valid critique. my guess is that since there are no other personas she is hurrying to write su chengcheng and tang qi together before their dating era. scc will take time to return his feelings. it should have taken an episode at least but things have been dragged out too long. I'm not a robot is a drama which did this forgiveness scene beautifully. it was awkward when scc just walked back after running all the way home lmao. I do think the apologies were nicely done, since he received closure from each of the personas.

tbh he did too much with Su Miao and Fang Jin. I said before that with a different bgm his actions would be considered creepy. she didn't need to go as far as killing the personas off but he kept pushing his feelings onto two women who did not want to get into a relationship with him (which he acknowledged).

I don't know much about film but from a storytelling point, this seems to be very rushed. every dramatic thing that happens is not given time to breathe because the editing is so fast. I know people on here don't like to compare dramas but to use Blossom as an example, the speed in which the ML went from distrust to reluctant belief to love was gradual, but in this one the transformation in the ML seems instant. it doesn't ring true for me especially since his character set up is that he's investigating who betrayed him and his army.

I really loved what Gu Yu said. It could only be spoken by a man in love. But also I love how Gu Yu has handled the whole situation. He's there for his best friend but also believes the crazy situation without question, but also understands that Lin Yuan will do anything for Su Chengcheng so he doesn't interfere with that. Now that he's got part of the whole picture, he tells her that the two will work it out. What an emotionally intelligent man! Not to mention how he's given Lin Yuan space and no pressure! aaaahhhhh!

the reveal was so crazy I could hardly breathe. tang qi creeped me out too and on top of that the camera shows an ant getting caught by a spiderweb just when she agrees to come to his house. my heart dropped. TJC has used so many of his tools in this drama (sensitivity, vulnerability, eeriness, aloofness). a lesser actor would not be able to hold this up. of course li landi is just as incredible. episode 15 was her peak and she is consistent throughout the series. the difference between them was so stark when she ran after him asking him whether he forgives her and can she still keep her job and he turns with that broken look on his face. how heartbreaking. she couldn't see that regardless of her intentions she hurt him. he had all these feelings and now he didn't know where to put all of them because they were for 'different' people. now he'll slowly have to arrange all of those people into one person. but for su chengcheng, her beliefs about beauty and who is supposed to be the princess and who deserves to be liked by a man like tang qi who seems to have everything is her blind spot. it will take a lot for her to believe that he likes her as she is, or as she was in all those personas
