What a stupid comment! Your implying that women of those era were basically ignorant because only men were allowed in the royal court. FYI noble women were the most educated women of their times and were the ones that were intimate to people of power. Your basically saying women from Joseon had no idea and were oblivious to politics. Also stop asserting that her maid who is possibly illiterate is somehow more adept with politicking than someone who had a thorough education like her. It's not realistic, it's just plain ridiculous.

For someone from the past she certainly lacks grittiness, basic politics and awareness of people's hidden agenda. She might as well be a modern, naive, and destitute girl pluck from the streets than a time traveling noble woman. Frankly I don't like this character by LSY.

I'm not use to this acting by LSY. I find her too bubbly and naive in this drama.

The guy is way over the level of the 2nd FL. She is neither pretty nor interesting enough. I really don't understand why they had 2nd ML act so exuberant and have such a sentimental reaction towards her.

Each time that Fangfeng shows up my blood literally boils. How the heck are the leads allowing that tw*t run roughshod over them.

Quite a downgrade from Lin Yun to this actress. Looking forward to watching this despite apprehensions.

The 2nd FL is quite underwhelming to say the least.

The FL seems to have been physically transported to the modern era instead of the usual soul swap trope in these types of dramas. This leads to me believe that she disappeared that day she fell in the well and then has been MIA for nearly 2 centuries. The tomb was possibly just a memorial to her as a virtuous lady.

Those English scenes/convos are just plainly awful. They could have used AI voices and it would have sound much better.

Oh good because I don't like gls sorry not sorry. I had Mark and the ML ex pegged as a couple even before they met and before I knew who ends up with who in this drama.

Well tell the Japanese to improve their production quality if they want much higher ratings. Even dramas from Thailand and the Philippines have much better production value than many J-dramas that look like they were cheap college film productions.

So wrong on many levels and just plain propaganda. You must be a Cdrama hater. It is so obvious. The most overrated dramas here are K-dramas by a wide margin. Which mediocre C-dramas are getting 9's. Do tell because Lost You Forever and My Journey to You, 2 of the best mainland dramas this year are not even close to 9 which they deserve.

He gives off such a mature, serious and dignified vibe that he didn't look out of place with the much older actors playing ministers in the imperial court. I know many actors older than him that would look ridiculous and not believable as court officials. Well done!

My favorite character in SOKP is Yan Lin. I'm sad he is not even joining promos and joining shows with the other actors.

So many handsome guys and far too few beautiful ladies here. Well two Jiang Xue Ning and the princess. Honestly I wasn't particularly drawn to this drama for its romance but in the epilogue they could have hinted some romance for the princess with one of the remaining single ML's. Hell there is even a good looking widower whose available.

The 36th episode was such a filler because I never really enjoyed the leads romance but the last 2 save this from me scoring this an 8.0. This is a solid 8.5 drama for me.

What an idiot move was that from Fangyin. How many times have we seen that in real life.

Just basing on the drama storyline without considering the book ending or the original story, I would pick and open ending or she fulfills her promise with Yan Lin. I really miss his playfulness, camaraderie and the energy he brought to this drama. The other 2 ML's have too much emotional baggage. One of them has morphed into an emo and a very morose character while the other is still the same overbearing, arrogant and vengeful figure from the beginning.

Imagine watching this in HDR in a tablet/tv with at least 1500 nits brightness and you'll surely suffer from flash blindness. This camera effect and style is so overdone. Plus points though because I have not seen recently the exposition of the FL's face with matching wind effect Haha.
