why did Yan zijing shoot Duan Wu? that scene was a little hard to watch/view because it was really dark. but from…
I guess I must have missed something or saw it differently. Otherwise he wouldn't have been so shocked by it when it hit her. He was literally crawling over to her in desperation, and if he didn't lose consciousness he would have gone to her right then. He didn't intend to leave her there on her own. Kang Ju made the decision while he was unconscious.
He was even going to go to her when Kang Ju found her afterwards but then stopped himself. It was then that he decided not to go after her, and not to tell her that the bandits had infiltrated the convoy, or clarify his reasoning when she confronted him because yes, he decided that he wanted to protect her, keep her from vengeance and was willing to let her believe that he had betrayed everyone. He was willing to let her hate him for that, especially as he knew he was dying etc. But I don't think he shot at her for this reason. I don't think in that split second moment LK shot at her, he was thinking about anything other than saving her life.
Kang Ju later told her that he shot at her not because he wanted to hurt her but because LK was already aimed at her and he had no choice in that split second. And then he tells her that he didn't want her to know that LK and the bandits were responsible for their deaths etc. Which is all true. I don't think he meant Yan Zijing made the decision to shoot for that reason, or that he decided to lie to her in that split second. (that decision came after). The second part was just explaining to her why he didn't tell her the truth about it, why he let her think the worst and why he treated her the way he did. I believe LYN mentioned all this in interviews and livestreams.

the black bandit leader tried to shoot her. Yan Zijing shot his arrow to divert the other arrow (Which was probably a kill shot) which it did, but YZJ's arrow still ended up hitting her in the shoulder. Duan Wu didn't see the other guy shoot so from her pov she just saw Yan Zijing shooting at her.
Can anyone let me know if there are plenty of romantic scenes?
As someone already said, it's not always the main focus of the drama. But there is actually a decent amount. The romance itself is good imo, and the chemistry between them in their scenes is present throughout the whole drama.
Did he stay with her till death? What happened to Kung Ju?? Such quick ending and so many questions??? Not happy…
That part is a little open ended. When he actually dies, whether he stayed, whether he left or whether she went with him after leaving the guild, to spend his remaining time together, is all kind of left up to the audience to decide.
They are clearly alive, cause the boy speaks in present tense, inviting the princess at his home where his parents…
I think some people saw that as a dream/vision or something, or Chu Yue being lead to her own afterlife. LYN seems to think they're dead, which he's said in livestreams. But that scene is admittedly ambiguous, so it does leave it up for the interpretation of the audience. Whatever you prefer!
Not yet. It only finished filming about two months ago. It's still in post production I believe. So it's probably got, at the very least, another 6 months (or more) before it airs.
On Ep 9 and finding it slow...Is it worth sticking around for the romance?
I think so. Episodes 10-20 is where the romance arc really builds and a lot happens here. The chemistry is great and it's a beautiful romance, if bittersweet.
That being said I didnt find episodes 1-9 that slow so it is going to be down to the individual. You may feel differently. But I do think the next arc picks up the pace (before slowing down for a time again. There are peaks and falls)
Give it a few more episodes and see how you feel. If not, it might not be for you.
I watched this ongoing. I still think about this drama. I had so much expectations from this one. But it wasn’t…
All of the data lists show that it did very well all throughout its run, and continues to even after the drama finished. Douban is notorious for being affected by water armies and fanwars. You need not look too far to see the excessive downvoting (1 star) is not normal. Douban is not always reliable for this reason. 😂
By this logic, Till the end of the moon, with a 5.6 rating was also a flop. When that drama was the third most watched cdrama of 2023 and a global success.
just started this today! although i don't find the ML attractive right now... maybe he will grow on me (it does…
Liu Yuning is very charismatic, and well....sexy. lol I've noticed he does seem to grow on people when watching his dramas for the first time. (then when they find out he sings many of their favourite drama OST's or watch his livestreams to discover he's also hilarious) He has an appeal that's sometimes hard to explain. But I think he's handsome.
He's a great actor and his chemistry with Lusi is great.
edit* and his character will probably grow on you too.
Well, it's a left a little bit open ended about when he dies, whether he left, or whether she does go with him, spending his remaining time with him. (I like to think she does, having left the guild) I guess they wanted to leave it up to the audience to decide on these things. But yeah, I think we can probably assume he does die sometime after it ends.
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
Yeah sort of. But not a deep one. Second male lead likes the female lead. She never feels the same way about him. Ultimately ML and SML end up being friends anyway.
Leads get together in episode 16/17. Though there are lots of great scenes before then. They "break up" (its complicated) in episode 19/20. They still interact with each other and have a push-pull dynamic but dont reconcile what happened until episode 29.
Is there a happy ending? Uh not really. Its OE/SE. (But the seeds were sown for this throughout the whole thing. Drama is still very worth it despite this)
I would say by episode 8 attraction and affection is already developing, imo. Most of their interactions at that…
I think its right to say his attraction to her started first.
I do think there was a certain degree of sexual tension between them from early on. But I think epsiode 7 and definitely ertain things that happen in episode 8 is where it really begins to show from her side.
Some shows I need mild spoilers to look forward to. Could anyone give me a hint when friendship, affection, or…
I would say by episode 8 attraction and affection is already developing, imo. Most of their interactions at that point gave off that tension for me personally. And this continues to develop even more in the episodes after that. (8-12) by episode 13 its definitely developed into feelings and by episode 16 and 17 they have both fully fallen for each other.

And I second the recommendation for A Journey to Love after TSOPG. Hes gorgeous and very good in that as well.
She did end up with Yan Zijing for a time. But it's not forever. I dont know how much you want spoiled in that regard
