That's the way its always described in my experience in cdramaland. 😅 even by the actors. so that is why I assumed that's what they meant. Dubbing is simply the replacement of the original audio dialogue in post production and that is what they do.(The og audio would be the actors saying their lines on set) It's dubbed over with new audio - it just also happens to be in the same language. ADR.

It's still technically dubbed there too. Almost all cdramas are dubbed in Mandarin. Sometimes dubbed over by the actors themselves and sometimes by voice actors. In this case, it's by voice actors. I'm not sure why for this one, as both the leads have dubbed themselves in other dramas. But it is what it is and you get used to it as it's the norm. (because of noise while filming, regional accents and dialects etc) So, I think that's what they mean.
WoF appeals to non-romance drama fans with its Buddhist-rooted heroism, explaining why it became the most-watched…
To be fair, romance was never included in any description, in any of the tags or in any of the promo. It was always marketed more as a male centred wuxia/Xuanxia adventure, so it wasn't false advertising in that regard.
I love romance too but don't feel it's a necessity for every drama. It seems the older an actor gets and the more secure they are in their career, the more they start doing other genres more often. LYX is 15 years into his career and pushing 40, so it makes sense that he's doing non-romance stuff now. It doesn't mean he'll never do romance ever again, but it might not be as often.
There is actually one decent one. (One that id say is a real proper kiss) And a couple of sweet chaste ones. (2) It is more leaning towards the emotional. but it doesnt impact the drama in a negative way imo
The synopsis reminds me a bit of Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Is it so?Also, there's no romance in this? I expected…
While the drama is not romance focused, there is at least some romance between the leads. Including at least a couple of kiss scenes based on bts and leaks.
Guys, how do i know if my Youku subscription is VIP or (if there is normal sub)?I can only watch up to eps 2.…
As far as I'm aware, subscribing to Youku automatically makes you able to watch VIP episodes I think. Those not subscribed would only get the free episodes. So, click the episodes that are listed as VIP and you should be able to watch them. However, normal VIP won't be able to watch the special VIP (they get one episode earlier) which is listed as TVOD. So you'll have to pay extra on top of your regular subscription to get that.
I believe the word you're looking for is UGLY!!!! And it ain't JUST the Costume that is UGLY!!!!
Are you alright? You've made a lot nasty comments about Bao Shang En's appearance on here. What's the deal? You sound like you got a personal grudge against this girl or something. (Whose done nothing but do her job) You sound petty.
I just have a question, if WoF is such a huge hit, then why it only shows 60K votes on Douban while something…
The Untamed came out nearly 7 years ago. That's over 6 years worth of ratings that has accumulated. WOF finished three weeks ago.
Will Whispers of Fate have as many ratings as The Untamed in 6 years? probably not. It''s fair to say it's may not be as massive as that drama has become. But the amount of ratings will continue to rise (and has continued to rise in the 3 weeks since it finished) It doesn't mean WOF wasn't successful. (I've seen this happen with lots of dramas) Douban has never been kind to LYX's dramas anyway.
Three Body is also nearly 3 years old, isn't an idol drama, and has a much wider appeal across demographics in China.
But something tells me that it doesn't really matter what anyone says, you've already made up your mind about it.
Why did his character sacrifice himself for the world and nobody was even aware of it YET AGAIN.😫😫😫😫😭😭😭😭😭I…
Something else of him remains too . Part of his essence in the heart guarding scale. Usually this would indicate a character may be reborn at some point with enough cultivation. In the novel his essence is saved in a similar way and after 1,000 years of Li Susu searching and waiting, the three of them are reunited. So many of us like to think that will eventually happen. They left that open for the audience to decide but it was hinted at in some clips they released after the drama ended.
TWO POINTS WHICH MAY JUSTIFY THE DRAMA'S LOW SCORES (MDL and Douban):1. Water Dragon's Roar? Where exactly is…
It was marketed as a fantasy from the beginning. The production coined it "Xuanxia" because it was combining fantasy, Xuanhuan and Xianxia elements with Wuxia. So it wasn't false advertising at all. They talked about this from literally the time of filming.
I actually found her pretty interesting. I didn't think they ruined her. But then I like complicated and imperfect characters. I thought Bao Shang En did a really good job.
A good option for a more light hearted c-drama would be Love is Sweet as it has the same leads, Luo Yunxi and…
Their chemistry is pretty hard to beat in my opinion! Love Is Sweet was filmed before TTEOTM but a lot of people like to watch it after TTEOTM because it's like medicine after the angst-fest

Fair enough if this one wasn't for you though!
You sound petty.
