictional or existed for real, but this movie feels so wrong because of them. This movie is based on real life so I can't imagine how the parents felt while watching this. It's such a huge insult to them being portrayed like that (or were they treated like that in reality too?) What happened to their kids is such a tragic mystery.

Title Suga: Road to D-Day Spoiler
I'm so emotional and comforted after watching this documentary about Yoongi's individual music journey and know…
I'm sharing this long thread of Yoongi's deep thoughts about how he have come so far. He has always been an incredible artist and honest person since the beginning, breaking away from prejudice and standing strongly along with BTS members. I respect him more and more. Indeed a true inspiration.

(1) “I’ve grown up quicker than others. But I didn’t want to grow up. What I wanted was to keep dreaming. I used to tell the BTS members, “You become an adult the moment you stop dreaming.” I used to say that. And I don’t have any dreams now. Now I ask myself, “What do I need to dream of?” We did what we wanted and what we had to do to get here, and in 2018, I was told that I’d been chosen to represent this generation. I never thought of it that way. I never thought, “Hey, I’m Asian. So I’m going to head over to America and top the Billboard chart for my fellow Asians.” What should I do? I’ve run out of stories to tell, but I have to tell one.”

(2) “They are pop stars. They are pop stars that we all saw when we were growing up, they’re people just like us. I’m aware that some people don’t like us. I mean, we’re a boy band. Some of the things that we’ve done might not mean as much to them. Despite the fact that we’re putting out a lot of work. But the pop stars were among the ones who understood us and saw us for who we are, and paid no attention to all the hate. They treated us as human beings. We may not speak the same language, but we get each other.”

(3) “This is the story of my life, you know. Before I reached the age of 20, I’d already had a lot of things going on in my life. I really want to talk about how I got the scar over my eye in this song. In a way, we’re responsible for all our own wounds and scars. No one can dodge the first arrow of trouble, of course, but when that second arrow flies at you, you’ve chosen to just stand there and get hit, rather than learn from the first time. That’s what I wanted to talk about when I was writing "AMYGDALA." So... That’s the message I’m trying to get across.”

(4) “I haven’t been on the internet lately. It’s so easy for people to access all sorts of information. That’s what D-Day actually means: the day we free ourselves from information. “I need to be better than him. I need to be better than her.” That’s just so exhausting. And excruciating. That’s what’s been driving me since I first started making music. But it’s so tiring now. The day that we liberate ourselves from these negative thoughts, that’s the starting point for this album. Because over the past two years, my life has been full of noise. Full of good things, and full of noise. And I didn’t want the noise controlling me. In the hook... We think about making it big, making money, buying watches and nice cars and everything, but none of those things are what makes your life fun. You might say, “Hey, you made it big, that’s why you can say that.” Yes, that’s why I can tell you that they’re not the fun part. But when I meet up with people and make music, that’s fun. It makes me completely focused for 12, 13 hours, and only stop to eat. How many things can make you do that? That’s happiness. I’m so fed up with music that I think about quitting hundreds of times a day. But then, when we meet up, I can work 12, 13 hours a day. That’s how fun this can be. Making music can be so much fun. But why does it have to be work? It’s been so painful for me to make music lately. Collaborations are painful too. You might ask why I’m doing this. I’m doing this because... I don’t want the BTS fans or my fans to feel bored.”

(5) “The thing about idols... is that we don’t have to commit a crime or do something that’s controversial for people to blow little things out of proportion and judge us. I could never understand the mentality of those people. I mean, I’ve never caused trouble, but... So...You know, well... Like when an idol smokes a cigarette in a music video, these kinds of things... Say I get criticized for these things at the age of 31. I strongly believe it’s a social phenomenon that we need to think about. I wanted to unlock what is forbidden to us. And since a world of information is just a click away from us now, even I stopped bringing my imagination and my thoughts into action. So this is my message: “Let’s free ourselves from these things.” Thanks to all the brilliant technology we have, we can now easily find out what’s happening around the world. But I strongly feel that this is the reason why some things in our lives are actually forbidden to us. It’s okay to care less about what others think. You should be able to do what you want.”

I'm so emotional and comforted after watching this documentary about Yoongi's individual music journey and know more of his worldview as he enters his 30s. Yoongi, thank you as always 💜

I cried when Yoongi met his childhood inspiration, Ryuichi Sakamoto (RIP) and how he also wants to keep making music until he grows old. I especially cried so hard at the end even after the credits was rolling. Yoongi's ending monologue really hit me since that's exactly how I've been feeling and even more now that I'm turning 20 next month.

“What do you think are the chances of a totally controllable future arriving? There’s a high chance that the future you dreaded never happens. This is the story I wanted to share with you. People always worry about the uncertainty of the future. They fear it. And they’re distressed over the past that they can’t change. But the only thing you can control is the present. I want to share stories that focus on the present. The past is the past, the present is the present, the future is the future. Put too much meaning into them and they will torment you. I condense the millions of thoughts inside my head and turn them into lyrics. I don’t have any complaints with what I’ve done so far. It’s up to the listeners to judge my work, and only time will tell.”

Title Begins Youth
so they finished filming? then why it's taking so long :( Is there a chance that after all that filming they won't…
I know, but the target audience of this drama is still ARMYs since it's an adaptation of BTS Universe and I think they're finding the right time to release it.

BTS' group hiatus is 2023-2024 while each members are releasing their solo albums so fast after another (only 2 left) and they're gonna enlist soon (2 already did). Also, BTS said themselves they will reunite again as a group in 2025 (not specifically a music comeback but where all members might have already finished enlisting).

My own speculation is, maybe they will release this drama during BTS' enlistment era where all the members are in military so at the end of 2023 or 2024. Like, this drama will be something for ARMYs to keep up with when the members aren't releasing music. I might be wrong, but I'm sure they will release this drama someday (my patience is running out though lol).
On All about Lily Chou Chou Apr 24, 2023
All About Lily Chou Chou is my lifetime movie. It perfectly depicted my life. Except for the crimes, I felt like I was one of the characters while watching this movie... How I changed as a teenager entering a dark alien world and how music is my only salvation that gave me light. Everyone has their own "Lily Chou Chou" who are special to them. An artist who brings connection to different kinds of people through their music as a form of sanctuary and with the internet as a tool to express anyone's feelings and stories. The teenagers who couldn't rely on the adults as they experience growing pains, fight against their internal struggles and survive in their new environment. So instead, they find comfort in the music of the artist who they thought could understand them better than anyone else and stay in their utopian space where they could feel peace and free from their problems.

This movie is depressing yet comforting, showing the dark reality and escapism of teenagers to the "ether", without an idea or realizing who they communicate with since everyone is united by their solely loved artist. Strangers who are truthfully forming their bond with the power of music that impacted them in their own ways. How things unfolded and crashed due to the unknown yet close barrier between the internet and real life.

All About Lily Chou Chou is a safe place for people who are lost and finding their voices through music. This movie is ahead of its time and still relevant to this day. I watched this movie back in 2019 for only once, but it felt like a million times since it marked deeply in me. Like a vivid, terror yet tranquil dream.
On Starry Starry Night Apr 24, 2023
Starry Starry Night is my number 1 favorite movie since I was 10 years old. This movie will always stay special in my heart ⛧

How I discovered this movie: Back in 2014, I saw a post from an anime facebook fanpage about CJ7 and how the child actor is actually a girl and she's a cosplayer. I got curious so I searched her on Google and that's how I found this movie. The photos and trailer instantly grabbed my interest. But back then, there was no English subtitles. I watched this movie in dailymotion with Spanish subtitles and cut into parts. Even though I didn't understand this movie and I misinterpreted some parts, this was still special to me since it spoke through my heart. I love this movie since I could relate to the girl and I also dreamed of being friends with a new kid/transferree and have an adventure/runaway. They added magic to it and I was fascinated with this movie. The characters, storytelling, visuals and music were like a beautiful dream world to me.

There was even a time when I told my aunt and sister about the whole story of this movie. We were sleeping together in the bed at night and it was dark but I was talking while we were still awake.

It was around 2016 when I finally watched this movie with English subtitles in kissasian. That's when I understood the plot and what happened to the boy. Before, I thought the puzzle scene means they encountered a strange spell that made the boy's existence vanished in exchange to the girl's dead grandfather. That was my interpretation back then lol. But I'm glad I was wrong and I find the ending even more meaningful.

Overall, I'm so attached to this movie. I watched Starry Starry Night many times and it became more special to me as I grow up. I'm so grateful for this precious movie.

For money, the Koreans are now catering to the US market, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc. Americans were getting tired…
Actually, seasons has already been a thing in Kdramas and it's usually from cable stations like OCN and JTBC.

It's just a common tactic for OTT platforms to split the dramas into 2 seasons to gain more popularity. It's not just Netflix, even their domestic OTT platforms like TVING is doing it for marketing and to gain more subscribers. Unlike American dramas, these seasonal Kdramas produced by OTT platforms are not actual new seasons but just being split into 2 seasons with only 6-10 episodes, when originally they are 16-20 episodes long (like the standard Kdramas from TV stations).

That's the price to pay for KDramas becoming popular in the Western market. I hate it. I loved KDrama because…

After the rise of OTT platforms like Netflix (and domestic ones like TVING), their original produced Kdramas are becoming seasonal. And honestly these seasonal Kdramas aren't even real new seasons. Standard TV Kdramas commonly have 16-20 episodes while OTT platforms only have 6-10 episodes and they're just splitting the Kdramas into 2 seasons (hence all those cliffhanger endings).
On Duty after School: Part 2 Apr 22, 2023
I already know that the villain will appear in part 2 but this is still so shocking to me... I cried so much out of rage. I got attached to the characters and I was rooting for them to survive or at least continue helping each other. They gradually adapted to their new environment, maturing and being independent while working together as a team. I was happy seeing their friendship growing closer and how they opened their eyes to their life after the apocalypse hit them.

Despite the tragic ending, I still like this drama. I watched this initially for the alien genre, but it wasn't really about the aliens/spheres. Duty After School focuses on the teenagers/students' state and growth after the f*cking adults deceived and used them as a tool for war. They were forced to throw away their youth. From the beginning, they were wronged and became traumatized, but it will get worse as there's also someone who's going to be insane and explode. F*ck him too. It's frightening how things turned out... But this is the outcome of the government's selfish and inhumane decision for putting the kids on military that affected them mentally and causing them their lives.

Do you know any upcoming dramas with similar vibe? I think I already watched everything regarding zombies & company…
Here I made a list with this kind of kdramas - https://kisskh.at/list/3rWagnm4

There's "Monstrous" from last year and a new zombie drama "Taereung Zombie Village" (still unreleased).

I'm still annoyed that they split this drama into 2 parts when there's only 4 episodes left!

But I think it's also good. I love how realistic the student characters are in part 1... but in part 2, the villain is finally formed for the dramatic part. I'm just preparing and I hope it won't make me that angry lol.

Idk why there are some people here actively hating on this show The characters were realistic to fault and that's…
Honestly I was surprised when I first read the comments with their hate. Personally, I didn't find the characters annoying (there are some annoying parts but it's clearly understandable). They are just high school teenagers who are carefree and clueless that became scared and traumatized. They are weak learning to be strong. Their reaction and behavior towards an unexpected crisis/alien invasion is realistic. While watching, I felt being in their situation and I could relate to them. That's why I was rooting for them and I'm glad to see their character development and teamwork.

The students' emotions and growth are literally the point of this drama. It's not all about fighting aliens and the main character hero saves the day.

I just want to give a round of applause to the child actors, especially Choi Hyun Jin! They are incredible 👏 They deserve to win best child actor or even best new actor. They should have been nominated in Baeksang. I hope they keep on gaining recognition and have more good projects in the future.

PS. Did he really performed those action scenes? If he did, that makes him even more impressive. He was only 13 years old.

why do you guys ship soyeon and liutenant lee??? it's a teenage girl and a grown ass man have some common sense
whoever is even shipping them. there's no romance, it's just a one sided puppy crush from usual high schooler.

PS. don't even try to make this about gender... it's obviously an issue with older men and no one would care if this was an older woman. and it's only creepy if the adult is pursuing the minor. there is NOTHING problematic in this drama, the lieutenant is clearly not interested in her and only cares for her as a student like with the others.

i dont think ae sol and bo ra's case is bullying. it actually hints that they probably were close in the past…
Actually, ordering someone to buy stuffs is considered bullying if you use your power against the person who's being forced. But I think it wasn't bullying for Bora and Ae Sol. In their first scene in the rooftop, Bora's friend tried to stop her when she was going to get mad at Ae Sol. And during their training, Bora dislike Ae Sol's timidness and thinks she'll be a burden to their team. Bora is mean to Ae Sol (but we also don't know what their full story is.)
On Hello, My Twenties! Season 2 Apr 11, 2023
Ji Won is the best character for me. I personally don't like loud and hyper people but her energetic and straightforward personality still grabbed my attention. I especially love her scenes with her male friend. Their chemistry is perfect and it's so fun to watch them together. They're childish and mature at the same time. They're so natural, comfortable, honest with each other. They clearly like each other, but caring for each other as special friends was enough for them (but there's a preview/hint that shows they became a family 8 years later).
On Hello, My Twenties! Season 2 Apr 11, 2023
I understand that they changed a new actress for Eun Jae since the original actress have schedule conflict while filming for another drama. But I don't like how they also changed Eun Jae's whole character. It's normal to give a character development, but her character has still the same personality of a shy and innocent girl. What changed is that they made her into an annoying and obsessive ex-girlfriend.

I think the writer just made this trope so they can add a new problem for Eun Jae in season 2 since her background story was already solved in season 1. She has to experience her first love and first heartbreak. But their break-up didn't even make sense and just unnecessary. It's a random "losing interest/falling out of love" kind of breakup. They were such a nice, pure, cute couple in season 1 but the writers have to ruin their relationship for the sake of drama.

PS. I also think that they changed Eun Jae's character and added the break-up problem since the actress is new. She won't be able to recreate their original chemistry and so they gave shorter screentime to the actor.
