You are totally right. Both ML & FL were in controlling relationship.
I did not like that SFL bought everyone around ML, even his best friend/ colleague. And continously schemed to have ML back. This was very bad.

I also did not like that SML, being selfish from the start. Once he realized that FL was leaving him. He tried to monitor her and put the blame of the break upon her. Purposefully disregarding that he was controlling her throughout their relationship. I was stunned that, the man didn't want to admit the FL was seeking his permission all along.
And icing on the cake. At the very end SML makes her looking at him abandoning her.
No. Definitely, this character is very toxic.

At the end I was rooting for the main couple to be together before it was too late (FL's wedding) .

FL was in a bad relationship in which she was only following SML's command and she resist cheating on him till the very end.
And ML, yes was a player. But he did not cheat on SFL. They were together for convenience. SFL was tagging alond and she knew ML didn't want her.

The one who try not to cheat is FL. ML was virtually single to me. And both of them were not married. So they could still stop their previous relationship

Out of nowhere, those people are trying to deviate the debate in the rudest way I have ever seen. Their words are definitely a reflexion of them.
I only wish for ZLH and all celebs to be safe and find a way to protect themselves from those stalker fans who can harm them very badly. Polarizing the discussion around bl/gl media is off topics. The main point is stalker fan's prevention.

Being the CEO of a huge company, I had high expectations for FL because she did not seem clueless.

The company is on the brink of collapse. Meaning : the thousands of employees will potentially loose their livelihood.
But FL sticks to her pride and misbelieves and she refuses the helping hand of Fu Yun Lan.
Her fake best friend said :"That fool still takes me for her best friend."
This is really it.

Simply because Fu Yun Lan always double check the information because he as henchmen working for him. So, he might believe sometimes but he is always suspicious and he even tries to deceive his opponent.

On the contrary. FL is the CEO of a corporation but she has no henchmen, no private investigator, no mentor or advisor.
She is a very bad judge of character : she knew she was deceived, cheated on and murdered in her previous life. But she kept around her the same people : her deceiving best friend.
If she was really clever. She would have played a role before everyone from her past life and she would have trusted Fu Yun Lan. Why ?
Because he is not from her past life, and she is the one who went to pick him up at the KTV ( karaoke).
So logically, being someone new to her, Fu Yun Lan wasn't among her lethal enemies.
But no. She trusts people from her past life instead of people who were not guilty of her murder.

This is why I still think that she is foolish.

I watched the kdrama and most of the thai drama ( minus 2 episodes ).
I did not like the thai drama because the screenwriter(s) who adaptated the korean ( oiginal) version empoverished all the characters.
On the korean original version the FL( Mi Rae ) seems to have issues with her self-esteem due to her appearance. And she suffered a lot from it. But very early in the drama, we see that, although she is shy on the surface. Mi Rae is strong in the inside. Because when she understands that SFL (Su A) The japanese remake of MY ID GANGNAM BEAUTY just aired. It gives me room to compare the other versions already aired : the Korean drama and the Thai drama as well as the Japanese version.

In the Thai version that I almost watched entirely, FL (Liu ) is way more introvert and submissive to SFL (Faye)'s schemes. Even when Liu understands at the very end of the drama ( because she is too slow emotionally) that Fay has been her enemy from the start. Instead of drawing the line and protecting her love story and her beloved ( ML : Guy) ; she decides to surrender to Faye and abandon Guy because she has never had any friend in her life. And she prioritize friendship ( with a narcissist, gaslighting her knowingly ) over romance.
I was so pissed when I watched Liu begging Faye to stay her friend after the truth of her web of lies had been revealed. I think it was around episode 10. That I dropped the drama.
And trust me I almost never drop dramas because I carefully choose what I watch and I really really want to watch what I choose. So might put dramas on pause, hoping to finish it. But I harly drop dramas.
Frankly Liu was too weak willed in comparison to Mi Rae.

I could say the same for every character in the 2 dramas. But I don't want my post to be too long.
Long story short : In the K drama ML ( Do Gyeong Seok ) is strong and committed to FL (Mi Rae ) and He can protect her from the traps set by SFL ( Su A.)
Whereas in the Thai drama ML ( Guy ) was always afraid to protect FL ( Liu ). He even fell for her trap once and I was shocked. All this because Liu was too subdude by Faye and Guy was afraid to loose her.


Even SML ( Saint )'s alterego (Yeon U Yeon) was stronger in the Kdrama . Either in his relationship with FL ( Mi Rae ) or his rivalry with ML (Do Gyeong Seok). He wasn't a little dark like I saw Saint was, when he intensionally manipulated Liu to try to hook up with her. SML in the Kdrama (Yeon U Yeong) never lower himself to that level.

I did not like that the Thai drama make the plot more cliché and annoying. Meanwhile the Kdrama gave us strong and committed characters who can fight against injustice so we could see the antagonist facing rettribution .

This japanese version is just airing. 2 episodes are out. Because she is one of those FL who believe everything they are said and everything they see.
She is weird because sometimes she seems capable of understanding he concept of deception. And other times she doesn't even think that the person in from of her might be trying to deceive her.
She is too foolish sometimes for her own good.
