Yes right? So far the adaptation seems to be good because it is very mysterious, the pacing is good and I have absolutly no idea who can be the culprit. I enjoy it so much.
13. A drama you found boringLOL! This should be interesting. Looking forward to your answers.🤣 Should we be…
13- Yes I agree. A bigger budget would mean more interest. And this is how agency meddle with the script because they want to promote their artist. So they hire Screenwriters to write adition scenes for their artist. And doing so they spoil the entire drama by messing the plot. Sometimes you get 6 screenwriter for 1 drama. And everyone has his own agenda. The better is a smaller crew. Only 1 screenwriter. And the author involved. that way, we avoid messy pots.
13. A drama you found boring"Dashing youth" : I don't know what happened. I could watch until episode 4. Everytime…
14 - Right!! The show has good emotional sides but the adopted siblings romance which starts later in the show is weird to watch. Especially because the chinese show took the time to make us see the strong brother - sister ties, and all of a sudden the MLs are in love with the FL . The k-drama, on a different note, did not let us see a very close relationship. I mean they are close but no cuddling like in the chinese version. In the K-drama they bicker, they are close but we know very early that there is an attraction and we never saw any embrace. So with the push and pull we are eagerly anticipating this moment when ML & FL will first touch each other then kiss.
Each version has it targeted audience and subject. To me each version did well overall.
"Family by Choice" is a simple romcom that even teenagers can appreciate. "Go ahead" is more universal and emotional because it is more about the struggle of the adopted father loosing his adopted children. So it is more for a larger + mature audience.
Sorry my response was long but I couldn't explaine the difference if a few word.

14 - This make perfect sense. Yes the character development and the plot are the most important. The story was interesting and the actors was good. I don't know FL but ML was very impressive in "Lost you Forever". He was so good as a jealous, obsessive man that I still cannot watch him easily as a protagonist. I am a little bit traumatized. I have to make the first step.
13. A drama you found boring"Dashing youth" : I don't know what happened. I could watch until episode 4. Everytime…
13 - I know "Dashing Youth" is a good quality drama. I could notice it on the firsts 4 episodes, but it takes a lot of time to settle the story and it bored me. It is very rare for me to fall asleep before a drama. I was super surprised.
14 - "Family by Choice" is more about the forbidden romance between the adopted siblings. This is whythe romance starts very early on in the drama at episode 4. Whereas "Go Ahead" is more about the family. What is a family? Is it the parents you choose or those who give birth to you? The romance is secondary and a little creepy. ( The adopted brother starts out of the blue to be in love with his adopted sister. There is also a disturbing default of consent and an envasion of privacy when ML kisses FL on the lips while she is sleeping. This is not romantic at all to me. It makes of ML a weirdo).
15 - Yes those two drama just nailed it. I was a bit disturbed by the no kissing policy for LON, but it is still a great drama.

14 - I watched none of these. I have been told that the comedic scenes in "are you the one" was a failure. Not sure it is true. This is part of the reason I did not watch it.

13- I heard about "Fox Spirit Matchmaker" and what a disappointment it was. It was supposed to be a big success and failed. Thank you Now I understand why.

13. A drama you found boring "Dashing youth" : I don't know what happened. I could watch until episode 4. Everytime I fell asleep. However I know this is a good show. So there is no explanation. Mystery. "You are my secret" : they eliminated all the antagonists too early in the plot. So all the fun went with them.
14. A remake or an adaptation you watched in 2024 "Family by choice" : Remake of "Go ahead" ( chinese family drama )
15. A 2024 Drama that grew on you with time "The Double" : A true masterpiece. The more I watch it The more I like it. "Love of Nirvana" : I liked it on the first watch but as I rewatched some episodes I noticed detailes and I liked the drama more. Masterpiece.
10. Did you rewatch a drama in 2024?Among them : W two worlds, Familiar stranger (mini drama), Back from the brink...11.…
You are blessed. To be fair, I also avoided the comment section most of the time when "Lost you forever" was airing. I started commenting at the very end of the airing, maybe around 10 episodes before the finale episode release. Because I was shocked to see people insulting others personally. My first comment on this page was to ask for respect between the 2 fandom because I explained that I was avoiding the comment section due to the fanwars. But the fanwars were raging, and nobody cared unfortunatly. It was the only drama page where I saw people insulting others with my own eyes. After that I heard that there was other fanwars between "Story of a pearl girl" fandom and "Love game in eastern fantasy" fandom, but I strategically avoided those 5 insulting commentators, so I did not witness it. It is always like that, I suppose. On the page of "Lost you Forever" as well only few people were insulting everybody, always the same people. And after that the rudeness spread naturally in the forum. This is the same logic as in demonstration becoming fights in the street. A small group starts to fight and naturally, at some point of time it becomes a rumble.
It is so cool for one to be able to share his opinion on the comment section. Too bad sometimes things escalate to this point.
This drama is about fight for liberty and it is also revenge story. I really enjoyed the drama and this is one…
in fact, they filmed a kiss from afar. But it seems like a way to hide the no kissing policy. It is still one of the best dramas of the year for me. So I advice you to give it a try nevertheless. At least you'll make your opinion based on your own standards because despite the annoying no kissing policy. There is still chemistry , longing glares, a beautiful enemie to lovers trope. A lot of hidden clues in the drama. And a lot of unspeakable longings on FL and FL's part. You see, I am trying my best to make you test the drama because I really value this drama. Although I would have loved a great passionnate kiss. I had to believe in the kiss they gave us, filmed from afar. But the topic of the drama is great and it should be watched.
I will probably read the webtoon. Once the drama is finished airing. You made it sound interesting.
