they are in a fake fantasy drama 🙄😠lmaoo just enjoy it and not over analyze so much
Why can't I analyze it? It's my way to enjoy a story to analyze the plot and the characters, to understand what's happening and why. I'm just saying that the dialogues and the interactions between the two children weren't really convincing for me, it did not look natural. But if you liked those scenes, then I'm happy for you!
I almost cried with them when they were at the second place, tbh fake or not having your friends literally screaming words of encouragement and comfort for you it can be considered as a form of therapy.
Yeah, the kiss scene was absolutely unnecessary and made it overly dramatic.
For real, like they met two hours ago?? And they're nine?? A hug would have been so much better. All the child actors' scenes were written a bit too much dramatic to be played by children. Maybe it could have worked out if they were teenagers.
First episode was kind of a letdown, especially all those presumably "romantic" scenes between the two child actors, like just why. They're literally playing 9 years old children and those scenes were a bit too dramatic, it just felt fake and we're in a /fantasy/ drama.
The second episode was way better than the previous one. For now, I like both of the leads and the royal court's intrigues seem interesting. I appreciate that here finally we have a female lead that has male bestfriends who aren't in love with her and I find Chung Ki funny, she's determined, fierce and knows her value (also she kind of doesn't have manners, but it's understandable). I'm already fond of Ha Ram cause I've a soft spot for characters who appear always calm and collected, but are actually the masterminds behind every scheme.
Ya in this week episode Jessi and Sang Yeob were so cute shsh also Ji Hyun waaa she's really good at games and such she was having so much fun and fitted so well with all the cast 🤣
This week episode was everything I asked for. Especially the focus on Dr. Do and his wife's story touched me a lot, I really can't watch Dr. Do crying without tearing up myself, I just really love his character. We got a lot of development for our current couples (finally Minha got a date, I can't wait to see the two of them together) and I'm glad that our winter garden couple were able to talk to each other about Gyeo's situation and how Jung Won comfort her in a very soothing way.
Also omg our main five look so GOOD in these rock-leather outfits, I enjoyed the song so much, Ik Jun sings so well, gosh.
This drama is not bad, but the "romantic" scenes between Jung Oh and Sang So made me so uncomfortable that I had to skip all of them. Also the way Sang So's mother behave with Jung Oh is as insufferable as Sang So attitude, just leave the poor girl alone gosh.
Coming back to this to see the airing date and reading the comment it's seems they really intend to put a lot…
Tbh I really hope this drama will help me to revive my passion for Math at least a little, cause it's a really hard science to study and I'm not a genius, so right now I'm kind stuck without knowing if give up or not.
Coming back to this to see the airing date and reading the comment it's seems they really intend to put a lot of focus on Math. This is gonna be fun. I don't care a bit about the romance, but as math major I'm definitely gonna watch this.
My gosh, honestly I wouldn't even have that much problem with Ga On's indecisive attitude (because he grew up with certain morlas and it's difficult to change that, you'll always question on how much you can push yourself in this ruthless world) if the writers would at least made his character smart. They had the perfect chance to made Ga On the character that struggle to understand how much the end justifies the means, with Yo Han be his darkness and temptation while Soo Hyun the light that keeps his morals grounded, instead noooooo they just had to ruin both the second leads characters, I'm so pissed.
One thing I really like about TDJ is the fact that Jung Sun Ah has a strong back story unlike other evil female…
Yeah, I totally agree with you. Like, I despite her but she's an intriguing character. She's a proper main villain with a well thought back story. We see her making horrible and cruel choices and yet time to time, she feels so lonely that we kind of pity her. I also liked that at the end of the day, when Yo Han tried to used her, she chosed herself over him and instead decided to make him as miserable as she was feeling. This is what a villain does. I hope we'll get more female villain like her in the future.
If only this show has better writing... The cast is pretty good (I mean, we got Ji Sung and Jin Young's acting is decent), so with a better script and some more thoughtful choices, this drama could have been on the same level as Beyond Evil, yet here we are. Let's just hope the last two episode won't disappoint.
Also Ik Jun and Song Hwa kissing! HELL YEAH AFTER TWO SEASONS WE MADE IT

The fantasy special affects are decent and cinematography is good, it's too soon to be able to say anything about the storyline (if not that they really put too much in ep 1), but if there's one thing that bothers me is the cliché romantic scenes (that part in the palaquin, gosh... I had to stop myself to roll my eyes).
So, until now for me it's a 8/10, we'll see how it goes.
