TJC is outstanding in this role. His performance and coveting emotion only with his eyes leave me sad and speechless every time he shows up on the screen.

The love I have for XL’s character must be thanks to TJC. He was born for this role.

I like the song itself but in this scene it sounded so out of place. They can do it better, like the scene when XY sings, those did not sound so badly.

I feel like it’s going to backfire on him, the way he treats her. He underestimates his new queen.

CX is red but sometimes giving even black flag. As for XL I would say he was a red flag turning grey after spending some time with XY.

I’m rewatching Season 1 right now and I’ve just realized that both Xiang Liu and Tushan Jing were most free and themselves when using fake identities 🥲 For them, living with their real identities is some form of curse. The responsibilities and people around are making their lives harder, so for the self preservation they have to act in a ways they don’t like.

At the same time for Xiao Yao and Cang Xuan the crucial part was getting back their identities. Xiao Yao literally got her face back and could be a woman. Cang Xuan, after years of living in hiding, starts to claim his position as a Prince and potential successor.

Not me being so sad watching XL spending time with XY as Fangfeng Bei, being so free, flirty and smiling so much. That’s probably the best time of his life 🥲
