It seems that some are finding the background story of Lord Bingyi and Bingyi clan draggy, a filler or unnecessary. I completely disagree, imo they are as important as Lord Yinglong's background story, all of these informations we have seen today are essential to the storyline. This drama after all takes inspiration from Chinese Mythology (Classics of mountains and seas), and if you have read some facts written in the classics about Lord Bingyi and Yinglong then you will understand that they have a connection. Without these scenes we wouldn't be able to have full grasp of what the storyline is trying to depict and would be lost in a puzzle.

I don't think so. IMO his character is one of the most important in FOF, after seeing the message that the storyline is trying to deliver. It also seems that his fate and Zhu Yan's fate are both deeply interconnected. We will probably get more of him in latter episodes.

I agree. It's exactly because his will to kill ZYZ now have completely disappeared. Also, when ZYZ was explaining about the cloud sword to WX, he stated that it 'empathizes' with its owner or it could also be a sign that the malicious energy or evil ZYZ inside ZYZ is getting even more powerful.

Maybe it just happened that they filmed Neo's scenes as Yinglong and Dudu's scenes as demon wenxiao on the same day because according to chinese mythology, Nuwa is a major goddess not a demon. Although, it would be interesting if that would be the case.

Here are the details I have managed to pick up from Episode 24 about Lord Bingyi & Lord Yinglong plus Bingyi Clan. I have also briefly added some explanation about Nuwa, Gonggong and Zhuan Xu

The Cloud Light Sword
- Is created from the bones and soul of Ying Long.
- It is a weapon that can only be awakened when it senses that the Bingyi Clan member using it is the strongest (so Zhou Yichen is extremely strong, considering how his brother is already really strong but still failed to awaken the sword).
- It is a 'fate weapon' which according to Zhu Yan's explanation, the life of the Bingyi Clan member is interconnected with it. So now that it is broken, Zhou Yichen's life is slowly deteriorating.
- The Cloud Light Sword is truly a powerful weapon aside from it being able to kill Ying Long and the key to killing Zhu Yan, it is also the key in separating Li Lun's inner core from Bai Jiu.
- However, Zhu Yan's evil form is currently much more powerful than the cloud light sword as he was able to crack it, therefore, weakening Zhou Yichen's state and being broken by Li Lun.
- Although it is broken, it can also be repaired according to Li Lun.

The Five Colored Stone
- A sacred object of Bingyi Clan which has been passed down to their generations.
- It can be used to repair the Cloud Light Sword and it would also immediately appear whenever it detects that the sword is broken.
- It was an object used by Nuwa to repair the sky and it is currently the last stone left.
- It contains the last blood of Lord Bingyi.

Lord Bing Yi
- A river deity who was worshipped and seen as a god because he killed many demons according to Zhu Yan.
- His true identity is a great demon whose responsibility is also to guard the wilderness like Zhu Yan and Li Lun in the past.
- He used to fight together with Ying Long against Gonggong and Zhuanxu who started the Great War in Mount Buzhou.
- He killed Ying Long who started to cause havoc after the Great War
- After Yinglong's death, he wished to become a mortal and live a reclusive life
- Nuwa recognized Bingyi's great contribution by defeating Ying Long, so she fulfilled his wish and turned him into a human
- Nuwa appreciated Bingyi's powers so she decided to keep it inside the five colored stone to preserve it
- The whole Bingyi clan is said to be human
- Bingyi's demonic blood could kill Zhou Yichen as he doesn't have an inner core which demons are supposed to have, however, the case proves to be different for Zhou Yichen seeing how the last scene turned out, it seems he possesses an inner core. Now on where he got that inner core seems to prove only at one thing, he is the reincarnation of Lord Bingyi.

Nuwa
- known as a mother goddess which is considered as a major goddess as she has the ability to create and repair the sky/heaven/world

Gonggong
- a water god who is known for being destructive and the reason for various cosmic catastrophes

Zhuan Xu
- he is also called as High Brilliance
- he is one of the five emperors

The Great War At Mount Buzhou
- The reason why this war happened is because of the fight between Gonggong and Zhuan Xu
- They were both fighting for the throne of the empire
- Their battle caused the universe to lose its balance

The story about Lord Bing Yi and Lord Ying Long is so fascinating. The amount of epic scenes in Fangs of Fortune has now become uncountable I guess.

Lester Lin's portrayal of Li Lun is so convincing, he really captured Li Lun's way of speaking and expression. I can't wait for him to grow up and become a male lead in cdramas soon, he is definitely gifted at acting. On the other hand, I think Tian Jia Rui shined in this episode, as much as I loved his portrayal of Gong Yuan Zhi in MJTY. Now, I am definitely leaning more into his portrayal of Zhou Yichen & Lord Bing Yi. We got to see a new side of him through his current portrayal of these two characters here in FOF alone. I just wanna add that him as Lord Bing Yi is extremely gorgeous, whoever styled him deserves a salary raise because he really looked like a river deity.

Although I don't really like Li Lun as a character that much, I kind of pity him. Zhu Yan is absolutely right about everything he said to Li Lun. Li Lun brought all of the current pain and tragedy he is experiencing right now to himself. If only he could stop being so driven about the hatred in his heart and being extremely stubborn too. However, after hearing Zhu Yan's words to Wen Xiao about loneliness actually being the reason why some people become independent, other than this statement being applicable to Zhou Yichen and Zhu Yan, I think it is also applicable for Li Lun too. And by the time he does decide to turn into a new leaf, I fear it will be too late for him and he will die in complete loneliness. His character is surely headed for a painful end.

Ying Lei on the other hand deserves so much appreciation for how caring of a character he is, he would always go through great lengths for his friends, he would absolutely be willing to do anything. I am glad to see that Pei Si Jing and Wen Xiao comforting and expressing their worry about him, Zhu Yan too.

Now, my only complain is having to be left in a total cliffhanger. They really want us to suffer with one episode.

it wasn't stated but my speculation is that it's Cheng Huangs since he has been using that artifact and he was also one of the baize token holders in the past...other than that maybe the first original baize goddess which would make much more sense.

All of these are just dramas for entertainment purposes, it's not like we're in a competition so there is absolutely no need to compare. People have different preferences too, why bother about which drama is doing more, it's a complete waste of time. Just watch the drama you like and be at peace ✌️

Basing from the preview for episode 24, it seems we might be getting more background between the history of Lord Bingyi and Lord Yinglong.

Zhou Yichen is the reincarnation of his ancestor Lord Bingyi and Zhao Yuanzhou the reincarnation of Lord Yinglong. They both are also currently sharing the same tragic fate they did in their past lives.

In earlier episodes, it was said that the cloud sword was forged from the horns of Yinglong, however, when Zhu Yan used his power to allow Zhou Yichen to see the past sword technique method of Lord Bingyi it was shown how the sword that Lord Bingyi used in that scene itself is the exact same cloud sword which Zhou Yichen has. In addition to that is the short clip included in the mv where Lord Bingyi used that exact same cloud sword to point towards Lord Yinglong. So, the cloud sword has long existed even before Yinglong died. It was not made from his horns. In short, the actual history between the two of them seems to have long been twisted and Lord Yinglong whom they considered as the evilest have been misunderstood the same way Zhu Yan was.

It also seems that the cloud sword most likely contained some fragments of Lord Bingyi's powers or soul. When it broke, he was awakened in Zhou Yichen's body. I have read a theory before that said Lord Bingyi and Lord Yinglong used to be friends, because Lord Yinglong was a rain dragon while Lord Bingyi is a river deity. However, I also read about them being enemies (as stated in the classics) but with how the storyline is going and if they really turned out to be the reincarnation, the theory about their friendship in the past seems to be more accurate.

So basically, since they are the reincarnation of each lords, history is repeating itself.

okay um let me put it this way, let's say Wen Xiao is 20 years old at present, then when she entered the sundial she can be considered as an immortal already because her age inside that sundial stopped at 20, which is why we see her never aging when 300 years passed. So yes, time didn't flow for her it stopped and the realm or world she entered is a 'memory' of the divine wood/branch/tree growing for 300 years....hahah hope this helps!

FL characters always tends to get criticize the most, especially when it comes to male centric written c-dramas. Often times, the reason is due to c-drama scriptwriters/directors having the tendency to downplay or instantly resort to making them merely a damsel in distress, this is all to give spotlight to the ML's character. I dislike it when they do that but it's really a pattern in c-dramas. The only time a FL's character can get to shine is if they are in a female-centric drama or were given physical strength or some godly powers (more powerful than ML's power), however, even if this is the case, most of the time their characters will still be sabotaged by these scriptwriters/directors as there are cases of them going from strong in the beginning to weakening for the purpose of having the ML character be the knight in shining armor.

However, I think Wen Xiao is one of those few well-written FL characters in a male centric c-drama. Her character isn't completely done dirty by the directors but was written in a way that gives balance to how powerful the ML character was written, so in a sense, she was still allowed to shine in her own ways without having to be completely overshadowed by how powerful the ML's character was written. So, I never had any problems with her character to begin with because I for one myself, favor strong FL characters too. Like we do get some scenes where she is weak and ML saves her, but we also do get scenes wherein she shows her strength ; like how she dealt with Li Lun when she got kidnapped and snatched his rattle to the current her going all out to save ML.

Some people's definition of 'strength' plays a part on how they see the FL character as well. Often, for some this word is only and can be attributed to ML or male characters so they can never see FL or female characters being associated with this word. While some simply define the word 'strength' to be constricted to only two physical traits which are fighting skills and power. When in fact, strength has a broader trait attribute that can be associated with it, like mental strength. This is the type of strength Wen Xiao possess, because of her cleverness she is able to strategize and fool the enemy. It's like when you go to war, you don't see soldiers blindly going to the fight without being prepared. There is always someone behind the scenes that deals with the planning and strategy, and depending on how well or better their strategy is compared to their enemies, then they are more likely to be the winning side. So, Wen Xiao's character contribution to the demon hunting team is very similar to this.

But, at the end of the day it all actually still boils down on whether people can actually put themselves in her shoes regardless of these points mentioned because whether FL character does something or not, they'll still be bound for criticisms.
