I think the story was okay - more interesting than in some other short dramas.
The ending was unexpected - it makes me think that maybe there are some plans for a sequel.

The acting was okayish.
There are a lot of kissing scenes, but some of them are weak (shot from a wrong angle, and one can see that the actors' lips are barely touching).

My favorite scene is when one of the villains is dying, and instead of trying to save him, trying to do some CPR or something, the leads just look at him dying and calmly say "He's already dead", "He had it coming."

Oh well, another one bites the dust, I guess... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ πŸ˜‚

This doesn’t have a happy ending if you were wondering. I prefer the alternative ending
Incorrect. The ending meets all happy ending acceptance criteria, defined by the IT department.

1. Sometimes in order to deploy an effective fix, some parts of the system need to be shut down.

is it too much asking for happy ending?
It was a happy ending! The IT guy applied the fix, restarted the system and it worked! πŸ˜‰

If you decide to watch this movie, be sure to see it on a big screen and in high quality.
The only aspect of this movie that may be worth watching is its colorful and beautifully shot scenes.

The story was very simple, feeling more like a draft than a complete narrative. Fortunately, the movie is quite short, and it could have been even shorter, as some scenes seemed unnecessary.

The acting was okay, but some scenes could have been performed better.

Survival stories are always emotional n painful to watch n when everyone is rescued with no or minimum loss, U…
Thai Navy SEAL Beirut Pakbara also died after 12 months from the blood infection he contracted during the rescue at Tham Luang cave.

This drama was weak and not worth watching.

There were several issues. The story could be improved with stronger humor. The camerawork was too dull and static to complement the type of humor the drama attempted to convey.

There was also no chemistry between the leads.
In terms of acting, Asakawa Nana could have delivered a stronger performance. Personally, I would have preferred to see Yano Yuuka in the lead female role.

This movie is art. It requires attention, and it's very open to interpretation.

Lesson learned:
When you venture into the unknown and eat some weird-looking mushrooms, you may have some weird ideas about life's harmony and things/people that disturb it.

The 2nd episode was the best (grandma won me over). Other than that, the drama dragged a lot for me (it's watchable at 2-2.5x speed). The FL was naive throughout the whole drama. The ML was a jerk for the most of it.
Acting was pretty good.

Most of the time, especially after the first few episodes, it was a set of predictable cliches. There are better dramas out there.

I'm glad that my prediction by the end of season 2 turned out to be correct πŸ˜‰

In season 3 I felt that some side stories were unnecessary, but other than that it was still pretty good.
The ending leaves almost everyone's story open, but I think that's actually fine. It's still a good material for a potential sequel πŸ˜‰

Overall it was a very good drama, with very realistic characters (except for the teenage son - he's too good to be real, right? πŸ˜‰) and good acting.

On Light the Night Season 2 Apr 18, 2026
Season 1 was about who the victim is. So season 2 must be about who the murderer is, right?
I like how in season 1 everyone could be the victim, but by the end most of the grudges pointed at one person.
In season two it's similar - everyone has a motive.

Very well-written drama so far. Nice character development. Good acting. The pacing could be a bit faster, but it's okay.

Now on to season 3.

Childish humor and a set of cliches. Rainie Yang looks nice, and the acting is good, but that's it.

I've watched the 23-episode version on YT.

The first 7 episodes were filled with cheap and cringe comedy moments (or maybe "cute" for some early teenagers) to the point that I considered dropping it a few times (and I almost never drop dramas).

From episode 8 onward it felt a bit like a different drama. It's a bit more serious, sometimes even feeling like a melodrama.

Acting was actually good. At some moments I thought it was even better than this story deserved.

Overall I think there are many better dramas out there, but if you decide to watch this one and cannot stand the childish humor (or the ML's hair πŸ˜‰), I think you can just jump to episode 8 (in the 23-episode version) and start from there.

A well-written and well-executed drama so far (I just completed season 1).
It starts with a hook and keeps you guessing who the victim is while uncovering more and more story before the incident.
The characters are interesting, and the acting is mostly good enough.
