There was 5 years break between seasons - all the actors are older now, got more experience during these years, so I think its hard for them to start where they dropped their characters and portrait someone much younger then they really are... the second prince is a good example - but for me show is still very good and we are just getting deeper into a story, so I expect much more troubles to come towards Fan Xian in next episodes.

She has been feed some medicine and kept isolated for years (by her own father and his consort who were behind her birth mother death) so she has grown up on her own - struggling with PTSD and studying medicine but she is super smart and you will see her character growth during series.

well, they forgot to replace actors who portrayed brothers and it was around 2 years of time if I am not mistaken

yeah, they were such a nice bickering couple - the last episode still covered up a lot and we got pretty nice ending :)

these guys also had their development :) and many great moments - fight scenes were pleasure to watch

I guess we will see Hu Yi Tian in more costume dramas in the future - his fight scenes were very satisfying to watch :)

I think she was too young to be that smart at the end... she couldn't control herself and just remember how she was at the very beginning of the story - growing up unruly, building her models, speaking without even thinking... she had real character growth during the story - but ofc screenwriters let her to make some mistakes to keep the story running ;)
