Well, if they can't stand up that story it is better to drop the drama instead of getting frustrated. There are much light themed dramas to watch without a lot of bloodshed and morally grey characters and decisions - some viewers enjoy much simple stories which I can't stand personally as everything there is so predictable - so I would say C-drama land caters to everyone taste :)

Exactly :) imagine your mother tells you to go and reflect on yourself as you did something against your family rules... and you are already and adult person having your own children 😁🤣😂
So being a ML I would probably kill that girl on the spot... as no witness no danger for me and my case... yet he still didn't kill her which cause him a lot of trouble in the future... He is not bad person, he just have to complete his life mission which is getting freedom for his clan... and a lot of clan members already sacrificed their lives for that goal. Can he forget about that mission? Of course not... But he is getting familiar with a girl and can see how good and upright person she is... and he will fall for her not because she is a beauty but because she has pure heart.
In the novel that happened after he kidnapped her and she was living in his clan village as well as save them from a trap during war... that moment she could successfully escape from his hands but she decided to save lives of innocent people and played against her own country army... He had asked her why? They really didn't were in love yet in that moment... So in the drama mutual attraction shows up much earlier :)
The show is so different already from the novel but its not disappointing at all - I enjoy both versions of the story :) Hopefully screenwriters will keep a good work and do not write some stupid and unreasonable plot twists. One of the worst novel based dramas so far was Amai goes to the Army aka Fighting for love where screenwriters really destroyed such a good story!
Not everyone is watching daily and not everyone is using payed services so a lot of people is behind... and you simply make a nice summary of the episode :)

This is one of the reasons why I enjoy to watch costume dramas - completely different world, society norms, complicated characters and political situations. Not to mention martial art scenes, amazing outfits and drama sets :) I find it more interesting to watch not so black and white dramas where we have character development and complicated political/revenge story lines.
The utter sickness and disgust I feel reading most of the comments here is frankly overwhelming.Majority of the…
This is a drama and if you don't like it just don't watch it... Your comments about viewers who enjoy it and want to see the story development or they are happy about ML and FL getting closer - are not in place
Its a fictional world and fictional story where assassin meets a girl during his mission... He didn't kill her and from his point of view it was a mistake as she will be a serious threat to his mission and will cost his team members their lives... As the story events unfolds they will start to know each other and build up feelings despite everything what is happening in that chaotic world

Well, in such a world without certain skills - scheming, martial arts prowess, poison knowledge etc - main characters wouldn't even make to adulthood ;)
Is liking an ML as the red flag character deems fans who are excited to watch more as bad people? And liking such…
As many viewers as many opinions - I do understand that someone may not like to watch scenes of violence and this drama may be not up to their liking. is it violent? yes, as ML is on the war/spy mission and because he didn't kill the FL at their first encounter (what assassin should do to do not leave any witness) she got entangled between him and PY blood feud and court plots. She is the only one who can identify him. And because of her actions he has lost few his team members which were like his family. What are you expecting him to do? Do not try to silence her? Should he trust her just because she said so? This is not a case of domestic abuse. They are literally strangers. They don't have any feelings yet. Some guys are saying they won't stand up watching her falling for that guy... This is a part of the drama plot... They are enemies which with a time will start to build up feelings for each other. ML is not an evil person... and she will understand that with a time. Can viewers warship them as a couple? Why not? Not everything has to be black and white and as long as there is reasonable story line they could fall in love for each other. And don't forget - its drama after all when characters got magically healed from deadly wounds, can fly into the air, use internal powers etc.
People on Twitter (X) said the adaptation was toned down, and that PY was forcing XC to come with him, whereas…
Firstly in novel during the encounter on the tree WZ didn't want to kill innocent girl... So he only blocked her acupoints and made a deal with her and allowed her to watch an opera and the martial arts gathering. He gave her fake poison and unlocked acupoints which she could recognise and they were sitting together on that tree and watching how events were unfolding. Unfortunately as JC was moving and talking too much they had been discovered by Mrs Pei who gave a hint to Pei Yan so he used lightness skill to jump on that tree. WZ pushed JC down and she got seriously injured by Pei Yan and later he was treating her as she could be a key to identification of Wuxia. Screenwriters made ML more ruthless towards JC in drama than he really was in the novel Also there are countless differences in terms of the story line and plots. So let's see how they are going to play it :) as now it's hard to predict how the story will unfold.
Ren Jia Lun is playing really well, and his character is written in the way that makes my skin crawl.... I love…
She will fall for him in the novel after knowing him much better and his past as well as what he is fighting for (and thats not a revenge) - and process took months He wont be interested in her for a long time - she is basically his enemy.
they may change it to please the audience - also drama is more romance focused too... so who knows :) Or they will take another approach and actually make CL and JC loving couple as few years of time will pass by...
