I think this isn't all that uncommon in fantasy dramas (Wuxia, Xuanhuan and Xianxia) I would say the costumes are more in line with Till The End Of The Moon as it's the same Costume designer. Huang Wei. She has a very distinct style.

Luo Yunxi is one of the most emotive actors i've ever seen. He's amazing. In most of the first episode, he's the future devil god. His coldness when she meets the past version is also explained. He's not a normal person, nor does he have normal emotions at the beginning. But you'll see all of that and more pretty quickly.

Yes. They age slower. She's not a human child. She's a demi goddess born of two immortals.
