Hong Ye loses his father, sister, and the Masked Daoists....... his only Family. Then just when Huaizhu's love…
ikr! my heart breaks from him. he was shackled with the chain, forever haunted with the ghosts of the dead. still remember when Huaizhu said to him, go and do what you think is right. don’t forget your aspiration. he badly wants to protect the world, to create peace between demon and human, but the price is too high. he lost everything and only left alone with his son. I understand his pain, he becomes a ghost himself. and i wonder, when he able to find closure and accept the grief that engulfing him.
rewatching the last episode; i cried even more. mother liu shishi got the most dialogues in the last episode, everytime she uttered her lines.. im sobbing fat tears.
“in the mortal world, each meeting means lesser time together. i’m envious too that humans and demons can renew their fate in the next life. but hongye and i seem to have used up all our luck just to meet each other.”
“never give up on finding your sword spirit. because the man I love has always been a legendary hero.” — Dongfang Huaizhu.
I rated this 4* because not only "sad ending" but..Nowadays, You don't need your brain when you watch this kind…
no, Jialan is not born from the hatred. she’s a demon fox, her hatred and resentment rooted when the beast kingdom and netherworld tortured jiuhou, shackled him and killed her. from there, her spirit attached to the black grief tree and it becomes growing and growing with hatred. then, she’s no longer jialan herself. Jialan who loves Jiuhou died in that sacrificial ground.
have you seen the interview of the main leads talked about the ending of this drama?(spoiler below):
zhang yunlong said in his interview for #LoveInPavilion
“after huaizhu left, there is one line that came up in my heart; ‘i don’t want to change the world anymore. i admitted that i’m wrong, can you please give huaizhu back to me?’”
I think from the clips on the trailers, it seems that for him it was like love at first sight, but being Oscar…
very much! yes, it’s indeed love at the first sight. but he’s contemplating in every corners because she’s the enemy for his family/clan. hence he tried to push her away. arggh, quickly join us and enjoy the party!
i love how dramatic she was (the situation was dramatic indeed), all the fussed and crybaby, she doesn’t bother to hide her frustrations. and him being so insensitive yet caring in a cold way.
this couple— with their deceitful and cunning ways, especially the FL. he definitely will surrender soon.
the portrayal of grief by Zhang Yunlong as Wangquan Hongye truly deserved the praises. he’s so damn good with delivering the emotions at the right time, those micro facial expressions, the eyes that shed tears, plus with the white haired.
not to forget, our best criers, mother liu shishi, she cried prettily, shed tears as if her life depended on it.. queen always acting so gracefully, yet brilliantly conveyed her emotions.
all the cast members truly did great with their performances, but these two are the forces that glued me to the screen. their performances and chemistry lingered in my mind. the best love story— 7th July, Bamboo Pavilion by River Huai.
the last two episodes are the testament of Hongye and Huaizhu love towards each other. the way she accompanied and lifted him from his grief-stricken. she exhausted her inner-spirit to nourish their son— out of love for her husband. for their son to accompany his father’s journey. he slowly rise from the depression and grief; finally found a glimmer of hope when his wife bear his son. though their happiness only lasted for awhile. their love transcends the heaven and earth, death and life. she loves him infinitely in that finite time. i guess, that’s all that matters.
i might hate the group suicide mission— but the last two episodes give justice to the drama. mother liu shishi— shine brightest in her performance as dongfang huaizhu. zhang yunlong is perfectly casted for wangquan hongye. it’s a job well done you two!
im mad bcs they definitely not yet ready for the battle with the demon fox. and why they all ignoring the forewarning…
real. i couldn’t even shed tears with all the sad scenes bcs im mad. their deaths were so unnecessary. like if hongye managed to go alone, at least he died alone, the casualty not that big. percentage for him to be alive is even more bigger, he’s damn smart and powerful with that wangxuan sword.
i’ll not blame him, rather i think he’s so reckless. he drugged the mask members, but when they joined him, he didn’t try to prevent them to come along. he underestimated his opponent and that’s the price he needs to pay for the rest of his life.
🥺
