I love how they make fun of clichés in dramas, like when the FL explains why she is living with her boss and her mother answers : "it's like a soap opera".
Episodes 23 and 24 were the absolute pits...I can take some cringe but this was too much even for me 😭😔..what's…
The genre is comedy first, in the category. Maybe that's why?
But yeah, the writer and director chose how to adapt the novel. And to direct the FL. I mean, I saw her in another drama and she wasn't acting this way, meaning that she was probably instructed to act naively, with her facial expressions and even the way she walks.
It's not a legal drama. The tags for this drama are slow burn romance first, then workplace setting and work place romance. No mention of legal drama. That's why, I think, some issues are adressed, via their cases, but that's not the main plot.
Maybe because that reflects reality in China? I don't know. I think that despite this drama being a light rom-com, there are some issues adressed in it.
Like, the drama started with the FL and her colleagues being used as... hostesses by their employer, before they quit.
Or the FL being attacked by a client. How many times does that happen to women, in China, and in other countries too, but especially in China? Do women dare to sue there? I don't know. Maybe this drama is adressing the problems in the society.
May be doesn't know how to do things after kiss as well🤣😂I don't know why writers are so obsessed with making…
I'm not saying he was blind to women, just that he is the kind of character to be intensely focused on succeeding and that demands time, energy and hard work. It's very consuming.
He might have had a relationship while in college, one that failed because he was working all the time. The drama is not over.
But this character doesn't look like the kind to date a lot, that's all.

I don't know if it's true but I read that in China, relationships, dating in high school is forbidden, or at least a big no no.
So I think the ML never dated in high school. Then his parents were against him becoming a laywer so I bet he had to work extra-hard in college and then once out of college. He said he was so poor when he started working that he had only one suit.
It looks like that between his parents being against his career choice, working like crazy in college and post-college and even his mentor being against him, he had to work even more than other students.
So him being a puppy in love is probably because it's the first time he has someone in his life he is interested in and he is at a point in his career where he can afford to take time to date because his company is thriving and he has made a name for himself in his profession.
For the past month I am seeing this rating issue too much....so I don't believe the ratings instead I go through…
Same, it's been a few months now that I have noticed the same thing. But it's like it's getting worse now.
A show is barely starting and either the ratings are high as the sky or low as with "My boss" (and I say that as someone who doesn't particularly like this drama but it's not bad, well executed, well acted, it's just a fun rom-com and there's a large public for that kind of drama).
On MDL, the rule should be that people can only rate dramas when they are over. Between people downvoting a drama because of some fandom s****, or hating on the main actor, or main actress, and vice versa, idols dramas have huge fandoms which upvote dramas like crazy.
Nowadays, either wait until the drama is over and read the reviews, or turn a blind eye to the rating and go to the comments if the drama is airing and you wonder whether or not to watch it. Comments will give you an idea if the drama is for you or not.
you could watch reset or a time called you (i'd suggest the taiwanese version)reset has the same vibe, but it's…
Some dramas are overrated. Especially on MDL, where idol actors's dramas tend to have higher ratings. I didn't pay attention to that before but those last months have been really eye opening. When a drama like "Parallel World" doesn't get a 9 here? Yeah, big sign that there's something wrong.
There are plenty of dramas I don't really like, even though I aknowledge that they are good in every aspect, just that they aren't my cup of tea.
I love sci-fi, and I love paranormal love stories. Reset should have been on my top 10, since I watched every drama with time travel, parallel worlds, and all that stuff. I found the principle of Reset (there wad an hilarious "Stargate" time loop episode!) interesting on paper, but boring to watch.
And what about when the FL attacked him from behind with a brick? I suppose people still watch it and come up with :"WELL WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN HER SHOES?? SHE IS TORMENTED AND WANTED SO MUCH TO GO BACK HOME BLAH BLAH BLAH" as an excuse.
The double standard is incredible. At least, hate equally when the characters do the same bad things.
I understand your point and even tried to think from "she knows him since they were young" angle, but it is stil…
Gotta love how when the FL is violent with him, it's completly swept under the rug for the "I hate the ML" crowd after episode 7. I suppose the FL attacking the ML from behind with a brick and injuring him is okay because she wanted to go back home with the guy who had lied to her/betrayed her in the fake 2025 life.

Reset gets boring after a while, since it's always the same day repeating. It's a "variation on the same theme" drama. The middle of it is boring, plain and simple. Good thing that it was a short drama. And the ending was so-so.
I just watched put your head on my shoulder. I was thinking about watching this next but now that I see the leads…
PYHOMS was my first modern Cdrama. So I couldn't watch MLH. It took me months before I decided to give it a try. I have to say that the ML really improved from PYHOMS, the character he plays is so different from the one in PYHOMS that it's easy to forget he was in both dramas.
For real, if you want a light rom-com a la PYHOMS, then MLH is for you. The second couple is okay, even though the SFL is a bit childish and the drama production team didn't do her any favor by having her wear the same lame clothes the whole time. Plus have the same hair style.
Apart from that, as another poster said, MLH is like a confort drama.
