She wanted to get rid of 3rd sister, but she did not expect 6th sister to take her place and marry Shen Du. She also did not expect (6th sister) Yan Xing to pair up with Shen Du and investigate the case so well.
I remember that she tried to make Shen Du stop the investigation several times in the early episodes. Then she let it be, so my suspicions went to Prince Xian.
