the last part helped me understand the drama more, I didn't expect the title to be this meaningful and only thought of it as simply 'the big dream returns' and had my own interpretation for it instead. However, I had always wondered what the '离' (leave) character honestly stood for in the whole meaning of the title...I've searched and found no one sharing about it until I came across your explanation on it! thanks for sharing it here, hopefully more people sees your review as this piece of information is really helpful 💖

that would've been perfect actually! the cast singing their own osts live, i'd be all sat for that because the osts in here are really pretty✨️! meanwhile, I was hoping they'd get an exclusive variety show for themselves, like how the SOKP did 🥺...yeah they are all busy with other work now!

The romance aspect isn't heavily the sole focus of this drama, it is balanced with the other themes which the storyline explores. We do get quite a number of scenes of the leads together in episodes but it isn't to the point of being totally maxed out. The trope leans more to slow burn romance, subtle start with playful banters, bold flirty remarks and heartfelt conversations ; there is emotional depth to them. In terms of chemistry, Neo and Dudu do have an electrifying type of chemistry together despite the lack of intimate skinships. The leads do profess their love for each other by the second half of the story but it is done in a way curated for the both of them only. Plus they give off old married couple vibes.

While the romance does exist in this drama, there are also BL/GL elements inserted. So, if you are into such you might end up enjoying this one. All casts have chemistry towards each other at some point.

exactly, it's quite ridiculous! i know they added bl/gl elements in this drama aside from romance between leads itself, but honestly these details of the scenes between the romance of the leads wouldn't even have hurt or affect that bl/gl aspect though....

I noticed how abrupt that scene was cut and the blood on wx mouth all of a sudden seemed out of place. Them cutting a part of their scenes out was totally unnecessary, their scenes wasn't even that long to begin with so makes me wonder why they are stripping the details in their scenes to such extent (censorship ain't even an excuse atp because we got Bai Jiu's scene at the end). Doesn't make sense at all.

true, this years xianxia lacked a lot💔 thankfully we got FOF at least! but I wanted more 🥺
