I've checked the rating of this drama a few times and it started from 7.8 after episode 2, then 8.0 after episode…
It must've been the 1st episode then. That is weird because the first episode is nothing special š IMO this drama becomes interesting around episode 3.
I remember the rating was 8.5 before, but now it has dropped to 8.2. Is it really that bad? Iām still unsure…
I've checked the rating of this drama a few times and it started from 7.8 after episode 2, then 8.0 after episode 4, then 8.1 after episode 6 and finally 8.2 (current rating) after episode 10. Are you sure this drama had ever reached 8.5?
After season 1 I was emotionally drained. It seemed predictable but it was very well executed. I was just wondering why the season 2 is yet another 10 episodes? Didn't we see the whole story in season 1? Now just kill the bastards, explain the ghost and let's get on with it. Right?
And honestly in the first episodes of Season 2 I felt confused and disappointed (like WTF is the ML doing?). Then episode 5 happened where I paid all the respects back and apologised to the writer šāāļø
This drama is really very good and worth recommending.
I agree with you on the self hatred aspect.. I think it was more that the writer felt that moment had to happen…
I was surprised by this kid kill, but I think the reason for it was well explained - as Vicariously mentioned above.
I think it was a good choice by the writer. It shows that killing - no matter the reason - is wrong. Killing leaves no room for misjudgement and trying to correct one's mistake. It's just done, there is no going back. Another thing is how killing a person changes the one doing the killing. How by letting the demon in (or using the dark side of the force) you risk that it will overtake you. Like some old dude said "Don't practice what you don't want to become".
This drama would be quite good but I didn't like how the main issues were solved (my opinion about the ending…
This drama gave me a bit of "It's okay to not be okay" vibes with the FL's trauma plot. But by the end when it was revealed that her parents are alive this plot has lost most of it's value. In normal life I'd be happy to hear such news and that would be a huge relief for the FL, but here I felt like I've been tricked and spent my empathy and emotions on something that turned out to be false. I think such a significant writing decision should've been followed by further expanding it's consequences - like showing more of how the impact of this revelation affected the main couple's lives, showing the FL confrontation with her parents etc.
Another thing I didn't really like was how the ML's unrequited love issue has been handled. It seemed to be such a big issue for him at the beginning. Yet it has been suddenly fixed in around 2 minutes. I mean it's better than leaving it unsolved (like the brother who went to Santiago and never returned) but suddenly it felt very trivial compared to the first episode of this drama.
Be prepared that this movie is different from others.
This movie is VERY slow paced and you can easily fell asleep while watching it. There's a lot of long silent camera shots. Acting is very good. The direction, locations and shots are great. To be honest after the 1st half of it I was a bit lost, but the second half got me.
Just don't watch it if you're tired - you will fall asleep š
The story is well paced and realistic. The acting is also pretty good.
