I'm caught up and this is good! The story, pacing, WJY & CZY, really fun watch & exciting story.

I know, I was dying! I couldn`t believe the forbidden fruit part, and how it ended at a cliffhanger. To make things worse, I didn`t expect the next epi will drop after 4 days!
How will I handle the wait?!? 😩

For the mods or those in the know, is there a way to update the rating? Right now it's 8.0 but Not sure if it's correct if you look at ratings broken down by age group?!?

..like most people here that the masked man wearing the black hooded robe is right chancellor Gu (big brother to the Tiger Roar leader who helped him attain power & his high position at court by blackmailing & threatening officials). Left chancellor Xu meanwhile really only cares about his reputation and keeping his position of power, but would never mastermind or commit such evil acts as Gu.

As for Yin Qing's true identity, seeing him recognize the tatoo on FL's shoulder and then later on nearly in tears after finding out how much she suffered as an orphaned child shows a hidden connection, that he knows something about her roots, probably both from the same fallen kingdom.. Also the character chart shows a connection between him and Situ Xue, and we know she is clearly a spy for the secret group that met in the underground red cave (earlier we saw her and the Shazhou assassin who killed Ding Chong pay homage to a different masked man, probably the fallen kingdom's heir to the throne). I'm guessing our FL, Yin Qing, and Situ Xue share the same origin and that Yin Qing is the masked leader in the red cave!

So it seems like there may be 2 mysterious masked men!?

I am loving this drama so far! Not one dull moment for me with epic memorable scenes (goodness ep 15's court scene! I watched that part twice it was that good! 👏) and amazing acting esp from WJY. I'm completely drawn in to the story.

wow WJY is amazing yet again! Ep 13 was sooo exciting & sooo good!!! CZY is killing his role too, his scenes with WJY have so much chemistry 🔥🔥🔥

our ML came back from the dead/!?! It seems like he faked his death so that he could have the freedom to find a cure but isn't hiding his plans from his wife unfair and cruel? She was grieving and in pain over his death, threatened at court after all the political upheaval, also gave birth and raised their child for a few years alone, and missing him all the while. I can't help but think there could have been a better way. Maybe novel readers can explain his reasons for keeping her in the dark..

Ok...I just finished and didn't really understand how,

OMG I didn't expect what happened by the middle of ep 35 to happen! I could not have predicted..great plot / character twist!

I wasn't sure about the slow pacing of BoP, but the excellent acting more than made up for it. Meng Ziyi went above & beyond, the 2nd couple nearly stole the show, but the best surprise for me was Jeremy Xu. He really stood out, he was amazing as Prince Xin! 👏👏👏

Wow Cheng Lei in epi 31 😭 He & Bai Lu have been phenomenal! Totally became their characters.

I can't believe how invested I am in their story, it's becoming even more exciting. Fine, there have been some annoying plotholes, like I just couldn't understand how Su Zui Die escaped so easily and how the Cangbei people didn't dare chase her down...but really these just blips in an otherwise gripping and original narrative.

I'm so sad for Ye Li...😭 MXY is suffering too...I get his reaction though, and she does too, that's why she left 😭

I wondered about that too, why all of a sudden in prison Ye Li couldn't fight back against Marquis Muyang's henchman, whereas before she was able to channel / take on her teacher's martial arts skills. This is explained though in a later scene when her senior Li Fei Bai blamed himself in front of Gu Zheng for her losing her martial arts after telling her that Master Zhu went back to Lishan mountain. After saying this to her, from that point, whatever remnant of Master Zhu that was "with" Ye Li (like martial arts skills) left her too.

ngl in every scene where Ye Li talks to Qing Shuang, I get goosebumps, like I`m freaking out!

Now on epi 20, the part when Ye Li is channeling Master Zhu fighting the assassins...and I finally get that she has dissociative identity disorder. What trauma did she experience at Lishan? It was closed off for 8 years, could it be everyone there died and she witnessed it? omg

omg epi 15 was so gripping! just goosebumps. Bai Lu is soo good here!!!

I'm only on ep 9 and wow the soundtrack! I get goosebumps lol, it really adds a lot to the mood. So far, very intrigued by this story!
