yeah, i do think so. and it happens to me sometimes, when a show is so good, they give me so much happiness, then broke me with its angsty part, and i will be a little lost.. like trying to hold on for the invisible rope to keep me floating. and this is exactly what this drama do to me. still, it’s a close to perfection! and i hope it will give a perfect ending too.

the way Wen Xiao had faith in ZYZ when Pei Sijing asked her; wasn’t she worried for ZYZ (the possibility of him going feral). and she said, he’s going to be fine, he run away so he won’t hurt others. for one thing im sure, she clearly worried but her calm demeanour masked her expression well. and like ZYZ said, only Wen Xiao can understand him fully, who will not simply judge him and will look at him with great sympathy. they’re truly each other’s soulmate.

ahaa, i got you. i agreed with you about him being weaker in finer details of plot and story lines. im still angry at him for the mjty ending. he and his questionables ending always left me with heartburn. and yeah, sometimes plothole cant be avoidable, i guess, at some point, even the director get an absurd idea to move the plot along. it happened a lot in other dramas too.

it’s okay. let’s figure it out together. just like you, i feel the same. like there’s a void in my heart, something is not enough or still missing. but i think, we can figure it out as long as we continue watching it. maybe, that’s the purpose of the show. they want slowly reveal to us what’s what important that they want to highlight.

im sorry to say this, but majority of us who clearly enjoyed this drama didn’t seem to view the same things like you. probably, if you dwell it way too much on details, can you see the faults. i have little knowledges about all this shot or filming things, but i enjoyed what i see and so far, from my pov, i have no problem like you mentioned above.

same here. i watch that too. and the cinematography, like his other works, giving the same effect of eyes pleasing. he surely didnt let you down when it comes to cinematic dept!

for real. i love MJTY also. but yeah, didnt expect to love this drama even more. love the aesthetics and great detailings of the cinematography. and another reason i love gjm’s work is that, everyone got to tell their own stories. even tinniest role of supporting actors had their own part to tell. too bad, he’s a bit problematic, hence not many people can accept his work.

Guo Jinming is a talented and brilliant director for sure. Put aside all his problematic issues, credit should be given when its due. i love they way he give details to the drama. The shadow effect at the last scene was so brilliantly executed. hell, it’s funny too. not to mentioned, the eyes pleasing of color pallets that showcasing the dark, gloomy this drama all about. hence, i urge other caliber directors to put the same level of effort like him in filming the drama. im surely watch it all.

Thinking about Neo Hou when he said he last went home about two years ago, because he’s so busy with filming drama/s. And knowing he still filming a new drama and at the same time doing promos for FoF, i really hope he’s in good health and able to take a break that he deserved and go back to home.

Also thinking about everyone who work hard filming in cold weather, like Chen Duling filming the demon scene. She said it’s so cold she’s shaking. Everyone work hard for this drama so that it can be presentable to us. I hope their work hard paid off.

i’m going to miss them deeply once this drama ends 🥲

how there’s still people who said this is a slow drama? i mean— what was it that slow? the plot or the people? 😂 i barely remember if it’s slow, all i knew when i started watching is that; it’s a beautiful drama with gorgeous people flying around here and there. and in a blink of an eye, 1 ep finished.

the first two episodes specifically catch my eyes, the way how they introduced characters, wen xiao having a little cute battle with the cute demon, and my great demon zhu yan; his first appearance with his umbrella just screaming FANTASTIC! i wish i could erase this memory so i can watch this again like the first time.

it’s always put me in tears when one of them asked; “aren’t we friends?”

i mean— at this point, when anyone in the group say that words, i’m bawling my eyes.

FRIENDS is a very simple word yet hold such a powerful meaning and even more to them. They all came this far, going through so much things together. They put aside their miseries, revenge and grief to work together for a better cause.

And our great demon zhu yan is so happy to be part of this friendship. something that i wish won’t be taken from him. this squad, this friendship are everything to him.

it’s a tough love i will say. the squad love him, caring for him but showing it in different kind of ways. they all cherished him, and always asked tough questions to each other (without zyz presence). whether ‘what if’ something happen, could they still able to kill him or forgive him.

in a way, they’re all hurt with the tragedies of losing their loved ones, and at the same time, knew what actually happened to zyz. it’s a tough for them too, but i know.. the end, it will crush them as well to come to term that zyz won’t be part of them anymore.

but yeah, i wish all of them could hug zhu yan and tell him, it wasn’t his fault and they will end this curse for him, so he can be free from the guilt.
