FL is morally grey character that's why I've been receiving a lot of hate specially from female users , they can…
I've read too many reddit posts to attest that this is true lol
I couldn't finish the drama how bs it was getting but seems like you managed to finish it and by the way you've worded it seems like FL didn't learn anything.
and why is Jung Hae In doing so many mellow characters.. hope isn't getting typecasted.
Love Next Door is the reason why I stopped watching rom kdramas... episode 9 is the most dumbest ever. FL loves ML but doesn't wanna disclose that and get back with ex so that ML can move on when she /spoiler/ .. ugh please do one love story without over exaggerating some kind of trauma or impending doom..
EDIT: Yeah, comments are right she didn't get back with her ex and nor did she get together withe ML .. when the /spoiler/ is revealed all hells break loose. Like this drama should be classified as makjang because of all the melodrama. Because if one /spoiler/ wasn't enough .. ML's mother has a /spoiler/ like wtf is this world filled with. And they aren't getting together bdw.. the expiry date has passed and so are the episodes (it's ep 11 not together).
And it has a comedy tag.. are you serious there is comedy? I didn't see any jokes.. just some plain FL beating ML trope, FL's father getting pushed around because he is useless trope.. and oh that's not SA fyi...
Dropped it hard at ep 11... sorry am done with this BS
This drama is a facepalm's facepalm... like on another level of stupidity. Braincells off to watch this.
Im at episode 8 and my conscience doesn't allow me to exploit someone soo damn emotionally and mentally just to catch some bandits.. like I would never forgive MC even if I fall in love with the said person
Just got spoiled that wei qu zi and yi chen get married and lili and jixing roomate attent it? why tho? Like how…
I mean what's wrong with trying for a relationship and if their goals match and they have chemistry, there is nothing wrong with it. A good friend would be happy that her friend found her happiness and her ex did too, the breakup wasn't toxic or ugly although one-sided yet still they didn't have regrets. (they didn't show them if they had). She i.e. FL was neglectful of exbf as I saw it. He had insecurities but was trying his best, while the side we saw of FL was lack of interest and a few I care for you scenes.
Although yeah, ex and FL didn't have a heart to heart conversation and ex just one-sidedly ended the relationship but still these dramas don't show the irl scenario where either of the party reaches out to get closure or another chance. If you are a side-character in a show you are bound to get dumped by ML/FL lol.
Lol IMDB rating is 8.9 MDL it means u r really unreliable 😁
both are user ratings.. I would agree with MDL rating.. 8-8.5, this is a typical young chaebol CEO drama. I just hope these chaebol CEO's resign and start their own business for once lol
I have a question.Who all think that the 2FL new boyfriend is married with a family or it is something that he…
It's a hard breakup relationship.. you can get the vibes since they've started dating.. she wants to know about him and he is dodging every question of hers
so whats going on should i start or wait some more episodes is it good enough for Xu Kai fans or just good like…
someone who dropped best choice ever because of FL's mom.. this as of 20 episodes doesn't have any toxic parents on either side (yet). The romance is yet to bloom, probably another 3-5 episodes. I would say wait till it reaches 30 episodes then you can get into it as the romance would've started and/or the precipice of the story has reached.
Although Xu Kai is the typical chaebol with 100+ years of experience and youngest CEO in the market, he always does blend into the role like butter. Is Xu Kai being typecasted?
So, I liked the premise of the drama, an artist who realized his mistake in drawing a good cop and getting him…
Of course, as we've seen from earlier cases, they just catch them, their fates are yet to be seen. The reason why I find it odd in this drama is you don't see sympathy from the detectives in cases such as this. If you've seen western crime-thriller or crime-detective dramas, you often come across detectives being emotionally invested in either victims or wrongly accused convicts. They go to lengths to help them clear out their names or get them justice. You'll also see them acting on their own self-justice.
I bet in a western drama, the second victim and attacker would've been not tried or let go deliberately by the detectives. Either that or they would show the attorney's office and getting a deal for both victims to be free. In Cdramas, they usually hide the judiciary rulings as they are afraid of the censorship or you know who.
Still, I am only watching for the suspense of the original plot, let's see how that goes.
I came to the comments for this. Wondering if it was worth watching as an 'only-romance' watcher lol
If you have a knack for some mystery and crime-based dramas, you'll love it. The drama keeps you hooked with how they solve and how witty our handsome Cheng Yi is, by the end of the drama you'll have one name resounding/echoing in your ears. "Li Lianhuaa"
Episode 11-12 case is the most dumbest and propaganda filled episodes. More in spoilers
So, I liked the premise of the drama, an artist who realized his mistake in drawing a good cop and getting him murdered and later joining police force as redemption. Cool upto this point, but every case where you are morally inclined to not pursue further they do it in every case to justify the law exists above everyone, Follow the law and respect it or whatever.
Now coming to the case of sexual and physical abuse of two women in ep 11-12. This case was a clear open and shut case. You find a woman killing her past abuser and also husband who tormented her for years on and when the woman ran from him, he pursued and found her. She kills her in self-defense or what it seemed. The case begins, our awesome duo find irregularities and it becomes a pre-mediated murder case. Hmm, morally yeah you should pardon this on the pretense of abuse and her finding a way to get rid of it. However, as sh*tty as CCP propaganda goes, they take a step further.
So, the husband or a*hole abuser has a gf after the wife ran, he again started abusing this woman as well and impregnates her (prolly sexual abuse?). The drama doesn't go into the abuse part or how it should be condoned rather they go into how you shouldn't take law in your hands. There must be a reason why these ladies took it upon themselves to get rid of the abuser as the police is f**king incompetent to say the least.
Back to topic at hand, this gf had it enough and finds a way to contact the wife and asks her help in getting rid of her. They concot a plan and kill him, cool. These detectives already had the wife on murder charges go a f**king step ahead and connects this to some medivel era art to say that two woman together kill a man. Detectives do their stuff and charges the other woman/gf pregnant with a baby. Like you need to be an a**hole to not have any sympathy for both the woman who had undergone so much abuse and yet are still convicted of getting rid of a piece of sh*t of a human being. Okay, she the gf, did help her in killing the man but still...
The whole case, I was like alright we got the convict, murder charges, cool stop it now - but the detectives were like no there must be more more more and charge another as well. All this time the episode didn't even for a second show how pathetic of man he was to abuse two woman, rather it's the women who shouldn't have killed him or taken law in their hands. Like the moral here is praise the law/CCP.
I am in no way praising the killing of some piece of sh*t human being, no, but the lengths the screenwriters went to show that you shouldn't take laws into your hands was despicable to say the least. On an ordinary day, this would be open and shut case with convicting the wife or maybe self-defense and yet we see how unsympathetic these cops were, was surreal to watch.
There has been two cases by now in the drama where they put a parent or soon-to-be parent in jail for justice. Ughh too much ranting ..anyways
As the famous Malaysian parliament minister said, "F*** YOU!"
Just my opinion, Lin Wan’er was made the female lead by the drama writers because the drama needed a romantic…
yeah that's why I would've liked if there was no romance at all, they could've at least made it about companionship and friendship rather than this monotonous romance where Wan'er does barely anything in any of the arcs and we see more of Duo Duo actually helping him achieve whatever set goal is in that arc.
I just started the novel btw, hoping to get the author's actual intended perspective but the thing I hate about chinese novels is their overly edgy lord ML syndrome. For some unknown reason, they make their MC emotionless, arrogant and indifferent to any other characters. I can't describe it clearly but there is this inhumanness which you can't relate to as it is not present in irl. That's where these dramas come in and they water down those attitudes and make them more loveable.
For example, I am still in the 4-5 year old Feng Xian arc, in the novel he is seen as a strict ruthless and way too condescending when compared to in the novel where you see him cry when Rou Rou leaves him, he is seen pranking his master and blaming it on Wu Zhu. They are funny and digestible because it shows that they are still human, but in novels, they are emotionless robots who are just set on their goals or whatever.
