The 5th piece of the yin iron was the sword that Wei Wuxian pulled out of the tortoise in that cave, so that is how he ended up with it. Later on when he got thrown down into the Burial Mounds, he basically crafted the Stygian Tiger Amulet from the dark energy of the yin iron sword.
I have a doubt which I hope someone can clear.. How did wwx end up with yin iron? As I had skipped a lot from…
According to your previous comment you seemed to enjoy the latter half of the drama (post flashback). I highly recommend you do a rewatch, this time without skipping, because although the latter half contains more sweet stuff, the former half is crucial to understanding the development of the deeper plot. I am hesitant to answer your question because it can be answered by watching the whole thing and not skipping. But I will include the answer in a spoiler comment below.
Omfg this is so hilarious I regret not starting this earlier. I love the two dads! Their interactions are so hilarious lol. Such phenomenal acting by main cast
I swear to MXTX I find out something new about The Untamed every day... I was today years old when I learned: - In ep 18 when Wei Wuxian found Song Lan with injured eyes, Song Lan said Xiao Xingchen took him to Baoshan Sanren to get them healed. That is probably also how Wei Wuxian got inspiration for the fake story to convince Jiang Cheng that he knew how to restore his golden core. What's amazing is that back then Wei Wuxian did not know it was Xiao Xingchen who gave his eyes to Song Lan, yet there he was, giving his golden core to Jiang Cheng. What a magnificent parallel *claps once again for The Untamed* - In ep 43 snow scene there is a specific shot of Wei Wuxian standing outside in the snow and Lan Wangji standing under the roof in the shadows. Such beautiful yinyang imagery here that I did not catch until now
In short, The Untamed is filled with so many details that even someone like me who has followed it for so long is still discovering new revelations about it.
Sorry for long wall of text, but I felt like I had a reasonable answer lol. All opinions, not trying to convince…
Hahaha glad I was able to give you a new perspective to see it from! Yes, enjoy your rewatches. I don't exactly remember my initial reaction to ep 50, but I can definitely say that my reasoning all came from discussions with others and rewatches, I did not have the capability to understand it all right off the bat either. That's what makes this drama so beautiful, there are many nuances that await you to discover and reason on your own, and interpretations can be subjective without them being right or wrong!
After skipping a lot I got myself to ep 43 and I just can't see myself finishing it. The only thing I like about…
After skipping a lot and getting to 43 I would say was not a good use of your time. I replied to other similar comments before by saying that I don't believe ANY one drama is the "gateway" into the world of anything. Yes there are genres that certain dramas fall into, but none should be taken as the "gateway" or "starter pack" or "introduction" to any particular genre. When you encounter a drama you don't like just simply find another one. I wholeheartedly disagree with your statement about only Koreans taking acting seriously though. But that's another debate (:
My only pet peeve: Does anyone believe that Lan Zhan would willingly separate from Wei Ying after 16 years of…
Sorry for long wall of text, but I felt like I had a reasonable answer lol. All opinions, not trying to convince you or anything.
No but also yes. If you watch the special edition version you will see that they gave a more "definitive" ending. I personally thought this ending in the drama was the best decision and probably the most beautiful ending to a drama I have seen. Bold statement lol Your question of would Lan Wangji be willing to separate from Wei Wuxian I actually think yes, IF that is what Wei Wuxian wants and what Lan Wangji believes would be the best for them. Of course everything is up to subjective interpretation (another reason why the ending is amazing), but here's my reasoning: - Wei Wuxian is a free spirit, he is not one that likes to get tied and restrained in one place. His greatest wish is probably to travel the world with Lan Wangji. However, because of all the turmoil that occurred in the last few episodes, Lan Wangji is unable to travel quite yet. He has to take care of his clan, and with the new position as Excellency, he has to take care of all the other clans. He has a HUGE responsibility and tons of crap to clean up. That does not give him much time to travel. - Lan Wangji likely does not wish to keep Wei Wuxian restrained at the Cloud Recesses either. Back when he told Lan Xichen he wanted to bring someone back to the Cloud Recesses and hide them there, Lan Xichen replied saying he was afraid they will not be willing. Lan Wangji probably recognized that what Lan Xichen said was right. No matter how much he cares about Wei Wuxian, he cannot force him to stay by his side and deal with these matters. - Wangxian's relationship and trust were already enough for both of them to believe that the parting was only temporary. After all, Wei Wuxian said that they will meet again, so they believed in that. They are soulmates after all, and understand each other's difficulties. The parting was mutually agreed upon and they both thought it was the best for the both of them.
I'm absolutely loving the older generation characters, they're so hilarious. On Ep 32 and very sad that it will end soon :( if they do sequels I really hope the entire cast can come back
lmao I cried more when grim reaper and sunny said goodbye to each other in ep. 16 than when ML died
I relate. The second leads were kind of stealing the show for me. I found their storyline and even the interactions between the two male leads more interesting than the main couple :/
I read something in a comment about a scandal related to one of the ML and a quick google has me super confused.…
I think the only confirmed fact is AO3 got banned. I don't even know if it was confirmed that it was one of his fans. With his popularity during that time also came a bunch of hate and anyone could've claimed to be his fan, we can't prove that. Yesterday Xiao Zhan also sent out a long essay addressing his perspectives on that issue. I think that since this issue occurred a year ago already, there is no point going back to it now, and everyone should just move on. Stuff like this happen all the time in the entertainment industry and cancel culture is so toxic. Unfortunately stuff like this always happens to people that don't deserve any of it.
I am really curious, till which chapter of novel the show covers? Was some parts of the chapters covered censored…
It covers the entire story in the novel, but some of the plot is changed. And of course the more explicit displays of romance are either censored or not included.
I just completed Legend of Fei & Douluo Continent both of which I loved and couldn't wait to watch the next episodes…
https://kisskh.at/discussions/the-untamed/57363-the-untamed-faq a lot of us answered this question and more here But I may need to update my answer. Sure, some people say that the beginning few were hard to get into, so my solution for that is just to watch one episode per day and then amp it up once it gets more interesting for you. If you're watching multiple episodes a day trying to find "expected" enjoyment out of it (bc of hype or love of actors or whatever), it's not going to work. But if you think this drama is worth the finish despite your bad first impression, try the one per day method.
so i havent ever watched a chinese drama in my life let alone a 50 episode kdrama and I wanna know is this worth…
So, you watched Goblin. I'm actually watching Goblin right now and notice that there are some themes that are a little bit similar. Namely (not a spoiler don't worry), we start off the drama with the male protagonist "dying" then we go into the story of who/what/when/where/why. Both dramas also share similar motifs asking the question "what's right, what's wrong". TBH I'm not enjoying Goblin as much as I wanted to, and I find it pretty draggy to get through. The Untamed might be 50 episodes compared to the 16 in Goblin, but the episodes in Goblin are like 2x longer (45 min vs 1.5 hr), so The Untamed might be easier to get through. This is all subjective though, since I found Goblin draggy. I recommend going one episode per day, then if it gets more interesting, you can amp it up! Please enjoy!
This show isn't available in my region, so I'm using VPN and stuff to watch it, and also unlike the others, I'm…
Interesting perspective! I'm currently following a youtuber's reaction videos and once they got to the end of the flashback they said something along the lines of: previously they knew where the story was going, just didn't know how it would get there, but now that the flashback is over, they have no idea where the story is going, and seeing the things that The Untamed is capable of, that is a scary thought. So, the flashback has its own merits in that it tells you straight away how it will end to get you emotionally prepared, but still manages to surprise you along the way because you have absolutely no idea how it will get there. In a way it can be reassuring for some watchers. To each their own :D
