This was solid. I'd give it a high 7 (almost 8). Some stellar acting (mainly from the criminals tbh!) and the plot kept you watching. Also it's refreshing to see a crime/thriller Kdrama that doesn't shove unnecessary romance into the plot. If there's a second season I'd definitely watch it.

You can definitely dub while sitting down, but standing gives much better sound. I do love the ML's natural voice so it's sad his wasn't used.

A naive emperor who repeatedly ignores the advice of smarter people, tries to be the "good guy", fcks everything up, then says sorry. Rinse & repeat x5000. So frustrating to watch. Empress & Sima Yi's great acting kept me watching.

Cnetz found out that YuYue already had a gf while he was on the show and that he was only on the show for publicity. His rich gf admitted it on weibo.... so he was a complete fake on the show & it explained a lot of his actions.

The whole YuYue scandal kinda spoiled the end for me (I think netizens revealed it when ep 8 was released) so it left a sour taste in my mouth but I'm super happy bc my fave couple survived yayy.

omg thank GOD they cast the same actors. It wouldn't have been the same without ML & FL

I started this and pretty soon was annoyed by FL, thinking I would drop the drama after a couple of eps...but it got better and better (the FL too, thankfully).

Ended up being a really emotional watch for me. A lot of that was due to the ML (those soulful looks he would give FL!) but I got really invested in the story and ended up binging the second half.

I wish the ending had given us more but it was a great watch. I cried in every episode from ep 18 onwards! This has been the best Cdrama I've watched in 2021 and 2022 hands down.

Highly recommend this. I've been in a drama rut for ages and started ep 1 of this randomly and was instantly hooked.

The ML/FL relationship is a pretty rare one in Cdrama-land (healthy, on equal footing, witty, believable, develops naturally)

A smart FL who doesn't speak in a baby voice and actually uses her brains? Check
Legit chemistry between ML & FL? Checkkkkk
Engaging plot? Check
Supremely binge-worthy? checkkkkk
Also on a more superficial level, ML's deep natural voice not dubbed? checkkkkk

I binged through the first 20 eps and now I've been savouring each episode slowly. Hoping the series ends as well as it started. 9+ rating for sure.

Nothing new or fresh, but I enjoyed the first half and the community spirit in particular. Then it went downhill at the end with the idiotic plotline... 6/10

Yes!! There were certain parts that made no sense at all (unless important scenes were edited out??) Yan Kai falling in love with the nosy & pushy heiress was so illogical.... one of the more wtf plot lines.

I literally came here to write the exact same thing! This drama is all-round goooood (so far!) if you ignore the sub-par acting of Li Na *cough*. Here's hoping it maintains the pace right to the end. The rating is comically low for this, whereas idiotic Cdramas have a high 8.
