The question of money and the phone etc definitely don't make sense. I also didn't buy that Ji Hoon would be so…
honestly this is pretty good and if you're looking for something like this series (time travel mixed with death of a loved one) you should check out "Seasons of Blossoms" (this is between a heterosexual couple though). Enjoy!

I completely agree. Although some things don't make sense in terms of time travel, i.e. how did he have money…
yeah I completely agree. I have no idea what went wrong with season 2 but it was a complete mess. "Blueming" was so good too and I had no idea that it was the same director for both but clearly the writing went down the drain for season 2 of "To My Star". Not sure what on earth happened but either way let's hope this show doesn't have a poor ending.

yup and it's a way for him to get his feelings across since he was holding onto it for so long and I guess in a sense literally crossed time to show JH his feelings. TT^TT it makes it that much more sad :(

Yeah it was odd but I think that the extra airtime had room for the series to breath and they took the time to really explore young relationships and "coming out" for the gay community. It was such a nice way to explain and show how difficult it is to comes to terms with your sexuality. Although the story wasn't original and at times it could be slow with the plot it was sweet and endearing. Not to mention the budget for 'Light On Me" was much more than usual BL's so it was VERY nice to watch. "To my Star" season 2 was honestly a huge blow in the stomach for me. The plot didn't make much sense and it felt light a huge let down since the motivations for their break up didn't make much sense and it wasn't as interesting as season 1. Not to mention the reason for his PTSD towards glass breaking was REALLY sloppy writing and freaking disappointing to find out and we didn't get much character backgrounds or childhood histories at all so it was a huge disappointment for me.

TT^TT it's gonna hurt soooo bad but JW needs closure and I think this is what he needed. Hopefully we get a bitter sweet ending that wraps the story well.

yeah personally I think "WYEL" started this whole BL wave in Korea and "Light on me" was pretty popular overseas. I loved it personally not to mention it's one of the few Korean BL with 30 minute episodes that was more than 10 episodes so that was a shock for a lot of people. I REALLY hope that 30 minutes becomes the new norm but I'm happy with 24 minutes for now :D

yeah most likely this is gonna stick to the normal time travel rules that what happens CAN'T be changed. I'm just reaching for straws since I didn't expect to like this as much as I do and I want them to have some sort of happy ending but I think this is kinda like the show that's currently airing called "Seasons Of Blossom" regarding how if someone dies they're dead. Both this show and "Seasons of Blossom" I think are trying to show the message of healing and moving on and coming to terms with the death of loved one so I'm not expecting a happy ending for this show. Although it will be bittersweet hopefully JW can get some closure for JH's death. TT^TT

it would have been hard since the criminal guy even said that the police doesn't even know. He would need proof…

ohh yeah that makes MUCH more sense. I was super confused but if any changes occurred it would have to be from his 10 year old self. It makes me wonder if the ONLY way for JH to live is if JW 10 year old self MUST die or if they somehow manage to stop the kidnapper but I don't think we're getting a happy ending with this. Thanks for clearing that up :P

yeah those product placements are sooo awkward and waste time but it would be nice is Korean BL were given more budget and airtime since they've proven that they can make some great BL like "Where you eyes linger" and "Light on me" that have great story and a bit more budget. "To my start" Season 1 was fantastic too so Korea can do it, they just need the budget and airtime to make some great stuff. "Semantic error" was fantastic too.

haha that's what I was hoping for too. Based on the preview it looks like something steamy MIGHT happen since they're both snuggling on the bed and JH kissed JW at the end of ep 6 and said he'll come to him now so fingers crossed before everything turns to shit. XD

I have to admit with Thai BL's they have unusually long air times but they fiddle SO MUCH with side characters that it gets annoying to some point. But I've seen my share share of J- BLS and they aren't bad but something about Korean BL hits it better for me in terms of more interesting stories and better plots. I haven't seen "Old fashioned cupcake" yet since it wasn't for me but I totally understand about Thai BL that waste time. There's only a handful of Thai BL that are ACTUALLY good that doesn't waste time I've seen a WHOLE TON of BL from Thai, Korean, Japanese and even Taiwan/China that I have to say that the Thai ones have some really overused/boring plots with long airtimes that mess with the plot so badly that it's getting a bit boring for me. But honestly Korean BL need a few more episodes to increase airtime but I'm much happier now that the new standard for Korean BL are 8-10 24 minute episodes instead of 10 minutes which they used to be. Fingers crossed that for 2023 they start increasing the airtime to 30 minutes like with "Light On Me". Overall I'm happy with the progress though.

hahah honestly it's hard to tell since there's a lot about this show that doesn't make sense for the time travel thing but for the sake of the plot I'm not really focused on it since the story and acting are killing it and it's awesome that it can be easily ignored but that's a GREAT theory if they chose to have an ending that could have JH survive and live to catch the kidnapper.

Loved episode 5-6. I loved how their feelings built up to the climax and JH FINALLY understanding JW's purpose for approaching him. The build up is fantastic and I have to say this is a hidden gem of BL. I personally think this is a fantastic way to end 2022 for the BL community. I can't wait for next week and I love how this show doesn't waste time getting down to the story. This show doesn't waste time and get's right down to the important plot points but I just wished it was a bit longer to explain some weird edits and cuts in the recent episodes. Also JW didn't have his scar on his forearm from trying to kill the kidnapper in the beginning of the show in the present time so something isn't adding up so maybe his fate and JW's fate has changed but then again it might not. I could have missed it in the beginning but shouldn't JW already have a scar on his hand/forearm from the start of the show? Did I miss something? Something seems off.

I hope the ending we get is that they manage to get the kidnapper and JH survives but because his fate changes he or anyone around him doesn't remember so their memories get erased. In JW's current time they could meet and bump into each other which would still fit with the title of the series. But then again this is just a fan theory for a wishful happy ending which we probably won't get. I could be thinking/reading too much into it, but the female owner of the student housing seems to be some sort of deity/time god since she was the one who allowed him in the room and seemed to be the only one to remember him and her voice was narrating the recent episode I think 6? Not to mention she told him of the demolished date for the complex which is 30 days (Jan 30) so he's on a timeline which she gave him.... something interesting is going on with her. Any thoughts?

This can have a happy ending if JH survives then he waits for JW to turn 25 to date him and by that time JH would…
yeah I was thinking that something like that might happen. Like maybe somehow they manage to get the kidnapper but then JH survives BUT since he did and his fate changed he totally forgets JW due to the alternative timeline and when they both grow old bumped into each other in JW timeline. It would be interesting but knowing this type of BL and trop I don't think it's going to happen. JW didn't have his scar on his forearm from trying to kill the kidnapper in the beginning of the show so something isn't adding up so maybe his fate has changed but then again it might not. I could have missed it in the beginning but shouldn't JW already have a scar on his hand?

It's definitely the acting for me that carries the series. This is one of the better Korean BL's to end 2022 with.

For me, this is a fairy tale, a very beautiful one, and fairy tales don't need to be logical, so I don't care…
Completely agree. I think that strong desire to save your loved one really is the driving point of this series and the acting drives it home for me.
