Shinwoo getting upper hand now LETS GOO!!!!! I also really admire him for knowing his place and letting things…
next week is gonna heal our broken hearts! Tae Kyung needs some love and Shinwoo is the man for stepping up and being such a supportive system for Tae Kyung. Shinwoo is such a sweetheart and I'm so happy that Shinwoo is FINALLY gonna act and step up. Shinwoo deserves someone like Tae Kyung and seeing them slowly get together is gonna be like catnip for us! ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ

I think he did/ does have something for Taekyung but due to being judged he backs out. That comment about only…
exactly. I think Da On care's what too much about personal appearances and sacrificed a potential relationship and even friendship with Tae Kyung to protect himself which is horrible.

Definitely the saddest episode so far☹️ I was hoping So Hee would be redeemed as a character. But, she is…
Literally this whole post was me! Honestly Shinwoo and Nam Goong deserve mad respect this episode. Da On seriously needed to at the very least communicate what he REALLY felt to Tae Kyung, that was the LEAST thing he could have done. I think Tae Kyung deserved that and he never even got an explanation which is even worse.

Yeah :( it's gonna suck and hit even harder for Shinwoo after what he went through but he's super supportive and I knew from the get go that he was a better choice for a partner so I know he'll set up but it's such a shame that Da On chose to protect himself rather than his friends, even if he didn't feel the same.

it's such a shame, if only Da On had been a bit more courageous and at the VERY LEAST stood up for Tae Kyung even if he didn't feel the same way or wasn't sure. He could at the very least say "hey there's nothing wrong with being gay" to those 2 guys. I was expecting at least THAT but it seems Da on was too scared and cared too much about his image.

This episode was interesting to say the least, sad, but interesting. Most of my predictions were correct but man Da On, I was not expecting that completely. Same with So Hee, I was not expecting her to just spread the video/image around like that to prove a point. I thought she would hold on to it to PROTECT Da On's image not ruin it to prove a point and hurt Tae Kyung like that. Having his option to come out like that taken away is just monstrous and I feel horrible for Tae Kyung since he's seems really hurt in the preview for next week. I feel bad, like super bad since Tae Kyung never got a choice to even have a proper response from Da On and the way he was outed is just disgusting on So Hee's part. I feel like Shinwoo is definitely gonna relate since he was outed too based on what Da On's 2 friends said so it's gonna hit him so hard and I feel like he will really set up to help Tae Kyung. Tae Kyung needs someone like that, friend or not, he needs someone who can stand behind him all the way and support him and his sexuality.

PROPS TO NAMGOONG. He deserves major praise for standing up again So Hee and not saying word and respecting people's privacy. This guy is honestly so mature and deserves mad respect for how he handles things, but man So Hee needs a nice slap to the face for going down this route.

It sucks to see that Korea is still super homophobic so this is very realistic but man I feel so horrible for Tae Kyung since he was being honest and finally opened to a person and was hurt and betrayed like that. I'm not saying Da On is 100% to blame, it's mostly So Hee, but the way he could have handled things could have made this 100% different. It's such a shame that this is common and happens but SHINWOO IS GONNA STEP UP TO THE PLATE <3 it's time for Shinwoo to shine and I feel like he was ALWAYS a better choice for a partner for Tae Kyung. I'm dying for next week :( TT__TT

I feel so bad for Tae Kyung. I think what he's gonna go through next episode is something that Shinwoo went through too based on what those 2 buys said to Da On so it's really gonna hit hard to the both of them. I knew something like this was gonna happen but it totally sucks seeing it.

I have no clue but I'm in love with each episode's music.
haha it's fine too! The new music they picked is good too but I prefer the song "between the bars" since it fit better. I even made a post about it way down below. If you watch the episode on some websites it has the old song but on others it's the new Korean song so I have no idea hahaha

Shinwoo reminds me so much of Junghwan from Reply 1988 that its crazy. Both amazing characters.
Yeah completely agree with what you said about Da On and Sohee. Da On needs to be his own person for it to work out with Tae Kyung since Tae Kyung is a very strong, emotionally independent person whereas Da On is emotionally dependent on people's validation of his existence and acceptance so pouring that into the mix of romantic feelings would be a horrible concoction if Da On and Tae Kyung were to go out.

oh for sure! That type of thinking is rooted in his childhood so he needs to change for the long run and it's gonna be a long process but I hope at the very least that Tae Kyung and his feelings will wake up Da On if they don't end up together at least it will help Da On grow as a person and hopefully change for the better!

I can see it going that way and it seems to be going there. I sort of guessed this last week but Da On would do anything to protect his false image, not that he's selfish but that's all he knows since he can't express things that are more difficult due to do neglect.

Shinwoo really stepped up his game this episode and proved how much more complex and mature he is as a character and person. He really stole the show for me this ep. I'm starting to get to psychoanalysis/psychiatrist on this show it's making ME stressed :P

I totally agree. Da On express kindness but you don't know what type. Is he being kind because he loves so and so or is he just being kind because he see so and so as a friend? That's exactly what Tae Kyung was questioning to Da On. Da On responding by saying "I see you as a brother" is horribly misleading and dishonest so he would 100% end up hurting Tae Kyung if they were to go out. Shinwoo is honest, even with his discomfort towards Tae Kyung, he told Tae Kyung up front to his face and didn't really hide his discomfort of Tae Kyung. Shinwoo shows his feelings when it counts and when he wants to express something deeper whereas Da On just express basic universal emotions that anyone can interpret any way which isn't good for more intimate relationships especially for someone like Tae Kyung since he wants things out on the table from the get go so to speak.

EP9 had two of my favourite scenes so far, one being Namgoong's impromptu rooftop therapy session, the other the…
I couldn't agree more! I really like Da On as a character since we can see how emotionally scarred and confused he is since he doesn't KNOW how to emotionally separate things or know how to express more complex emotions which is WHY he generalizes things and how he treats people is the same since that's all he knows. I don't hate any character in this series really besides So hee and I don't really HATE her. I just think she's so desperate chasing after Da On for so long that she'd turning to her ugly emotions that she's had locked up for so long that she seems to be turning into a horrible person. When she's with Namgoong she's genuine and I think he'd do her some good. I have to admit that both Shinwoo and Da On have shown interesting sides this episode and Shinwoo has to take the cake for me. He put aside everything for Da On and Tae Kyung and knows how to be selfless. Da On doesn't really understand the concept of selfless for OTHER people. He's selfless for himself (acting selfless and being 'kind' to protect his image of what other people see him as since that's all he knows). I'm not saying Da On is selfish, just that he doesn't know how to be completely genuine with himself and others which in the end would greatly hurt Tae Kyung if they end up together even briefly and seems to be already happening based on the preview. Tae Kyung seemed hurt for not getting a clear cut answer in the preview and seems to be hurt. I'm not angry either, just super sad for Da On and Shinwoo. I don't think Da On is completely empty, just so scared that he doesn't know how to express complicated emotions so he just avoids such powerful emotions and acts universally the same to everyone which again is a double edge sword since he's both misleading Tae Kyung and giving him false hope when Da On himself isn't sure of what he wants.

Overall Shinwoo has shown the most self improvement and character development so far and I'm really rooting for him

After reading the comments, I'm afraid to watch the episode and be disappointed in DaOn
no just give it a go! It's good to see how Da On is like as a character plus it puts thing into perspective for us as the audience to see who TK will choose as a partner/boyfriend in the end. The main point is to have fun with the series!
