I love how they made him stuttering in the drama - adds that element if being endearing that you see in the novel but they might not have had time to develop properly 🥰
As a novel reader (reread soooo many times) I actually see the benefit for a drama adaptation to change some of the plot points and so far don’t find it too jarring.
The thing that really bothers me though is…we should have at least TWICE this amount of episodes (or twice the duration). Only 36 episodes for a mere 30 min (if we take out opening and ending credits) is really too little to give the full story justice 😭
An army without funding from the court has its recruits eating fancy meals and sleeping on actual beds?😂 Is…
What fancy meals? Xiao Jue is the general so his meals are obviously different. The recruits eat flatbread - actually it’s so precious (because they don’t have anything fancier) that they use it for wager. The fancy meal after He Yan challenge was paid for entirely by Chen Lisu…
I don’t get it. Why did the ML order her killed at first then goes on to pretend in the dessert?
I think it’s not necessarily the ML that ordered them killed. In one of the conversations about the Boa Agents he mentions something about an enemy in Tiandou. This is the same one that sent spies they killed when they were in the inn. Also the ML was attacked in the desert and it was not the other city lord. I see it going in the direction of a misunderstanding rather than true enemies.
The FL is awesome! I feel this year we’ve had more and more good female roles, in The Double and Are You The One and now here! Smart, cunning and driven, we like!
And yes to suspension of disbelief to enjoy the show in general 😂
