I don't know why some people are saying it is rigged. I watched the previous seasons and I can tell it is not. They did make questionable decisions though (like restarting the same day after the final challenge machine malfunctioned instead of giving both competitor a fair chance and rest). Or not thinking thru what better finale challenges to give. Now, with Physical Asia, there is absolutely no reason to rig this. Although the show is Korean, the money is coming from Netflix. There is no benefit in rigging this to favor the Korean team. That would actually backfire if you antagonize your viewers. That's the main point of setting up a country competition as they want to gain more viewers internationally.Netflix wants a return on their investment and to keep the franchise longer. Making Korea win does not serve any purpose. That said, Korea's line up is truly powerful so I wouldn't be surprised if they win. But my bet is still Japan or Mongolia
Started late so I just finished ep4, I bawled my eyes out.🥲 Initially when watching clips, I thought her parents hated her, but no, they are actually not bad people. And that makes it even worse and hurts more. Since they are fully capable of loving, and in their mind they thought they already made up for their initial abandonment of her. They simply had bias as they weren't able to fully connect to her. That scene where her Mom tries to bathe her and wash her clothes, only to find out she's fully independent and doesn't need her. It was so heartbreaking. I wonder if she'd have connected with them more if she was a bit dependent. I wish they were just fully bad, it's easier to hate and seek revenge. It's worse when people who hurt you don't even realize it and thinks you have no justification to feel what you feel.
I just started this and so far so good. I'm already looking forward to the angst. My only comment is that the ML's parents look to young for him. It seems the Mom actress is only few years older than him irl.
Also, why even make that Ryuji character handicapped. It just made things look dumb. Even with clues about the games, it's really impossible to believe he'd survive that far. Plus having extra human strength and also swimming.🙄 It was ridiculous. Would have worked just fine if they gave him normal legs.
I watched with zero expectations but I still didn't like it. It felt so disconnected from the other 2 seasons. It's an obvious cashgrab by Netflix. Arisu and Usagi were like guest roles. Probably if Netflix can get away with it, they would have all new characters just to lower the cost. The production is obviously cheaper as most games are played indoors and in a greenscreen. I know it's a matter of preference, but it lost that 'anime' vibe from early seasons. No cool characters and a-ha outwit moments. Season 3 was going for the emotional vibe, tbf, some people might prefer that. The problem is, there is not enough buildup to care for the plight of these new characters. They also messed up some established rules they had with the Borderlands. In conclusion, it was only an okay watch. It did not add any meaningful layer to the lore.
Just about to finish ep4 now and I honestly don't like what they did with Usagi's character. I feel like it totally mismatched her characterization from the earlier seasons. The story of that handicapped guy is also not interesting. I don't like how they kinda force a romantic misunderstanding. So far, only Kazuya's (the yakuza guy) story's stands out for me.
Im not yet done with the novel , it started with a bang , but some parts im like REALLY come on , personally the…
Yeah, I also paused for now (in the beginning I couldn't stop reading cause it was great). The author keeps breaking the momentum, the romance part were just crumbs while it kept going on and on about the pork business. I persisted, but then after that it also rambled on about the war and the conspiracies. I get it, it's building the background for the story, but it was too much. Wished the author focused more on the romance. In this sense, I think Prisoner of Beauty/The Marquis is Innocent is so much better.
I feel like PSH is kicking punching the air right now with how well this has been received. IMO, it is not exceptionally amazing for today's standards, but it's definitely giving me the nostalgic Kdrama feels and pulled me momentarily from Cdramas. I think PSH would have also done well specially with the deranged vibes, but whether he can pull that 'conflicted slowly falling for her aura romantic' side is something we'll never know. And here is where LCM is excellent. Aside from adding that youthful charm, he is really able to show duality and layer in his character. Great job so far!
Was good, but definitely the first arc was the best. The demon realm and later parts went too fast. Although I don't like dragging plots, I somehow felt the 3 lives were not equally fleshed out.
I'm on chap100 of the novel. It really started good, but tbh it's kinda dragging on some parts later on. I hope the tv version will not drag the plot too.
Honestly the synopsis here seems a little bland. But I checked the novel plot and it immediately sparked my interest. I'm reading the novel now and it's soooo good 💕
I really don't like this kind of sacrifice and when FL becomes a weakness to the ML. I struggled with today's episode. I'm ready to move on to the new arc.
ayayay Did Sima Jiao not learn the first time? Best course of action was for TingYao to take off the anklet, turn her into an otter and put her into his pocket. Then he can defeat everyone effortlessly or just escape fast.lol
