Can someone explain how Poisonous Passion is related to this show? It seems like Poisonous Passion is not a remake…
Many Thai remakes don’t look like the original nowadays. Because the originals usually incorporate a lot of rape culture and, something that today’s viewership no longer accepts as before (well, not as much) and other tropes that aren’t very appreciated anymore (ex : extremely weak and stupid female lead or gender inequalities) so today’s writers and producers have to make some changes compared to the original if they wanna gain viewers and not be called out as promoting rape culture
Just one question : the first guy is a villain because he raped the female lead, I get it But why is it that the male lead also rapes the female lead and somehow, is still presented as the good guy ? Thailand and their nonsensical double-standards…
If all goes well, he’s just gonna have to stay low for a while, like Zhang Ming En and Yuan Bing Yuan, and then make a comeback with a drama or a movie, like they did. After all, he really did no fault here : no infidelity, no rape, and no infringement of the law ; moreover, a lot of people are smart enough to see that he’s the one being wronged here, not the opposite, so this shouldn’t impact his career too much Hope nothing else happens from now on
Mak’s mom better receive her karma at the end of the series, with everyone knowing that she deliberately let Nak die in childbirth and made sure no one would help her, and hating her for this, especially Mak, her beloved son. What’s worse is that even after what she did, she still shifted the blame on others. I also hope that she will realize that when the witch prophetized that she wouldn’t have grandchildren, it was because she was destined to kill her unborn grandchild and not because the child wasn’t Mak, as she liked to believe. She deliberately caused someone and her unborn child to die in sufferings, which is no different from murder, but she still pretends she did nothing wrong ! If they make this a drama about how Nak has to forgive this awful woman for all the sufferings and having deliberately caused her to die with her unborn child out of pure wickedness, without any remorse while she isn’t punished at all, I’m gonna be REALLY pissed off !
Based on the comments, it's a f*cked up lakorn like My Friend the Enemy. Will use my time to watch something else…
Nah, it’s even worse than My Friend The Enemy At least MFTE still made some sense in it’s writing (despite how frustrating it turned out), this one doesn’t
the last episode ruin all the drama... that's why I give it a 9 in the end! I didn't like that Orn didn't be punished
Well, unlike the original material, this drama made it more about some personal war between Wikanda and her husband rather than between Orn and Wikanda
Damn, this better not impact his career I’m getting sick of losing my favorite actors over trivial things or matters of their private lives that are totally relevant to their work ! (note : these words do not imply Wang Dong and Kris Wu : in their cases, they had it coming) Moreover, he really did nothing wrong here !
Makes me crazy to hear so many rumors and to remember that the company that bought the rights to this is basically an unknown company in financial troubles, which basically means they we won’t see this anytime soon…
The rumor about casting YY & Bai Lu and now Wu lei &YiYi both seems are fanmade rumor🤣🤣BTW I saw on weibo…
Rising actors or non-traffic actors would be nice, I admit… Kind of annoying to see so many underrated actors not getting interesting parts but it’s always the same getting these again and again (won’t give names, don’t want to offend their fans, been burnt enough on that side 🤕)
I will keep saying it : I AM CERTAIN that Vincent Wei is not the male lead. It’s only been 4 episodes and his character already did more evil than in the whole Maid’s Revenge series. On the other hand, DaiDai’s character is already a model of love and devotion Moreover, there’s plenty of little clues in the trailer. My guess is that some point, WeiWei will « kill » DaiDai but DaiDai will come back under a fake identity, as Tang Zifeng, to get revenge on his brother (and maybe also save the female lead from him)

His character is too evil here, especially compared to DaiDai
But ever since he left them, he only played adulterous husband
