HZ never loses her cool like that so see her get so upset and pass out is so sad.
I think she was too young to be that smart at the end... she couldn't control herself and just remember how she was at the very beginning of the story - growing up unruly, building her models, speaking without even thinking... she had real character growth during the story - but ofc screenwriters let her to make some mistakes to keep the story running ;)
Omg. This show was the best. What a perfect ending! The character growth of all the characters was astounding.…
I do agree - so many characters has such a nice growth... the Hua ladies made a wonderful journey and the bond they build up and strength they have earned as the family :)
honestly... I somehow wanted the emperor character to be fixed as I really liked this evil guy 😈 🤣.. but…
This one was beyond a fix :) I was hoping for him to be just a bit better man at the end - but hell no - he stayed true to himself till the last moment - he wasn't able even to show a bit of mercy to HZ not to mention a gratitude for all her hard work to renovate the canal... like he said in the first episodes of the drama - he was an emperor and everyone else was just insignificant subject to him...

Emperor never had an intention to allow HZ to redeem Hua family men with money... he was just waiting as spider watching his victim to get fatter for a moment to grasp it... ofc I mean the wealth HZ was accumulating to buy off freedom for her grandfather and other guys...
I loved the story and the ending but in ch 37 i felt so much conflict with the fl and her behavior with the emperor,…
Well vicious manipulative old emperor vs young upright girl - what kind of outcome would you expect from their confrontation? ofc he managed to provoke her - and I bet he would never let her to redeem men - he was only watching her to accumulate the wealth to seize it at any opportunity
He is a true Machiavellian. He purposely asked Qi Ruhai (the previous Commander of the Security Bureau in Epi…
He didn't love Gu Yanxi - he just wanted his loyalty - that's why he raised him in the first place - so YX couldn't get close to his real father and that way there would be no chance for his brother to rebel...

She simply stayed strong for her family - as no one else was capable of taking the leader role - her main goal was to redeem men and - you can guys say she was guilty of provoking emperor but I believe that he was never about to let them back to capital. Just think how manipulative he was - I bet he didn't raise YX cause he was a good uncle - he did that to be sure that his brother won't turn against him as long as YX will stay in his grasp.
