I will not try to change your opinion about Mei Lin being angry.
You think she was angry with MRJH. For me she wasn't. Why ? The same way she wasn't angry at Prince Yue Qin for locking her up and supressing definitly her martial art skills.
When she spoke to him she told him, that was all in the past.
Consequently the same way she fled Yue Qin to stop him from killing the innocent, is the same way she fled MRJH because she wanted to leave the rest of her days in peace. All was in the past for her. Because she new she had 3 months left to leave. And she could not do anything about it. Before that when she married Prince Yue Qin, she was paying a debt of honnor because he was saving her life.

I showed you earlier that the plan of Prince Yue Qin was since episode 6 to first keep her in the court of state ceremonial and then bring Mei Lin to Xiyan. He took 20 episodes to turn this project into a reality.
So logically, as announced in episode 6 the Xiyan arc was justified.
However, to my personal taste, it was to long.
A lot of people say that the Xiyan arc wasn't necessary or justified. But they forgot that Prince Yue Qin announce it very early in the drama and it was his project to have her there at any cost. He knew she was in love with Prince Jing and he wanted to separate them.

The poison was not uncurable.
Mei Lin could have already had the dragon flower medecine if it was not for Prince Yue Qin's obsession about her.
He used the fact that, this dragon flower could only bloom in Xiyan to force Mei Lin to go there with the secret goal of taking action there (episode 6 )
Even Shu Muo told him that Mei Lin was not for him, but he was stubborn :
