Title Idol I Spoiler
yeah totally miss enemies to lovers. but these days you gotta be really careful with hardcore enemies to lovers…
FL in Secret Love imo the strongest female lead I've seen. Despite multiple unfortunate events and crying her eyes out, she still presevered.

I want true hardcore enemies to lovers but it would be hard to avoid being problematic, coz obviously someone is gonna act questionable with their enemy right?

Like in Idol I, when the prosecutor and FL first met again, it seemed like an enemies to lovers meet cute. I almost thought he was the male lead coz I didn't read the synopsis. then it was shown he bullied her...

if the writers have the prosecutor being attracted to the lawyer he previously bullied in high school, and he continues to be terrible to cover up that he's attracted to her....very toxic lol there's no way to repair that especially since he bullied her to the point she was attempting suicide.

even if he was redeemed by apologizing to the FL and properly investigated, there's no chance for FL to ever like him anymore. but one-sided angst is good enough for me lol

It's Hye Joo. The earring that's missing belongs to her. She's wearing it when she's fighting with Ra-Ik in episode…
Hmm true true. And he showed no signs of resistance either.

This is a top drama so the competition will work hard to drag it down. I am seeing that in No Tail to Tell...…
I mean Idol I is only doing modestly in domestic ratings, and is already out of the Top 10 Global Non-English shows ranking on Netflix. At least let Idol I fans have that top spot on MDL lol

I love Choi Soo Young. She is one of the rare idol to actor graduates who can actually act. Changes her look for…
Yoona's a reliable actress who takes on roles that she can handle, which is also admirable. Love Sooyoung and Yoona immensely. But this is definitely my favourite role for Sooyoung so far. Usually some of her roles make me think, oh it's just Sooyoung being Sooyoung. But Sena's really different.

I am sad that the rating is dropping, this drama is really good and really enjoyable to watch in my opinion...…
the last 2 episodes will make it or break it. If I'm not biased I'd give this show an 8.5 so far, but I'm biased coz for some reason it hits all the right places for me, so I'd give it a 9. The rating could go down fast if the murder mystery isn't satisfying.

After catching up on the available episodes:Imo “Idol I” fulfills the promise, “Dynamite Kiss” couldn’t…
I had fun with Dynamite Kiss until abt ep 10 but after that it just seemed okay. The last 2 eps was laughable but yeah didn't need to take it seriously.

Idol I has been great so far, there were some things I hoped would be better, like bringing up Sena's past when there's only 2 eps left seemed sudden. I thought the show wasn't going to address it, but it seems like Sena will get closure. I wish it could have been done a tad earlier. Now with 2 eps left, we got to prove Raik's innocent (again becoz the prosecutor is a stubborn bastard) the killer to look for, and somehow apply for a retrial for Sena's dad so she's no longer the murderer's daughter.

And somehow get at least 30 minutes of Raik x Sena happily in love in the last episode...I'm worried lmao

Crazy idea, but what if the murderer is one of the fans who broke into his house? They knew the password and where…
The two fans who broke into his house had an alibi that night, they were following some other celebrity.

Ep 10 was kinda meh FOR ME.. but the ending of the ep picked up the pace again.. I feel last 2 eps are going to…
Ep 10 was a full blown romance so the people who came for it, I imagine felt it was worth it. Otherwise there was only like one romantic scene per episode after ep 4.

I know the last 2 eps will be exciting but I'm also worried it will end up being rushed. So many decent dramas were ruined thanks to the last 2 eps lol

I really like it. It's not a hardcore legal drama so don't come in expecting a courtroom drama or investigations.…
Oh you described Idol I really well. I think a lot of people coming in Idol I had different expectations after the first 2 eps, thinking it's main message is raising awareness about idol's hardships when that was mostly just Raik's character arc. Some even don't want Sena and Raik together thinking it would bring a bad message to fans about how they have a chance with their idols when Sena and Raik did not even start off as idol and fan, just two lonely humans.

Honestly, I can’t say I was bored but I was definitely disappointed. The contrast is especially noticeable when…
As much as I'm enjoying the show, I agree Sena's past did not get nearly the same amount of care that Raik's past got. I thought that the fragmented flashbacks was good in the sense that it gave her character a little more mystery, because the viewers, like Raik, don't know much about Sena in the beginning. because she's closed off. So as she tells her story to Raik, she also tells her story to viewers.

I think at least during that scene in episode 8 where she tells Raik her father was framed for murder, that should have been a scene with a flashback. Raik had a long flashback scene with his mom which was supposed to tell Sena and the viewers his story.

But there's only 2 eps left so I don't think there's any time for flashbacks anymore. They might do it if they link the prosecutor's father framing sena's dad for murder with his son trying to frame raik.

Chungjae reminds me of the sml character in Dynamite Kiss. Both have been friends with the FL for a long time…
Imo Chungjae is a little different in the sense that, he must have realized his feelings for Sena a long time ago, but he always knew she only sees him as family so he never did anything.

He only hinted he worried for her because her feelings for Raik made her hurt, unlike when she was his fan where he had always made her smile (except that time his dating rumor broke out). And he always showed how jealous he was when she fangirled, saying that he's also handsome and her idol is just human too but Sena quickly retorted he was just mud compared to Raik. He probably had attempted to pursue Sena at one point but with how obsessed she was with Raik, probably felt like he had no opening. And Sena wasn't surprised when he confessed, she probably realized his feelings becoz she only said lets not cross the line.

Meanwhile, SML in Dynamite Kiss had never shown any jealousy when he told FL to find a boyfriend when she goes to Jeju Island. When she came back from being chased by creditors he wasn't nearly as worried as he should be if he had special feelings. There was no hint until he saw from the window she was with the ML. His feelings kinda came out of nowhere and was unnecessary. That's why FL was genuinely shocked he confessed. He had never made his romantic feelings known, because he only realized it after she was with a new guy.

then again, it only proves that Hyejoo entered his house. the actual murderer could have been someone who was with her. coz how a small woman stab a tall man precisely? unless she was always crazy and is really good with the knife

ML is childish. He's facing serious murder charges, and he's flirting with his lawyer. And, oh my! She played…
that's what makes him a pretty selfless guy (and hilarious). he def is childish tho, being abandoned by his mom and exploited by his CEO at such a young age, don't think he learned much about how to adult. Sooyoung who plays the FL says she first booked her first flight and hotel at 28 and her therapist told her "it's as if you're stuck in time and you're still a high schooler" so imo I bet a lot of idols are pretty childish. he also never went to an aquarium before. In ML's case more emotionally tho, no one taught him how to control his emotions in a healthy way hence his anger issues. he only knows how to repress them.

in the first few eps he was distraught and suicidal but not so much about the fact that the whole world thinks he's a murderer but because he himself started to believe he killed his best friend.

but then his lawyer spent 5 episodes believing in him and gaining his trust and in ep 5 he finally believed in himself that he wasn't a murderer, and then he became so much lighter.

then jaehee became a suspect, he got his house back because the public believes he's not the culprit anymore, but he's not even happy about being off the hook becoz jaehee's in a coma.

then the indictment happened, after he had told the FL that he doesn't care about what anyone says. he's consistent i'll give him that.

plus they just got circumstantial evidence of someone else entering his house. FL told him the prosecution is building up a case solely becoz jaehee wasn't suicidal, there's proof someone tried to murder him and they're pinning it on ML, when he clearly has an alibi stalking sena. he just didn't tell the prosecution.

as a viewer, I also don't think the situation of proving his innocence is difficult. trying to catch the real culprit is the real problem.
