Yes, it does seem like a lot. Episodes 34 and 35 will be the normal VIP/SVIP release. and if you choose to pay extra for the express package you will also get episodes 36-40. From what i'm seeing this is what everyone is saying in China too, that the 14th is the express package. But we shall see.

I believe it does say on the airing schedule. On the 14th it says to choose the viewing event for the path to the final/go straight to the finale. Which I assume is the Express package

A few reasons, I think. It aired earlier on Mango than originally scheduled so it ended up way ahead of the tv broadcast on Hunan Satellite TV so they may have dropped it down to 1 episode a day to catch up.

But also just to drag it out . The longer an airing schedule is, the more money they can get with advertising etc. That being said the express package will come out on the 14th. Three weeks of airing is fairly normal. TTEOTM was worse, it took over a month to finish with many days without any episodes haha.

I only use the term "alien" in a tongue in cheek way because that's how the production team explained it in a video they released explaining the story and lore. They literally used alien imagery. And LYX referred to him as an extraterrestrial haha. But what humans see as "gods" from other realms are generally also Celestial beings, as I said.

He's a celestial being from another realm. Essentially an alien is how they've described him. To people on Earth he could be considered a god or a god-like figure though.

TTEOTM actually opened with 6.2 but then was immediately downvoted. I expect the same thing to happen with SLY. Even if it's popular.

I think this isn't all that uncommon in fantasy dramas (Wuxia, Xuanhuan and Xianxia) I would say the costumes are more in line with Till The End Of The Moon as it's the same Costume designer. Huang Wei. She has a very distinct style.

There isnt one. The three female characters with the most prominent roles played by Bao Shang En, Chen Yao and Lin Yun are credited the same.

He didn't end up with anyone in the novel. The drama was actually finished before the novel was even completed. I get the feeling he won't end up with anyone in the drama romantically either. but I could be wrong.
