She dubbed herself. I wouldn't call her voice childish or baby-like in this. Her character has had a very tough life so I think she's fairly mature from the beginning. I think it might be my favourite performance of hers to date. I think the drama is still very good, though perhaps a little weaker than the first half. When it comes to the ending...Don't know yet but let's just say I go into any drama with Liu Yuning expecting him to die.

I guess it's subjective. I thought it was brilliant and fast paced from the first two episodes and was hooked immediately. So whether it gets better or not will also be subjective and down to the individual. I've enjoyed it all the way through. The arc you're heading into is where the romantic element between the leads really builds (episodes 10-20) Among other important threads.

Maybe watch a few more episodes and see how you feel. It's possible this one isn't for you. ✌️

The novel is incomplete and only has 10 chapters. They used it as an outline for what basically became an original script. So we can't answer the question of when they get back together because we don't know for sure. But I'd say maybe between episodes 28-30 as a rough guess, but I may end up being wrong about that.

Yes, they've mentioned it since the beginning. He was poisoned by the bandits but was taking medication to suppress it. The witch doctor said he may have a way to cure it completely but then was murdered before he could do it, so now they're under the impression he doesn't have much time left. (Unless they somehow find another cure)

Oh boy that episode was a lot. That hurt.

And Kang Ju breaking down over the loss of the cure for Yan Zi Jing broke my heart. 😭

He was the male lead in A Journey To Love with Liu Shishi, also a very good drama.

I think it happens gradually, with each interaction they have. I think there was an attraction for the ML in some form from the beginning. But I think around episode 7 and 8 the sparks begin to build between them. By episode 11 onwards it's even stronger.

All 40 episodes will air together. The schedule just hasn't come out past that point yet. Lately Youku seems to release the schedules week by week.
