How would it be much worse?
I don't know those people but killing someone with a gun at his doorstep like they did to John Lennon, is the worst a stalker fan can do to his idole.

I have not read yet about the people you referenced. But a murder is a murder. Murdering a bl/gl actor is not worst than murdering the main singer of "the beattles". To me this is a fake debate.

I thought it was worth the watch. You can't always go by the comments on here. I don't know if I'd watch it multiple…
Thank you Yes I remember "Tale of Nokdu" . Great start. I had to put it on pause. Yes I liked the gender swap at the village and the funny scenes. Enjoy.

I am shocked. Poor Saif Ali Khan. It is very frightening if even a Khan is in danger. I hope his wife and kid…
Yes, after commenting on your post. I watched a clip from "hindustan times" and I saw that they caught the culprit on a train toward kolkata. They showed the guy on the staircase of the premises.
Yes it is actually very scary. Luckily Kareena wasn't there. first thing I feared was her being harmed because in my mind I still remember when she was pregnant.
I also read that SAK had a piece of knife (2.5 inches) by his spine. This gives me chills.
I wish the best for them.
From what I heard the police said it was a burglary.
I am very shocked especially because the apartment is in a safe neighbourhood. Even with that and the security staff, this man still made it to SAK's apartment. Unbelievable.

You are welcome, this polarization is not accurate. It can even spark violent controversies. Obsessive people are mentally ill people and it has nothing to do with genres, life styles, countries, media preferences...

I just hope entertainners can be safe. I personally focus only on their job as actor or singer by watching only their released dramas.
Although being exposed to it, I purposefully never look for their endorssements because I get the impression that I peek at their private life. Why? Because they are not portraying a character and people call them by their names. It makes me shy.
In real life when I see a celeb in the street I ignore him (I live in a megapolis) . Because every human being have the right to remain anonymous.

So I am very shocked to see what stalker fans are able to do.
May people be at peace.

This drama made it to my favs. It bumped on a clip and decided to watch this. I had so much fun and laughed so much. I could rewatch it several times just for the jokes and goofy moments. Oh dear Lord. Thank you haha.

How would it be much worse?
I never thought in my wildest dreams that only bl/gl drama fans were the worst at harming celebrities.
This is why I asked the question.
Indeed their is so much stories about unbalanced followers who harm the celebs they are obssesed with.
I am not aware of numbers. But I suppose that less occurrences (stalking, stabbing, gun shot..) happened to bl/gl drama celebs than mainstream drama celebs.
When I think about John Lennon shot to death or recently Zendaya receiving death threats from a 40 years old french man. who has been sentenced to 5 years of psychatric hospitalization since then.
It is clear that it is not about sexual preferences but more about the delusion people have.
Back in time it was more difficult to reach the celebs. Before social networks appear, in the 2000's, stalker fans only knew the location of the record company or the movie company. And they could only sent letters.
But now, when they monitor celebs social networks. They know in real time what they do. They can track there location and fantasize that this celeb is speaking only for them on twitter or insta.
Tracking celebs flight or residence is also easy.

So yes, it is not accurate to oppose "straight" and "bl/gl " stalker fan crimes. It is more about the level of stardom.

I agree. It's not about an ideology. It's about people being obssesed with someone they think they love. But in reality they are fixated on that person.
Every celebrity with a big fandom, is exposed to such unbalanced people.
I think that celebrities with lower stardom have less money to hire security. Thus, they are more likely to fall victim to those stalkers.

Their parents need to take the blame if these are the kinds of kids they raised. And before you make an excuse…
I agree. Bad parents must take their responsibilities if they did a bad job at educating those brats.

"And before you make an excuse and say the parents probably don’t know"
Me ... What excuse?? Never. If they dont monitor the misdeeds of their children nor the money spent to harrass a poor actor.
They should definitly be held accountable for those teens actions.

People need to stop bashing and mocking this man.
People don't know the real story behind this man's divorce. This is mean and unfair on their part..

He is a great actor and this movie seems like a good independant movie to me. Thus top quality.
And I hope it will be successful, if not domestically but internationally and on netwworks after that.

Let the man cry. We all know that artists are sensitive people. I am not suprised to see him emotional. He is a human being not a robot. Peace.

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Novel spoilers ahead. In the novel at least, it seemed like the fisherman was a somewhat harsh man. From chapter…
Wait ... what??? Hong In Ha was the one witnessing the face of real Sa Eon in the novel!
Why the to shift the focus to the little brother? If I take in account the development of the drama. I guess the writers wanted to magnify the role of HeeJoo. As a matter of fact, giving In Ha such an importance in the story would have created a competitor for the role of Female Lead.
Moreover, they needed an "ambiguous best friend " as a sidekick for HeeJoo. Ambiguous because when she appears she is like a new antagonist in the drama. It took me time to stop being suspicious of In Ha.

I also wanted to believe that Sa Eon's mother was alive somewhere enjoying a fortune. But the more I think about it. The more I believe that Baek Jang Ho was not the type of man to leave loose ends.
Leaving behind someone who could have threatened is lie seems too much to bare for him.
The quickest and easiest solution would be for him to do it himself. Like he did, driving the truck to silence Hong Yu Jin and In Ha.
If he was capable of a killing attempt on children in this violent way. And drowning Real Baek Sa Eon in the lake. To me it is believable that he could kille a woman. Who knows he might have used poison or just strangled her and put her in a bag. And hop... in the lake.

I will definitly read the novel. I gave the drama a 10 because I disregarded the shift of genre in the last episode. And I liked the Telenovela ending. It was a light ending after of the angst. It made me feel at ease at the end.
And the sexiness of Sa eon on the phone with HeeJoo : "I like it when my wife don't hold back." :)
There was a lot of thing I liked in the last episode. Although it felt rushed.

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Technically we did get sibling rivalry every time Chairman Hong antoganized papa Baek whenever he praised SE/…
True, HeeJoo's love saved him from going crazy.
The flashbacks of them being teens, in the sunset was so cute . She was his breath of fresh air.
I was also concerned when, in one of the flashbacks, we saw fake Sa Eon late at night alone in the street watching HeeJoo practicing sign language " I am fine". And him speaking the words. So sad.
This told me that, his life was harsh at the Baeks.

Too bad because if the Beaks have treated their real son in an institution, instead of locking him up in the basement. The story would have been different.

If you know Sa-Eon's secret (he's "his grandpa's" son), it should be easy. Fisherman was merely someone who "took…
"Fisherman was merely kind of like an employee and wouldn't dare let the big man grandpa's son call him dad because he's simply a "small man" and clean-up guy of those rich people."
Yes, I had the impression the fisherman knew who was Sa Eon's father and did not like him, when I heard him object to be called dad by Sa Eon.
At the time I did not fully grasp the relationship between him and Gran'Pa Baek.
Now that I know about their "work" relationship, it is even more disturbing.
The fisherman was faithful to his work ethic and vows to Grand'Pa baek. He never disclosed the truth even after the death of his employer. Good to know that his sense of justice let him call the blue house when he recognized real Sa Eon on TV.

Novel spoilers ahead. In the novel at least, it seemed like the fisherman was a somewhat harsh man. From chapter…
Thank you so much Dear @HA for taking the time to answer my question. Seeing that the fisherman was a type of henchman for Baek Jang Ho makes me understand even more the disturbing feeling I got watching him refusing to be called father by Sa Eon.
He seemed aloof and hot-temperd, this is why imagining him with a toddler feels out of places. But seeing him as a murderous buttler is very disturbing. This is where I understand the magnitude of the trauma the poor Sa Eon faced being abandonned by his mother and then being raised by that harsh man. To finally being taken in custody by the Baeks as a doppleganger. The poor boy was crooked emotionally. He needed time to build self confidence and accept his origin. Hence why he lost himself in Argan. He had a hard time accepting his father's "legacy".

Watching the drama, I always thought the real mother of Sa Eon was bribed to leave him in the fisherman's custody. I have always wanted to keep a glimmer of hope regarding Sa Eon's mother fate. However, now that I know that Baek Jang Ho used this fishing ground as a dumbster to get rid of corpse and evidences.
I believe he and his henchman the fisherman have probably dispose of the mother's corpse there, in the lake.

The glimpse I just got thanks to you from the novel is dark. And the characters are complex. I can sense why the drama holds so much meaning. The source it came from is very good.
Thank you :)

Yes. He never treated fake Sa Eon with respect and he was obssesed with political success. And we saw that later he was jealous of fake SaEon's political achievement and potencial.

100% agree. He deserved to be ridiculed at the election . HeeJoo and fake Sa Eon's life is better without him anyway.

I remember the dinner during wich he plotted a fake paparazi stunt to use fake Sa Eon for politics. The atmosphere was so tense. I don't know how Sa Eon could swallow the foof he had. This is where I see the stressful chilhood young fake Sa Eon lived. Poor thing.
