There's a lot going on but yes I guess 12 episodes is better for a show that is plot-centric so it doesn't feel dragged out. I'm happy they found out about her identity at lot faster than I thought they would

This drama and king of the land goes head to head in netflix , which is a better watch?
hard to compare. King the Land is a good romcom, embraces the cliches and somehow there's also a slight refreshing aspect to it. all the characters are likable, and the "villains" don't get THAT much screentime that makes you annoyed, just enough to keep the drama from being too happy. but overall, it's a feel-good show that's character-centric rather than plot-centric.

whether as with See You In My 19th life, I think it's trying to do a lot of too much in the span of 12 episodes. There's the past life problems, the present life problems, the curse, the relationship development for both couples. It's definitely more plot-centric than KTL, which is great if you prioritize plot over characters. I'm intrigued about the plot, what's gonna happen next, the mystery of it all...but I don't have a particular attachment to the characters nor their relationship as much as I should. Although Ji-eum and Cho-won's sisterly relationship has grown on me as well as Seoha and Han Do-yoon's friendship. But the romance is kinda not hitting idk maybe coz I'm a slow burn fan and these characters kinda liked each other before the audience could watch their feelings grow.

King the Land is giving me everything I've been craving for in a classic romcom. I don't usually have the mood for romcoms, but I'm always a huge sucker for grumpy, tsundere rich guy x cheerful, innocent average girl lol plus Junho and Yoona's chemistry is sooo much better than I thought they'd be from the teaser. I'm glad I was worried for nothing.

Probably coz the other two only played during the previews. I especially liked Key by Bryn, looking at the lyrics its definitely about Sera's supervision and how she's the key to solving the mystery.

Title Good Job
From the get-go, it was easy to recognize Good Job was gonna be mostly a romcom between a detective chaebol and a girl with supervision. It never promised some kinda deep plot, so I was always more focused on the relationship between the two leads that progressed as they kept getting themselves into trouble as they investigated and then fall in love slowly but sweetly. I liked watching them being bickering partners to partners in crime to fake lovers to something more. The supporting characters were nice and did not take up too much of the screentime which was good for me, because I had endless complaints about Bossam's leads getting less screentime and the villains were getting more.

It had a predictable plot, but I've been watching a lot of twist and turn dramas lately (Big Mouth, Little Women etc.) that Good Job kinda felt like a breeze to watch, I don't feel the need to think too hard and just enjoy the chemistry between the two leads. I do have a little greed over some things like certain romantic scenes could have been better edited and maybe give the two leads a passionate kiss on top of a sweet one, but overall, it was a fun 12-episode ride!

Hopefully another opportunity to collab again between Jung Il-woo and Kwon Yuri comes in the form of a well-scripted, well directed drama though!

well i don't really pay any mind to it but there's a lot of flaws in the logic, like how sunwoo can survive that stab wound after being dunk in water, and fight multiple gangsters, and he almost fell off a cliff among other things. but its coz i dont want an episode to be dragged out for long, so idc that he healed so quickly and i can forgive the logic lol

totally agree with you! but i have a feeling that they accepted this drama knowing that it would be hard for them to reunite again with a GOOD script. yuri said one of the main reasons she accepted was coz of jung ilwoo along with the role of someone with supervision. she definitely didnt accept coz of the script. so i would rather they choose good job with a poor script rather than waiting uncertainly for another chance at seeing them reunite. yuri didn't wanna let this chance pass by, i bet she knew how unsatisfied us bossam fans were with the romance lol.

hoping the last four eps is chock full of quality romantic scenes. usual romcoms would have me stoic but these two get me so giddy for some reason.

This drama definitely falls into "it's so bad, it's good" category lol. Everything just does not make any sense…
tbh good job is intended to be a romcom. yuri specifically mentions there's four genres, romance, comedy, investigation/mystery and action. the mystery plot isn't intriguing coz it's pretty obvious but imo their romcom chemistry wasn't wasted here! altho i do agree they could've unleashed their full chemistry potential with a better script but they're doing well so far working with what they've got for a script.

Title Good Job
You have to turn off your critical eye and logic for this drama in order to enjoy it, which I did and now I am…
ENA is a new cable channel, I think they initially were very lax about the writing when they made the script, they didn't pressure themselves too much hence why the writing is mediocre. You can tell by how the behind the scenes, the cast were very carefree and even had fun with the cringe scenes lol. I'm sure ENA didn't expect Extraordinary Attorney Woo to blow up the way it did. So they're probably feeling regretful that they half-baked the script, especially with how they even changed directors in the middle of filming.

There's no need to give it a high score, if you can't enjoy it. If I were being critical I wouldn't enjoy it either. But Good Job is one of the few dramas I decided to just embrace everything and surprisingly I do find myself enjoying it. Plot is bad but at least the characters are fun, and the actors have chemistry. Pretty sure the writers knew their script isn't very intelligent, so they brought in actors that could at least bring the enjoyment from this drama in a different way. One of the GJ representatives even said "The most important thing in a romantic comedy is chemistry between the leads" so I'm convinced they put their trust on their leads' chemistry more than anything else.

Plus, I'm highly convinced the drama writers are bitter Bossam fans who were unsatisfied with the romance in Bossam. It's obvious with the amount of parallels to Bossam scenes. The action/mystery plot is just not given the same amount of care and attention lol

how's the romance ?
its so good if you're a fan of slow burn!! coz they bicker at first, but they become good partners, with little hints of romantic attraction. but the progress starts to happen for real in the latest episode (ep 8) so i personally would recommend this drama for great romantic chemistry between the leads!

The writers for Good Job are never beating the bitter Bossam fan allegations...everything we wanted from Bossam that we didn't get, we got it right here in this drama! So I will excuse any dumb logic as long as the romance between the two leads progress naturally. And it's wonderful so far!

i was gonna have low expectations coz usually when i have low expectations for something it ends up being a hit (like bossam lmao) so hopefully reverse psychology works this time too.

but even if it doesn't become a hit, the premise is so my taste. i love mystery dramas where the leads investigate together but usually those don't have romance so i end up shipping a ship that isn't canon (stranger/secret forest rip) but good job is giving me what i want with two attractive leads partnering up to solve cases and falling for each other at the same time!
