I had the impression, FL would most probably fall for Yuri. GIven how the two interact. I think this would be great if that happens.
Because the story would be very interesting yes. I am not sure Jay-Jay can overturn Yuri's purpose. He might really remain an antagonist.
And this, even if, there is already a serious physical attraction between the leads.

Let's try to understand Yuri.
- First he arrives and starts to bully FL.
- Then he listened to ML's plan to seduce FL and nods.
- Then he seems unhappy to see how Class E bullies FL
- Then he seems to like FL
- Then He hide his liking from ML.

So my theory.
1 ) Yuri is Kieffer's brainless follower. (2.0)
2 ) Yuri pities Jay-Jay. He wants to help her.
3 ) Yuri has a crush on Jay-Jay. He comes in between them.
4) Yuri is secretly in love with Kieffer. He come in between them because he senses that Kieffer is attracted to Jay-Jay. ( highly hypothetical as for now ( episode 4 )

Either way to me SML is david. but let's see.

Unfortunatly yes. As usual 2ML is better then ML. Tha's the game. Even if he is better he cannot get the girl. But I like him more.

That being said. I don't know if Yuri is the 2ML or 3ML because I though David was the 2ML.

You are welcome. Yes this is a classic and to me "secret garden" is also a fairytale. Especially because ML lives in a castle like big house. And they drank a "potion" in an "enchanted forest" making them transmigrate. He is a Prince whom FL comes to save like a knight would do. So to this extent I forgive them the rich man / poor woman trope because it is more of a gender reversal in my views. Why? Based on Fairytale, normally FL should be the rich Princess/woman and ML should be the poor Knight/man. But no. This is a role reversal and I suppose this also was part of the reasons why it became a success.

I like to watch ancient dramas because today, most of the new releases are remakes. And I noticed that the original version is always better

That being said, it is true that Arrogant man/ Sassy Female is a trope and I personally dislile Amnesia tropes.

I watched it for the first time in 2024, and frankly it doesn't age. It was refreshing to see a drama filmed in a real house and not in a studio.
To be honest I liked eveything about it. And I could understand why its elements were copied so much.

This drama is the blue print to all gender swapping drama that came after 2012. So the other dramas copied it. You said : too many tropes, but this drama is the original. They created what became trope because everybody mimicked it later. This is why I take the drama for what it is in his timeline.

It is exactly like "Goblin" which elements was copied again and again by every Kdramas that came after it, with the topic of deity, multiple lives...

Or "boys over flower", the kdrama remake. It is also the blue print of all kdrama after it, that came after 2005 or 6 ( I think after the Japanese original version). After that all kdrama featured "Flower boys" and even to to date.

However, I agree with you the trope rich guy / poor girl. This is a fairytale. They did not come with it.

Frankly, yes you are right not to loose your time on the thai version.
Too bad the thai writers empoverished the characters so badly. At somepoint the characters were not understandable.

Hello, I understand you. I know a lot of people fast-forward dramas. You are not the only one. I know that evreybody have a different level of patience and committment to be able to full experience a drama at its own pacing.
Trust me I know. I just wanted to testify that keeping the pacing normal, I was able to loose patience, feel annoyed, speak before Mi Rae reacts ...
Those experiences made me feel more her akwardness .

As for missing the plot points. I often talk with people who missed certain elements of stories because they fast-forward dramas. They either don't know what I am talking about or they make false statements about the drama because they did not understand the plot due to watching the drama speed x1+.

For instance, lately I call a second male lead : mass murderer and someone reach out to me saying I was wrong. I then explainned to that person that, this Second Male Lead killed civilians whom corpses where on the ground when he entered the city.
This persons then told me that she watched the drama speed x 2.

So I get your point, but I felt compelled to warn you. Because I here such feedback often.
