Yes, we don't know how ML is co-ruling Tanpui and if his brother or the eunuch are Na Zhan's spies/ subordinates.
As for forcing FL, W and NZ are 2 violent characters. I would be suprised if they don't try to coerce FL in a way.

Well I was disapponted by the ending but, yes, ML wasn't vcompletely innocent. Indeed he was the one sent to kill the family, thus he had to pay the price.
To me they should have ended the drama there.
They forced a happy ending by making FL end up with SML, but it appears fake to me. Because I would have understood that she wanted to part ways with the past. And that would be a good open ending for a season 2. But to SML was always a replacement for ML.
First, she always used him. And when ML died , she ditched him coldly. So it shows that she never really loved him.
She only utilized him for her revenge, and that was logical. But forcing a happy ending after 5 years. It seems fake and unlogical.

I honestly thought during all the drama that the heroine would dye at the end.
My only concern was if ML could survive or not.
I was wrong, they killed ML and saved the heroine.

I get your point of view though. I knew it possibly could be SML winning the girl because he has all the romantic scenes.

In my mind there is a possibility that SML ends up kicking out SFL for good in his pursuit of FL.
I also have the feeling that those two won't end well because they are not virtuous characters and they did too many bad deed.

People say there is no remaining questions, and the show should have ended at episode 17?

I think that the show still has to answer those questions in the span of the 9 remaining episodes.

What about the death of ML's father?
What about the death of ML's mother, was it really during childbirth?
How was launched the arrow strike that killed the FL's mother?
What are the collusion and the spy network in Massui and Tanpui?
How will FL take revenge on Na Zhan?
Will FL kill Na Zhan? Will she set a honey trap?
Will FL uncover the truth about her mother's death?
Will FL will succeed in avoiding having sex with Na Zhan?
Will SML finally ditch SFL?
Will SFL retaliate against FL?
Will SML finally force himself onto FL?
Will there be a war ? Who will launch the war?
Will SML and SFL flush out the sleeping spies in Massui?
Will ML and FL end up together?

So many question I am excited about.

I liked the last glare of ML in episode 16. I think he is ready for them all.

She doesn't need to sleep with him because he needs her photographic memory. He will not go too far. He will try to coerce her but I think he will fail.
She dodged him once again in today's episode (18) and she got punished.
This shows that she will not surrender.

I think he will try to force her to comply. But I don't think he will get anything from her. First of all, she is very smart and second of all, he need her approaval so that she genuinly helps him with the "desert scroll".

Yes, Ge Xin Wei is not a match for Huang Bei Shuang. In the intro, we see Ge Xin Wei threatening Huang Bei Shuang with a sword. It seems like it is in Massui court. This makes me think that Bei Shuang will go reclaim the throne or that trash of a woman will try to mark territories using her sword.
I know she will loose at the end. That's crystal clear to me.
Question is, will her trash of a man throw her to the curb before or after?
One way or another, she will deserve it.

True. I hope she keeps beeing witty. I rewatched the scene and once she had pushed ML in the water, she cries, exhales and her glare is more relieved than hateful. So I do think that she is faking it to save ML's life and hers at the same time.
