There is actually one decent one. (One that id say is a real proper kiss) And a couple of sweet chaste ones. (2) It is more leaning towards the emotional. but it doesnt impact the drama in a negative way imo

While the drama is not romance focused, there is at least some romance between the leads. Including at least a couple of kiss scenes based on bts and leaks.

It happens to pretty much every drama. it'll drop when more ratings start coming in, then usually will rise again before settling on a final score.

As far as I'm aware, subscribing to Youku automatically makes you able to watch VIP episodes I think. Those not subscribed would only get the free episodes. So, click the episodes that are listed as VIP and you should be able to watch them. However, normal VIP won't be able to watch the special VIP (they get one episode earlier) which is listed as TVOD. So you'll have to pay extra on top of your regular subscription to get that.

The Untamed came out nearly 7 years ago. That's over 6 years worth of ratings that has accumulated. WOF finished three weeks ago.

Will Whispers of Fate have as many ratings as The Untamed in 6 years? probably not. It''s fair to say it's may not be as massive as that drama has become. But the amount of ratings will continue to rise (and has continued to rise in the 3 weeks since it finished) It doesn't mean WOF wasn't successful. (I've seen this happen with lots of dramas) Douban has never been kind to LYX's dramas anyway.

Three Body is also nearly 3 years old, isn't an idol drama, and has a much wider appeal across demographics in China.

But something tells me that it doesn't really matter what anyone says, you've already made up your mind about it.

It was marketed as a fantasy from the beginning. The production coined it "Xuanxia" because it was combining fantasy, Xuanhuan and Xianxia elements with Wuxia. So it wasn't false advertising at all. They talked about this from literally the time of filming.

I actually found her pretty interesting. I didn't think they ruined her. But then I like complicated and imperfect characters. I thought Bao Shang En did a really good job.

Their chemistry is pretty hard to beat in my opinion! Love Is Sweet was filmed before TTEOTM but a lot of people like to watch it after TTEOTM because it's like medicine after the angst-fest

A good option for a more light hearted c-drama would be Love is Sweet as it has the same leads, Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu.

Because playing villains is fun and gives actors an opportunity to do things that they would never get to do playing a hero or a good guy. Besides, this is a big production and definitely seems to be something many actors wanted to be a part of.

Not necessarily. These kinds of drama's and kinds of endings have their audience. If the drama is good or what they're interested in, these people will still watch regardless. (Some wont, especially if they are wanting something else from it and that's okay). There are lots of popular dramas with these kinds of endings. For example, Luo Yunxi's other drama Till the end of the moon had an ending that many considered a sad, albeit open ending, and its still insanely popular.

The versions on kisskh are pfrom the express package on mango. So the subs are awful.

But its one episode a day until finished for non-express. And on other platforms. With 35 out tonight on Mango, WeTv and Iqiyi. Viki might be a little delayed.
