I have not watched the ending already. But The serie in not pathetic at all. I think is a good show, well executed. until around episode 17 - 18. After that the rest is a little rushed because they want to end the show. This is not a trashy, low level show and I am thankful for that.

They did not become stupid. Their priorities changed over the course of the drama.
I don't know about a trend. But I find it very human. Professional workers prioritize the life of their children once they become parents (moving location, changing jobs...). Why wouldn't drama characters prioritize their beloved over their mission ?
I would not say they become stupid. I would say they are flawed characters who cope with inner struggles and finally show a human side. They are not machines.

This drama is about fight for liberty and it is also revenge story. I really enjoyed the drama and this is one of the best dramas of the year 2024 to me. I only regret that the romance could have been handle better. But I heard about Allen Ren no kissing policy. Yes the same phenomenon happens to me. I cannot watch at easily the same actor in 2 different dramas back to back without comparing the two drama. It happens to me now with "behind your smile" that I compare to "trick or love" and "lost romance". Thank you for the recommendation by the way. I enjoy the drama and I like FL even if she is childish. But I forgive her totally because her role is to be like that. It is not like in "Trick or love" during with she was a wise woman and suddenly started to sulk like a toddler at some point of time. Here she is psychologically built like that so I enjoy her acting. At some point of time I work with an autistic teenager and FL reminds me of her. ( always sweet, needing cuddling everytime, and very emotional). I am reaching mid season now and Marcus Chang made me pass through all sort of emotions ( positive and negative toward his character). This is proof that I like the show.

I always find weird that some people speak about plot holes for any drama when the drama is still airing and not even on mid season. They obviously don't know the concept of ellipsis and flashbacks. I find this argumentation very shallow.
There are so much show that put viewers in drama slump. For once there is one with a solid narration, they try to find plot holes whereas they have not even watched half of the drama. *smh*
This drama is a classic school drama. It is timeless, this is why they weare uniforms. It can be easily mistaken for one of the "School" franchise dramas.
I understand that you think that people are only attracted to the ML's beauty. But not everybody thinks this way. I personally think that Mun Ka Young ( Lim Joo Kyung ) is on the top of her game in this drama. She is very honnest in "true beauty". And to date this is the best role I watched her in. I believe her every joy, tear or fit. The male Leads for me are not on point in this drama. I love them both but Han So Jun was less believable than Lee Su Ho, but I forgive them.. And I had Second male lead syndrome because of this drama. This is a very cute drama. Of course I cannot deny that they are handsome. But to be fair beauty does not make a drama successful on every platform since its release. The drama is still among the more streamed on netflix, viki, and other plateform. Do you really think that this is because the male leads are handsome?
In my opinion the success comes from the quality of the drama. It is a classic, full of well executed trope and clichés. They spent money on costumes, location ( the school is gorgeous), there is a lot of extras acting wich means that they spent a lot of money hiring actors and not every school drama do so(In general we always see the same 4 actors+ 3 extras and that's it).
I am not in anyone's fandom but I recognize all the qualities of this timeless drama. Same timeless drama in another genre "Weak hero class 1", they all weare uniforms too and it could have been filmed yesterday.

I discovered FL in a compilation of a mini drama on youtube. At the time, I didn't even know that short dramas existed, I thought it was a movie. And I forgot it until I bumped onthe drama again " The Only Girl You Haven't Seen" S1 & S2( my all time favourite ), and it came back. I was stunned. And I discovered ML on "Your trap" and I love him ever since. I am glad they gave us a kind of sequel. It is very endearing. ^^
Yes the babies are so cute and their jokes are just so refreshing. I am glad they could impact the story. I especially love the walkie talkie pranks with ML. ^^
Helicopter scene : LOLOL oh yesssss. I laughed so much as well and I was also pissed because FL was a badass during all the drama but was letting SML harass her and threat her with a knife???!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. I was pissed. But this might be again because chinese film makers don't know how to end dramas properly. They had to add angst in a weird way. *sigh* Well.... It was kind of good but I would have prefered her to fight back. And Yes !! How ridiculous to come with an helicopter to let enough time for the villain to kill FL. tsk tsk tsk.
In fact I cried a little when she woke up. I was even stunned to do so watching a mini drama. They got me on that one. I guess the cute children touched also my heart. A girl can't resist LOL :)
