I don't think it's forced. From the beginning, Do Raik was established as someone who had trust issues, temper, and a hatred/trauma for obsessive fangirls. It's not "pulling the mental health card" when that's what he was suffering from the first episode. It's the reason why FL felt like she needed to hide her fangirl identity, so that she could completely focus on the case and let him help her. He wouldn't have accepted her otherwise, and even if he eventually did because no other lawyer would take him, it would take a long time JUST for him to accept a lawyer who he mentioned was crazy. He had already labelled her crazy before knowing she was an obsessive fan.

The show had built up trust from ML's side when she had told him not to hide anything from her, and that "hiding something is lying." He was affected by that because he thought his whole life had been a lie if that's the case. But because she said that, he decided to come clean about everything.

So how do you think he's supposed to feel when she - who had told him "hiding something is still lying," hid the fact that she was one of, if not the biggest obsessive fangirl of his?

Plus, ML clearly said in ep 7 he's not angry because he thinks she lied, he said because she made him believe in her. He, who has trust issues, who said he doesn't have expectations much in people, so he doubts it would hurt that much if he found out someone lied to him, believed her. It's more of his problem than because of her. It just goes to show how deep his trust (and growing romantic feelings) is.

Basically, it's not forced coz it was built up from episode 1 and I thought this was obvious. Yet still so many people think it's just for the sake of conflict.

Now if they still have another huge relationship conflict on top of the murder plot they gotta investigate, then I might agree with you. This show is only 12 eps, it doesn't need that many conflicts.

I might have agreed with you if not for the scene where Raik literally smiles like the sunshine seeing Sena from below in episode 4. He hasn't smiled like that ever since his best friend died, and I would like to see more of him in love. The more in love he is, the more romantic chemistry they have imo. And I think their chemistry shines best when they have their deep conversations. Their skinship is minimal, but the amount of healing their convos give me, makes me want to root for them to stay together. But agree to disagree ofc

I'm loving their chemistry, I think it shines the most when they're having their deep conversations. It makes the more "tropey" romantic scenes like him catching her when she falls, work alongside how much they bond through their communication and understanding.

I basically started this drama because I needed something to watch while waiting for Idol I's new episode, and it was great!

Brilliant ending! The drama grew on me, though I still watched with 1.5x coz I should be finishing my final year project lmao

Jung Kyung Ho is a star! I did watch Oh My Ghost Client but I think the cases were more touching and memorable in this drama.

Okay with the pre-release clip, she admitted she was interested in the case because she was a fan at first, but once she decided to be his lawyer, she put all of her feelings as a fan aside. I can see it. If anything it has always been Do Raik who crossed boundaries, hugging his lawyer and picking her up princess style lol

He might remember what he did but he probably wont remember her face. he doesn't even remember the names of his fans that repeatedly go to his fanmeetings over the years

here's to hoping Chungjae treats Sena like a good friend despite the hurt she's experiencing with Raik

Wasn't the reason she took the case was because Raik's original lawyer dropped it? When he cursed in front of her about his obsessive fangirls, the idol she thought was perfect, wasn't. So initially she was just gonna let the other lawyer take the case, probably a little disappointed his personality was like that. Only when the original lawyer dropped it, did she come forward. Because no other lawyer wanted to take the case. And initially she did wonder if Raik could actually be the murderer? Sena has a 100% winning streak, I think she only decided to take Raik's case because she was convinced he was not a murderer.

And with the recent episode, her boss said he realizes why she couldn't let go of Raik's case, because like her father who had no one who believed him, she regretted that even she didn't tell her dad that she trusted him, so now with Raik so she chose to trust herself that believed in Raik.

He doesn't even remember the name of his stalkers who repeatedly go to his fanmeetings over the years and barge into his house, so I doubt he would remember one face from an encounter 20 years ago

Well she IS the main character...and her backstory was only revealed in episode 5-6. Episodes 1-4 were mostly about Do Ra Ik, his struggles, his backstory and helping him heal.

Idk how extraordinary she should be at home, before Raik was in her house she was comfortable fangirling. Now he's at her house, all she can do is work silently. And how is she a lover at home lol all Sena and Raik does at her home so far has been having deep conversations but that's about it

the first time he was walking around her house looking at pictures, i knew he was gonna find out by snooping some more rip

if it was just a murder mystery, yeah it can end in 10 eps, but with the romantic development, i think 12 is just right. ep 5 and 6 had the leads' growing closeness as the highlight, while the murder mystery is taking its time. which is fine imo i just hope they know how to balance it towards the end
